Good afternoon all! I'm finally off the marathon phone call that's kept me tied up for a couple hours. The people I'm related to don't understand that my day job causes me to *never* *ever* want to talk on the phone. Ever.

Anyway, got a couple things done today but have a couple left. Need to cook up some lentils this afternoon, that's going to be lunch for me for a few days this week. Might do chicken and rice too if I can find the gumption. Of course there is more laundry to do, houseful of women and a messy 5 year old, we ALWAYs have laundry! And the last thing on the list is bathing the puppies, who both despise bathing with a purple passion. They are the least fond of the blow dryer, although both of them are furry enough that they will not get dry without it. {In case I never told you, I have a long-haired Chihuahua and a Pekingese, so furballs are us.}

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Karen, stop falling off that horse, your back can't take much more. And Dale, you *forgot* to smoke a cig and you don't think that's HUGE? That's tremendous!!!! Kittyn, you want me to turn the mommy glare back onto you? JJ I was wondering if the DIY monster ate you. Some of those combos you are working on sound yummy!

Okay, gotta get some work done. I'll be back before sleepy-time!

Awwwww!!

Now I've lost the comma key and the darn "m" key again too! Would the gremlins please depart my keyboard!!!!

I got lucky this week I found two keyboards at thrift store for $3.00 each. I took both, they are wired but the way the roomie spills stuff I can't keep up with the cost of replacing them!

aren't they all so cute?

karen, if you use a desk and not your lap for the keybaord (i know its comfortable..) you could get Amazon.com: 111-Key USB Flexible Roll-Up Silicone Keyboard (Black): Computers & Accessories which is silicone and not prone to water damage. had one until my son ripped the cord out of it. only took him 6 months to rip the cord out!

FQ, Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > On-Screen Keyboard. open that then click on your browser again. you can type and then use your mouse on the onscreen keyboard to use comma.

girlfriend is on her way home with food and the laundry. we HAVE a washer and dryer. but.. basement flooded and washer wont go past the fill stage, the dryer will run non stop at full heat.. and the ones we actually own are next door in the trailer we used to live at (where we had to use a laundry mat for the 2 years we lived there before i got them as a birthday present (a month before moving out) but landlord begged us to keep them there for new tenants to use since this house has a washer dryer in it.. GRR).

and my PV seems to be underperforming today. seems like im using no nic juice today. may just be the flavor but dont want to empty the tank to change flavors.

That is great, Dale. Now if you put those cigarettes in a drawer in a spare bedroom then maybe you would forget to go get one at all. At least once in a while. It is also good to hear that you are able to tolerate the vaping for a longer period of time. Sounds like there be some progress there.

Update :D
I noticed something ... dawned on me this morning.
Like I told you guys some time back I put my cig's back in the kitchen so I would have to get up & go get one when I wanted it right?
Well ... heh, I made a habit of grabbing one every time I made a new cup of coffee just in case  Worked good huh?:?:

Anyway, I noticed this morning that for the past two days I would do that & come back to the computer and there lay's the last one I brought cause I've been vaping instead!:w00t: Yeah, it's not a HUGE
improvement but it's something right?

Still makes my mouth sting & stuff but it's not unbearable until late in the evening so I've got high hopes for the future :)

Hi everyone. I just got done posting in Kittyn's DH thread. How wonderful Kittyn that the bug has bitten him. It came by way of a side door, but that does not matter. Sounds like you have a mad scientist in the making. That Mad Murdocks Agent Orange he wants to recreate I believe may be a tank cracker. Check that out first. And if it is orange, be careful of the flavorings. I think some of the oranges are oils and that is a no no for vaping.

But how wonderful for you both. With the cost of cigarettes today, vaping could save you two some significant dollars. Of course, you may have to find a spare room you can lock to keep the minions out for his lab.

I have been buried in the DIY forum and its threads for the past several days. As you know, I have a need to read everythng I can find on a topic before I start on a new endeavor. This is going to take me weeks. I am in various stages of confusion. Just as I reach the point that I think I understand something, I tackle a new thread and that comfty feeling of knowing something gets yanked in another direction.

Since I am a reader and I enjoy a good discussion and debate, I am in my own little version of heaven. As long as I am in the reading stage I am safe and happy. It is going to be a mess when I actually start mixing. A fun mess, but a mess. And as a side note, I Hate Steeping. Just thought I would throw that out there. And math and percentages. Caculators and percentages baffle me at this point. Which calculator do you all prefer?

So I am happily in the reading stage.

Shari I think the easiest way to start DIY is to use a nicotine base that's half what mg you vape. I vape 18mg so I usually buy 36mg nic base. So when I mix a 30ml bottle I know I need 15mls nic base. I use 20% flavor and vape 50/50 so it's 15mls vg nic 6mls flavors and 9mls pg.
There's also a cool iPhone app too and it's free :thumb:

Hey everyone! About to lose my tiny mind over here! Looks like the comma and the "m" made a reappearance sometime within the last 10 minutes. I give up!

The girls are driving me crazy, the little one specifically won't leave the big one alone. The big one is elbow deep in a whole weekend's worth of homework that she just started on this afternoon. The little one is "booooooooooooooooooored" said in her best whining tone, and what's more fun for a bored 5 year old than tormenting a stressed out teenager? Well, aside from tormenting a stressed out mom, she can't find anything else to do. Despite the amount of toys I pick up and step over on a daily basis, according to her, there is nothing to do.

Arrrrgh!!!! And I hope you're all having a better day than I did! Off to wrangle one into the tub and hopefully sleep will follow, leaving peace for the other and hopefully me too!

fixed it for ya lox. half of 18 would be 9mg base.. and never be able to reach 18mg without a higher base nic to add.

if not allergic to peanut butter maybe make some peanut butter playdough? she can then play with it then eat it when she is done! lol. my 3 yo son loves helping make it and snacking on it for the rest of the week.

Hello everyone,

Just popping in and out. Got m'labs back, things are looking good, now I'm pushing the doc a little on how much thyroid to take, but so far not much resistance. One more dose increase (to 2 grains, = to 200 mcg of synthroid) and another set of labs in 6 weeks. My TSH has gone to 1 (target), and my FT3 and FT4 are in "normal" range but low. Doc was OK with the numbers, but I want them to be higher so she agreed to the increase. She's more on the conventional side of how much thyroid is OK--but since I'm still having a few issues (like still cold and hair falling out) she agreed to more.

We'll see how it goes in 6 weeks--I'm preparing to maybe have to fight with her a little if my FT3 doesn't improve. That's what causes hypo symptoms, not the TSH or FT4--plus it's the one that if too low, or low-ish for too long causes major health issues (heart and bones).

This time the adjustment is a bit rough...so I'm really tired in the evenings.

A bit too tired to comment or keep up with you all here, but I didn't want anyone to think I had ditched ya.

Hopefully next week I'll be all adjusted and ready to join in the discussion.

==waving Hello=== to Alisa! So glad to hear that the meds are starting to work! Hopefully this last tweaking will do the trick for you.

not happenning, guess I am not getting to sleep after all, and I am tired just can't take the pain today

(((((Hugs))))), sorry to hear that you've been having a rough time with the pain again. I agree with Dale -- temporary pain one can smile through (usually), but long term pain will grind you down.
If the December hearing goes your way will that also open up medical care for you?

Actually I was a die hard evod fan and bcc fan until I tried the i16 - haven't touched an evod since. The i30s blows away any tank I've tried including my zap. Just my :2c:

Great, all these glowing reviews of the i16 ... so now I need to add that to my "want it" list. So, will it fit an eGo?

I'm doing lousy on my cutting down ... did the 4 cigs or less for several days ... got stressed, doing the pack a day again. Doesn't help that almost all my atty's are old and are tasting it, and I burned a new one right off the bat yesterday, and didn't have time (due to work) to switch to another new one. Nothing worse tasting than a brand new burnt atty. --gag--
