Okay, no more emotional songs today. Sitting here blubbering like a baby watching a concert in memory of artists who left us too early. Tears don't look good on me, there's that red nose and the hyperventilating, it's better for me to watch comedy instead.

Hope you're all having a great day! I have to go flip the laundry and make a ginger ale run.

This is my sleeping time. Smack in the middle of my sleeping time even.

Why am I up? Because... I don't know why. My brain wouldn't shut up long enough to let me settle down so I'm sitting here watching some documentary on extremely cheap people.

Bleh.

Busy, busy. Hi all. You won't see me separating the ply on toilet paper. Some of those people are nuts. I can see saving some money but, geez, you have to live too. I also watched a couple of episodes of the extreme couponing. That is crazy too. Most of that stuff was junk food and stuff I would not eat anyways. How many tubes of toothpaste and deodorant sticks does one family need. I shop sales and keep about 3 months supply of most things. Beyond that I would have to convert the garage to a mini supermarket.

Doctor's visit this afternoon and I called and my teeth are in. So new toothies tomorrow. Get to take them home for the test run over the weekend. We will see if I can figure out how to eat with teeth. This should be fun.

Yeah, it is real exciting. I even have a couple of old tshirts set aside, kind of like giant bibs, for when I start trying to figure out how to chew and eat again. It should be fun and pretty funny. I told DH that he is not allowed to laugh at me. I don't think he will make it through a meal without doing it though. I may eat by myself for the first couple of times. Exciting stuff for me though.

Well Good Luck Shari! I'm so excited for you! Enjoy eating this weekend, are you going to take it easy or do you have any special meals planned, anything you've been dying to eat?

Good afternoon all! Just woke up from a nap, dreamed I was walking into the zoo smoking a cigarette, which I looked at curiously when it didn't taste like my vape! Then I snuffed it out and stuck it in my pocket! Ewwww. Then I wanted a drink, but you could not buy a drink, only a refill. So had to go to the store to buy cups! WTH my brain is so weird. . . hope it was worth the insomnia I am about to receive tonight.

Keep thinking about dinner, but can't put together a gourmet BRAT diet meal, so I think I'll just fix toast  and have some ibuprofen, my head is killing me. See you later!

Now you know we are all ears on what the doc says today, and I'm so glad you're finally getting your choppers. Wasn't crab on the menu?

Well I was at the hospital this morning with Jason when the Doctor came in and told him that it looks like cancer. He held it together while he was there, but then he cried a little. They are going to run a couple more tests and then discharge him. He will have to go to Harbor UCLA for treatment. His parents don't know yet, he will tell them when they are there this afternoon. His mom is going to take it so hard. I feel worse for her than I do for him. She has been a wreck this whole time.

Yesterday I got a call from the police. My younger son (16) let some kids talk him into trying to steal a bottle of booze Friday night, and he was arrested yesterday at school for burglary. I had to go pick him up and we have a court date in January. We didn't tell dad yet.

My aging mother (81) keeps getting into little fender benders and I'll have to take away her keys soon or she may hurt someone or herself. I hate to do it, but I would hate more for something really bad to happen. I'll have to get my older son (17) his permit and give him a couple lessons so he can be her chauffeur.

Thanks for listening to my problems. I'm going to lay down

Shari - I did the upper tooth loss about three years ago. The moment I got my teeth I ate chips and salsa...very little adjustment, no bib needed! You will be SO HAPPY. I have to have my bottoms due but I keep putting them off due to insurance limitations. Man, I love my new choppers (almost four years now) and I am sure you will adjust much faster than you expect.

I don't "like" the news of things you're facing right now, but I have read everything you've written, and my heart goes out to you.

I'm sorry to hear that Jason is facing cancer, but I really hope he doesn't try to hit you up for the medical bills. You have enough on your plate raising your kids and taking care of yourself.

I hope that your younger son has learned his lesson, and pray that the judge will be reasonable in the sentence he will have to face.

Getting your older son his driving permit is a good thing, but will he actually be there to drive your mother around when she needs to be taken somewhere? It might be better for all concerned when you take away your mother's car keys to schedule some time, when you're able, to take her where she needs to go.

Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. (((Vicki)))

Vicki, oh my poor dear. What a horrible time of it for you and yours. I am so sorry. Mom is a fairly easy one. It is hard to take the keys, but she probably knows it is coming and may even be relieved to give them up. The other two are tougher and there is no easy answer. Jason can go live with his parents, they will be able to help him. And just for principle's sake I would want to beat the 16 yr old to within an inch of his life for being stupid. But that would only get you arrested and give you more troubles. Maybe you can ground him until he turns 21, or make him go get a job. We are here for you, come rant when you need.

Try and get some rest. Put the 16 yr old to work with housework or yard work for his every waking moment for now. I will say prayers and send positive energy your way and send you all the strength I can muster up. You will get through this.

By the way, I CAN NOT like your post and refused to even quote it so you do not have to see it repeated. I think this is the first post in this thread I have not liked. This is just so hard.

Thank you so much Rabbit Chaser. I am really looking forward to trying out my new choppers. It has been a long time. I am sure any mess I make will be a joyful one. Thank you for the words of encouragement.

I have decided that after the magical teeth are installed, I am going to Publix and buying some roasted cashews, some pistachios, and all the fixins for the best salad in the world. With cucumbers and tomatoes and (maybe) carrots and a couple of different lettuces and dried cranberries and walnuts and apples and bleu cheese (or maybe gorgonzola) and ............. I will make the dressing from scratch, of course. Maybe some mushrooms and a yellow pepper.

By the way, ShariR....my tooth loss was due to smoking mostly - a hefty price. I love my new teeth - straight and white and beautiful. Kudos to you! The adjustment shouldn't take that long at all!
