You told your GF that?? I couldn't get away with telling my teenage daughter that. ;)

I have to find a different kinda GF.
Hell yeah I did, usually takes about that long for her to destroy a mod, after that she's coming for mine. I just got done fixing the little lost vape dna 60 thing she has bc it somehow flew out of her hand on a street corner.

All I can say is if you managed to destroy the lost vape skar and a radius (I'm impressed btw), I don't have high hopes for the G, the skar has been the only mod my gf hasn't managed to destroy. The G is not anything super durable, it's very well made, but out of the same materials as all the other mods. The mod and board under normal use should last a long time but don't expect it to handle a bunch of drops well.

I wanted to strip mine down so that I wouldn't have to have to deal w/ flaking but after rubbing a little paint off I'm now aware this isn't stainless steel, it's some kind of light colored alloy, probably zinc bc it's too heavy to be aluminum. Be aware of how soft zinc is though, compared to steel its like butter.

Just do what I do for my gf, tell her/yourself, that you're only allowed to destroy one mod every few months or you'll stick with an ego till the 90 days is up, that way you'll be more careful.

I think the toughest mod I ever owned (apart from mechs) was this dna 200 I put in custom enclosure, like this one. Thing was tough as hell, bc all it was, was just a solid chunk of CNC'ed aluminum.

Another good one would be the boxer, though the screen is a bigger target for pokage.

No, I didn't destroy my Radius, far from it. Very solid device, loved it. Just a bit dated for my vaping style. The Skar.........Vapes great, but the paint flaking off in the first day. Button feels like it's starting to go out. Feels like maybe the plastic that holds the button is going out.

When you push down on the button does the board move? If so the mounting screws need to be tightened up, or something got misaligned, that happened on my therion.

If not that, it can only be the board.

Doesn't seem like it. Just seems like the button is lose, not as 'clicky clicky'. Fires each time, just doesn't seem like a solid ''click'. Maybe one of these days, i'll crack it up open. But again, I've got this great sx mini g class. So it's not the top end of my worries.

Speaking of, anyone know if it's possible to lock just the joystick, and not the whole device. Not sure how many times I've thrown it in my pocket, take it out to vape, and the resistance is different as the joystick as been pushed in. A bit annoying. As much as I like the so called joystick, hate how it pokes out from the device.

Not yet but I'm hoping this will be addressed in a future firmware. I've reported to them specifically that the resistance should not be reset while the unit is locked as a flaw. I've had it change on me as well. I also suggested the joystick should just be locked when the unit is locked (we can still use the fire button to pull up the clock then use the joystick to switch analog/digital).

It didn't make it in the last firmware but at least the request to disable the Logo-LED and Stealth Mode did. So please write them and ask - the more who do the more compelled they'll be! cservice@yihisxmini.com

Putting a silicone sleeve on your mod will make the joystick stick out less.

Check out the g2. It's milled from a solid block of alluminum alloy. It's a tank

Email fired away regarding locking just the joystick/resistance not being able to change when it's locked. Thanks for the email address.

That's cool. I got mine yesterday too. I have to admit it's better than I expected. In the past I haven't been too impressed with generic sleeves but it looks like this one is good quality. :thumb:

I also agree, it is better than I expected, it's twice the thickness (at least) of the ML one and gives the mod a nice chunky/grippy feel. Though now my lovely carbon fiber looks like a fugly Boxer mod!

lol I hadn't thought about that until now but you're right it does make it look like a Boxer mod. My main reason for it is to protect it from falls. My cats have a fondness for batting my mod off tables.

I can't see covering the thing with a weird condom... I'm just gonna let it get scratched and not worry about it.

That was my original plan but I like to have options. I only use 2 mods and I use them during the ongoing assortment of never ending household errands; many of which involve varying levels of grease and grime. So I like keeping that stuff away as much as possible. It may not be for me either, at least all the time. I can always remove my condom and behold my beautiful rod, er mod.

Has this device been a bit of a damp squib, never see it mentioned anywhere other than here, certainly nothing or very little on UK forums..
Not really, it's built really nicely it's just, the tech it's using is kind of dated. It doesn't do anything new or different, than like a 20 dollar joyetech mod from last year. But I still hope they'll change that with firmware updates... Hopefully they're watching and taking notes on the new color dna's that are going to be coming out.

It is definitely a show off mod, walk into a vape shop and stand back, the reaction is huge. It works great though, do I wish it had a FSK chip in it......yeah I do but that doesn't take away from my enjoyment of it.

It is the most money I have spent on a mod but it is the most comfortable to hold compared to my Triade DNA250 and Finder DNA 167. It is also a lot sexier than my Hohmtech G2 and Slice which are my favorite performance mods. I was worried when I ordered it but that went away when I began to use it, great all around mod and worth the money.

Just got mine today, it shipped with latest firmware. However is there a driver issue with 64bit windows?

Using Windows 7 64bit, and when I try to install drivers it just instantly fails install. I've tried everything I can think of and same results. Anyone run into this?

I've not had issues with other Yihi boards/driver install. A Bit stumped on this one.
