I had issues with the previous carrier not attempting to deliver packages because it required walking them to my condo and getting a signature. He would just put a "Sorry We Missed You" card in my box stating I can get the package tomorrow at the post office. Then off he would go. I am at home and watch this happen from my window. After several complaints logged, we got a new carrier. Things were fine for a while, but now it's happening again with the new carrier. Pissing me off! I'm paying for delivery and have to go pick it up?

Sorry, just had to vent...

There's not much that can be done. I'm in NYC, and USPS has been screwing up deliveries for all of my clients as well. Packages get delivered to the wrong floor. Sometimes to the wrong address. Other times they don't get delivered, but tracking says it has been. This last one is the worst of them all. My clients sometimes think we've taken their packages. It arrives a day or so later for some reason. Many, many complaints have been filed, by myself, by my building, and by my clients. Nothing ever changes.

The other day I came home from work to find a box from a reputable vape related dealer and thought, wow, I must have done something good, because I didn't order anything.

Upon further inspection I realized the postman had missed the delivery address by about 3 streets. Right number though I'll give him that. I like the guy though to be honest. He must think I'm crazy with the amount of deliveries I get Lol. I took the package to the house it was supposed to go to.. Thought about setting it down, ringing the doorbell and taking off, so they would feel like it was just another delivery.. But I let the lady that answered know it went to the wrong address, even had a quick convo about the order, and vaping.

When I order from fasttech, I always miss the delivery and they leave a card saying we missed you we will try to deliver tommorrow type thing. Doesn't bother me much, I just call the post office the next morning and tell them I will be there to pick up my package and to take it off the delivery truck. Sometimes it works, sometimes the package/deliverer has already left with my package. At that point I just make sure I don't have my music blazing and get it from the deliverer.

I am unfamiliar with the postal service in Canada, but here (in the U.S.) the postal service is operating at such a loss it is literally hemorrhaging money. Almost 14 million dollars per DAY in 2013! You'd think with that kind of overspending they could get stuff done really well! Nope. Big government = bad business. I wish vendors would ship via UPS, FedEx, carrier pigeon or anything other than USPS.

I feel your pain, but it hasn't been vape mail related - yet.

The GF a I live in a 50+ building apartment complex and it's like pulling teeth getting important mail delivered. It's just routine now that apparently I go pick up W-2's by hand after they're marked "undeliverable". Anyway...

After the 4th time getting screwed over, we actually managed to talk to the local postmaster general, who was quite sympathetic and seemed pretty angry himself about the whole thing. Even more so the second time we talked to him about it, because it kept happening!

But yeah. There's a reason they're practically bankrupt. You might try asking to speak with higher and higher ups though, it kind of worked for us! It seems marginally better, finally.

The USPS in NYC is a treat. We didn't see any mail in my office until 3:30 today. Of course it's the day I'm waiting for 2 new juices to try and I'm supposed to be leaving early.......................................

I've complained to the post office several times about this. In my case, I'm home, working on the pc in eye sight of the mail box. I see the postal employee deliver the mail, get up to get it and there's a "Sorry we missed you" note... no knock, nothing. Well, one day I'm waiting on a FT delivery when this happens. I get in my truck and meet the guy at the end of my block. As he's walking to the mail truck I show him the note, he looks in his bag.... empty! Turns out it's still in the truck, so I ask him, "how did you miss me, and try to deliver this, if it's not even on you?" He mutters something and walks away. I file a complaint, and the post office manager tells me they fill out the cards before they leave to deliver the mail. Proceeds to tell me, "he dropped the card but, was planning on coming back." You know... like he did the dozen+ times before I caught him! LOL Haven't ordered anything else since this happened, but my plan for the next time.... WiFi web cam with upload to show these lazy government workers off on Youtube. In my opinion, if these workers are to lazy to knock and their bosses are covering for them.... show video in hopes someone who wants to work can be given their job.

I know how horrible it is when vapemail is misdelivered, late, or just doesn't show up; I've experienced some of that joy for myself. But how about, not getting your property tax assessment? We got our notice of our property taxes for 2014 yesterday, and the value of our home has mysteriously increased by almost 32% -- which we would have known about BACK IN APRIL if we'd gotten our assessment notice, and we'd have had plenty of time to file an appeal, since we haven't done a single thing to our property to cause this increase in valuation. But, because we didn't even get the notice in April, there can be no appeal; we're stuck with property taxes for the year that are more than $300 higher than last year's, which will cause a $300+ shortfall in our escrow acct that pays our taxes and insurance.

I was very relieved by a subsequent conversation with Wells Fargo that the taxes will be paid on-time, and we won't have to cough up that $300+ in one chunk, because of the 3-month reserve they require us to keep in escrow at all times; it simply means that on our next escrow analysis, our monthly payments will go up a little; if we go ahead and make some extra payments to our escrow, then it won't go up as much.

But this is DIRECTLY the fault of the USPS. The assessor's office has no record of the notice being returned; we simply did not get it. Most likely because our mailbox requires firm pressure to close fully; 3 of our 4 regular mail carriers REFUSE to close it properly, and since we live quite near a railroad track, down at the end of the street, the vibrations mean that when the box is not fully shut, it will fall completely open the next time a train goes by. So most likely, the tax assessment simply blew right out of our mailbox -- because 3 of our 4 carriers are so[Moderated] lazy and/or incompetent, they can't be bothered to shut the mailbox properly.

They've already done that for half the town I live in-- I don't get home delivery, but have a (tiny) free PO box.

You just need to live in a really tiny town. When we moved here and found out that we didn't have street delivery we explained that we get magazines and frequent packages, and our free PO Box is huge. Of course the town is so small that they are only open for a few hours in the morning, but sometimes when we don't make it over for a couple of days the mail magically shows up on our porch.

Yes, I sold something on ebay to a buyer in NYC. According to the tracking, it was delivered to her. She tells me it wasn't, and that this has happened to her several times recently. I opened up an investigation but have never heard back from USPS.
