I hate, hate, HATE flakery. BF deals with it constantly in his business (he does high-end pinball restoration). I would be nothing but a major stress-ball if I had do deal with the kind of flakes he does on a daily. Actually, he kind of is a stress-ball, come to think of it...

First of all, the kind of people who need "high-end pinball restoration" are by definition a fair distance out of the mainstream, at best. (I have several pins, and can manage to keep them running, which is about as far as I go).

Not to go OT, but have you guys ever been to the Pinball Museum in Vegas? Not what you might expect - A warehouse-style room with several hundred pins dating from the 50's all the way to the present - and You Can Play Them! It's actually a charitable organization, run by volunteers (many of whom will do a couple of months a year working the floor, and bring a dozen or a hundred of their own machines with them to change up the mix!) I love the aisles of the early machines, you get to see how the games progressed over the years (and the early ones are still a quarter!) I always wind up having to go down the later aisles toward the end, since I try to burn $20 in quarters each visit, and it's pretty much impossible on the machines from the 50's-70's. Just when you think you're making progress, you win an extra game!

Sorry that he got rained out. Lots of driving for him, two days in a row. Oh I hope he does well tomorrow.

That would be quite an outing for me. I am still trying to decide if I want to take the 45 minute drive to go up to a Nashville vape meet. It is the group from back in August that I did not enjoy that much. If I leave the house at all tomorrow, it would be to go to that meet. DH and I have been to a couple of car races and it just does not do it for us. DH is not good with crowds and I am not good with the loud noise. We are fuddy duddys. Plus I would never be able to pull DH away from the Sunday football.

Well he just called, they got rained out and are going to run it tomorrow so he left the car and trailer there and will be home in a few minutes. Shari he will be running at the Buffalo Valley track up your way, that is why I stayed home cause it's a two hour drive and just makes it too long a day to keep the poor pups crated. I won't be going with him in the morning but if you decided to go you know what the car looks like. It's a big race, there are 75 cars in his class and it's a pretty big money race.

We haven't been...but we've seen it in documentary about pinball "nerds". BF is into the modern ones; digital displays and newer due to the maintenance issue you mention.

He has been trying to get someone to finance a similar thing here, only more of a private pinball club, where membership allows people to play mint-condition restored games as often as they want. Everyone digs the idea, but no one wants to commit any money. Between him and one of his associates, they have probably 75 games that they could actually get to make some money. The other guy just sees it as a hobby and isn't interested in the profit-making end of it.

But yeah, he's pretty well-known (in the pinball community) for his restoration jobs. Problem is that few people are willing to pay what he charges, even though they come out looking and playing like new out of the box. Currently in our "arcade" (our formal living and dining room), we have 13 games (some for sale), and he's got 6 more in the garage waiting for restoration.

Yep that's them. They have the best butterscotch IMO. They're a bit weak on some flavors and need higher % but butter cream isn't one of them. Mixes good with caramels and cakes too.

Buttercream I use as a flavor enhancer. I did 2mls banana cream, 3 mls vanilla cake, and 1 ml buttercream and it's awesome.
It perks up all sorts of things even ry4

I do everything at 20% flavoring

If you call putting a couple of drops of nic into straight vg diy, then yes I am diy. Actually I am looking at it as strict survival mode. I am sitting on all my myriad bottles of juice to keep myself from just giving it all away and getting it over with. I am trying to determine if this need I am feeling to give everything away is from my want to share or to sabotage myself. I can't afford to replace it and I can't vape most of it right now, so I am playing turtle in its shell (or maybe grizzly bear in hibernation?) and just sitting back and trying to let this play itself out. This is something I am not good at and it is frustrating the you know what out of me. I do not do graceful well either.

And yes, I am really looking at having to start DIY at some point soon. I am still in reading only mode and since there seem to be only a few flavor profiles I can taste at all, actually doing the diy would be a waste of time and money and only a new source of frustration for me right now. So I ride out the storm, with very little grace or smiles right now. But no cigarettes, so all is good on that front. It is a good thing that this past month was October since for the whole month DH has been pretty much holed up watching horror movies and has not had to listen to me ranting at myself and any unfortunate passerby.

for some reason idk why its like i dont tend to like baccy flavors to much anymore, the 1st few months i needed the menthol flavors but now not really care for them. picked up pina colada / sundae toppings / dutch apple pie. i think you would like the DAP lox if you would like to try it i got 16oz concentrated flavor lol

Thanks but I'm the only person on earth that doesn't like apple pie and only the 2nd person who hates pumpkin pie -Jazz is the only other person I've ever met that hates it too.
I'm moving away from fruits. Other than Swedish fish and gummy frog none of them really appealed to me much after awhile.
I think when I get time I'm going to try to perfect some cakes. I'm going to shoot for a buttery pound cake, vanilla cake with buttercream frosting, and German chocolate cake. My first banana cake came out pretty darn good except the banana is too candy taffy ish.

I will, but I will not provide comment or feedback right now because I do not trust my tastebuds. It would probably not be accurate to comment beyond whether I can taste much of anything. Those flavors would be something I might be able to get a hint of. I seem to be able to taste caramel, a little coffee, sometimes butterscotch, and some bits of vanilla on and off. And the cream mouth feel. The tobaccos are all over the chart and some off the chart. Anything with a hint of spice or acidity gives me a burning sensation, including most fruity stuff. Chocolate tastes like wax, raspberry and most fruits taste like chemicals, even ones I liked and could taste before.

Your Swedish Fish I can taste the sweet and it does not burn; your Loxy Gold I taste sweet, period. I assume that my body is absorbing the nicotine since I am not climbing the walls and pg/vg ratios do not seem to bother me, although the straight vg does make my lungs heavy after a while. What is different is that some food tastes seem to be affected too. I am tasting more salt than there is and spice where there is none or very little. So I have screwball tastebuds for now.
