I know it's a nylon prototype, but it doesn't look nearly as good. The square around the atomizer isn't even straight! Ugh! Also, the door doesn't go all the way to the top. How different does it have to be before it's patent infringement?

I am very aware of it . This is not the first time the vmod is a knock off I am not worried about it . In the end most people end up with a reo . I can always build wood mods. You no the saying you get what you pay for 
Ha! Looks like they are having a problem making it look like a Reo. The door doesn't appear to slide up, jut from the bottom.

Yeah, I'm figuring the same thing. People will try the knock offs and then get a hankering for the real deal.
Thread title is kind of a let down, was hoping that I was getting cloned: "Here's a suit, get to work you fat ......., I'm taking the day off!"
I just came from the Vmod XL to and I really have to say it's like comparing a Vespa to a Harley. Just holding the Vmod you get the feeling you have to be very careful not to break it. It does not feel like an investment.
Also be aware the Chinese blow-up dolls spring leaks constantly... or so I've been told.

There's no comparison, REO has nothing to worry about. If anything it will get more people to look for the real thing.

Amen. I have a VMod. It was the first mod I bought (I've made a few). It's not bad, but it's far from my Grand, not even the same league. My next one will be another Reo
Edit: ack, I spoke too soon. This inspired me to dig up and load my VMod. I squonked, the bottle split and dumped about 8 ml of juice in my hand. Lovely.

Leaking wouldn't be so bad, but they also burn much faster than the brand name ones too. And melted rubber is very embarassing to explain to the paramedics.
