Yes, I do get holiday pay for my double shift tomorrow, which helps ease the pain a little bit.

Karen, I'm picturing you puffing on a pencil. Whatever works. :) I'm very proud of you.

Welcome, Signal. Nice to meet you. Drop in anytime.

Vicki, I know what you mean. You know I'm a night owl and I have to be up at 6:15am to work a double shift.

Aik, I couldn't see half the banners on here, either. It was my AdBlock Plus. I simply turned it off just for this site and now I can see them all.

are you plannning on sleep or does Zombie become you? While we enjoy your company immensely, we'd get worried! proud of you too miss thing!

Hi Signal, welcome to the thread. We do stay on topic much more than it may appear at times. We are all in various stages of our journey. I appreciate where you are coming from. And for me, I also can not smoke one here or there. If I pick up one I will smoke the pack. And then go buy another one. But I also know several people that can only smoke on the weekend when they go out to a bar or party. I can't do that. I can have a glass of wine with dinner and that is that, and I know people who can have none.

I did not know that there was a Nicotine Anonymous. NA stands for Narcotics Anonymous so I am not sure what you are referring to. It is a sister organization to Alcoholics Anonymous. Both organizations have been very helpful to many many people. ECF does sometimes feel like AA for smokers to me. Where you you find the Nicotine Anonymous listing of meetings. I would like to take a look at that.

I am glad that you have found your way to not smoking. How long have you been vaping. Glad you found us.

I don't have a clue what would happen if I smoked one, I would have said there is no way I could quit unless he and I both did it at the same time, but he hasn't quit and other than the fact that he reeks when he comes back inside from smoking I honestly don't even notice him smoking, it isn't bothering me at all. I simply prefer vaping, I'm back in a place where I'm not even thinking about smoking and hopefully I stay there. :)

A 12 step program would probably make me smoke, lol, and no way would I go to meetings, again that would probably stress me to the point that I would not only smoke but drink as well, maybe before going to the meeting.

I'm fairly sure that all of us were still smoking when we came into this group and became friends, the support and friendship here is probably the reason those of us who are not smoking at all, aren't. There is no one size fits all for anything and everyone here seems to understand that more than in many other places.

Come on in and sit a spell and relax, no pressure here just support.

Hey, if it works for you, go for it. I never thought of a friendship tip for that. Good idea. I was never a pen chewer so I just needed something to hold that felt like a cigarette.

I never chewed a pencil but I sucked so many cigs down everyday, I had to hold something. I bet the eroll would be good for in the kitchen for hands free

I've seen MOV around alot. Who is that?

It's Mountain Oak Vapor, they have two stores in my general area and are very nice helpful people. I haven't been to their stores yet since the closest is about 30 miles away and I don't often drive distances, I tend to stay right in town unless I have someone to go with me, and that doesn't happen often.

Signal, you are not alone at all. There are a lot more people that go back and forth between vaping and smoking by choice or for other reasons than it appears. We celebrate the big and little accomplishments here. And all you can do is try. I have been very fortunate in my transition from smoking to vaping. I smoked 2 pad for 45 years before I picked up a Blu on a whim at the tobacco shop when I was buying my carton of Marlboro 100s. I had previously quit for 6 months using the Chantix, but a major surgery lead me to pick up the cigarettes again. The Blue did not cut it for me; I still have it here somewhere. But it lead me to Google and then ECF where I spent a few weeks reading and learning. I am using Spinners and I drip into a 510 atty. I use an Evod when I am out. I had one false start and smoked again like a chimney for a week. Now I am smoke free and happily vaping. Still struggle with thoughts and urges for cigarettes once in a while.

This group of people and this thread is my home here on ECF. We look after each other and support each other. If it was not for the people here, I would still be smoking.

I was gonna suggest that, but I didn't want everyone to

I'm a bit of a fanboi for the eRoll.

You are not alone, many of the group here use the eroll. I am under financial stress so, It isn't an option right now but I just posted an alternative.

I answered so fast I didn't realize it was you Alisa, lol

Thanks for the welcome!

Yeah, I was doing great at one time. Went to vaping 100% of the time and then stress came. I decided to vape at the same exact time I am going through a divorce. Then I developed bronchitis which made vape inhales impossible without coughing like I was dying. That was a month ago and my lungs still not fully recovered.

I spent so much damn money on vaping, I refuse to give up. For whatever reason analog smoke does not trigger coughing as much as vapor does with my lungs all jacked up.

cigarettes contain chemicals designed to deaden your lungs and allow you to inhale deeper. That's why they feel more soothing, but trust me, they aren't. It's not unusual for x-smokers to develop bronchitis within the first year they quit. It's actually a sign your lungs are coming alive again. It's also possibe for smoking to mask other illness.

I've got bronchitis AGAIN (had it 2 weeks ago too). It's just an extra little hurdle in the journey. I think getting off the added chemicals in cigs is harder than the nicotine. However I'll be :censored: if I'm going to give up now.

Yup, it's adblock.
Sorry. I may not take it off in case I forget to turn it on again.

It might, but I have to spend so much time fiddling with mine that I'm not all that happy with them, they both leak and the coils clog and then they don't provide enough vapor for a decent hit and I get disgusted and just put them away until I'm going out. They help when I'm out but by the time I get home I feel like I'm having a nicotine fit and reach for a "real" vape. If I could get them to hit good all the time it would be ok, but even changing the atty didn't help the one, it still draws hard and with just a tiny bit of vapor.

I think part of the problem is that I try to puff too hard to get more vapor than they can produce and that makes it worse, they help when I'm out but that's about it, and even as little as they are they are too heavy to use hands free for me, I have weak lips apparently, lol.

This is another wise post by you Claudia. I have noticed a few others that you have made that have really stood out for me. You have great insight and get it. I agree with all you said in this post and could not have said it better. Thank you.

I would come up there and go with you but it is too far for a day trip. I looked up your town on google maps to see how close we were to each other. It looks like a good 3 1/2 hours and that is too much for me in one day. I would say let's meet 1/2 way, but I know you don't like the driving. Does DH ever race over towards Murfreesboro, McMinnville, etc. Or you stay pretty local.

Thank you Shari, I appreciate that. We live in a time where everyone is supposed to fit into one template and if you don't then there is something wrong with you. Often I am the one who is wrong but I don't think I am here, this mindset puts so much pressure on everyone that I'm not surprised we are all so screwed up.
I don't ask that anyone agree with anything I say or do, what I do works for me, what you do works for you, we are both right just not necessarily for others. That is how it should be, there are many different right ways to do everything, not just one.

One of the good things about getting old is that you know things like this :) and stop trying to impress others. The minute anyone tells me that their way is the only right way to do anything, I'm gone, although I've always felt that way.

That's too bad. I never had a moment's trouble with mine. I will say that now that I'm using clearomizers with more holding capacity, filling the tank is a PITA so I'm not using mine hardly at all. But today I picked it up to try out a new juice and was surprised that it gave me just as much vapor as my spinner at 4 volts.

I have no clue what those are. I am used to seeing the actual FT page so I can see their meager explanations of the product. Did not look like an ego or 510 connection. I do not know. Small and pretty. Don't like the clearo, but that is me. I like my Evods, but have not used a top coil. I am useless to you here Karen.

what do you all think of these?

I feel like crap again. Allergies and sure enough, into my lungs again. I think I just got off antibiotics a week ago. I haven't made up for that time I was down, and again? Old, old, old. I'm getting angry.

Anyway that's my rant. Happy Labor Day.

(((aikanae1)))

Sorry to hear you're having so many issues! I hope you feel better soon, and for good!
