Yet another question!

What would I do without you guys answering question after question for me!!!

So I placed my order for my cartomizers, e-liquid, a drip tip and some blank carts (thank god I do the checkbook so hubby isn't tracking where all my $$ is going LOL)

Here is my question though...... right now, until I get my supplies, I am using the prefilled carts that came with my Ego 510. I do have a bottle of tobacco e-liquid that I have been using to "top off" my carts (just so the juice sinks in and doesn't pool at the top), but how long do these prefilled ones last? I have been adding liquid, but I don't seem to be getting much vapor. Any suggestions?

I am pretty new to e-cigs (one week!) but from what I have read you might want to remove the polyfiber filling from the carts and rinse them well and allow them to dry. Then reuse them. I am also looking into replacing the cart material with Fluval (from the pet store for fish aquariums) I read about that on this forum. I have a ton of blank carts but have pretty much moved to cartomizers and actually have some clearomizers (rev. 5) ordered and I am looking forward to trying them out. Good luck!

IMHO carts are just added junk. They don't hold all that much and the filler quickly wears out leaving muted weak flavors and low vapor production. Until you get your cartomizers I suggest just direct dripping into your Atty for better flavor and vapor.

PS MY best advice......Keep hiding your bank statements! It's always better asking forgiveness than permission plus when you do get caught you can say "but it's saving my life and I quit smoking" It just goes smoother this way.

How long does the cartridge (the kind you push into an atomizer) last? Forever until it gets loosed or melted or cracked. You can wash cart and stuffing and dry both and refluff the stuffing and put it back in. If you have a (tube size A?) 510 diameter atomizer (9.2mm) you can buy precut blue foam stuffing for the cartridges from stricylyejuice.com (this particular type of blue aquarium foam is the favorite re-stuffing material.)

Cartomizers - I can get 10+ days use out of the Boge 510 carto using thin clear juices. You need to keep them damp. I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece so it's easy for me to pull that out to check/add juice. Some other cartos I only get 7 days out of.

You may have flooded the atomizer. If this is the case simply blow the excess juice out from the battery end of the atty.

Direct dipping freaks me out a bit. I guess I am paranoid that I am going to burn up the atomizer by vaping and not realizing it's dry! LOL

You'll probably notice the bad taste before it goes completely dry.

Use a syringe to fill your polyfill cart. Stick the needle all the way to the bottom and slowly fill it until it puddles to the top, then draw the excess back into the syringe.

Cartos, properly filled, can last several hours. Try this method to fill them fully.
