I also wrestle with "need" vs "want". I once thought buying a Provari was a "want" boy was I wrong! This thing has improved my vaping 100%! I love to save money... I diy my own juice, I make my own tanks but spending the money for a high quality device was something I needed to do. I hate sounding like a fanboy/girl but I guess I am. Buying this mod took all the hassle and frustration out of most of my vaping life. I know exactly what is going on and the peace of mind alone is worth the price. While I see that this purchase fell into the "need" catagory, the extra money for the black or chrome or blue led light fall into the "want" catagory... I'm not interested in spending more for those things.

I see all these gorgeous tanks... hand blown, sandblasted, decorated to reflect the owner's personal style. And while, yea, I'd love to have one, my cheap tanks work great and look good (to me) so I can't make myself spend that kind of money. I don't "need" them. I also see people paying high prices for custom drip tips.. I get my plain black drip tips free when I order cartos.. they work and I'm satisfied. I did splurge on a blueberry big belly drip tip but I figured $3 wouldn't set me back too far. And I like it

All I'm interested in is having vaping gear that works and keeps me away from cigarettes. And while I like my things to look nice and neat (and good).. I'm not in this to win any beauty contests. I do understand the need to customize things, make a statement, show personal style.. I have that need also with other things but I don't feel the need to do this with my vaping gear. I'm not knocking those that do spend their money on these things.. not at all.. if I had extra money I might get a few nicer looking tanks, some neat drip tips, try a bunch of new juices...or maybe not.

I swore that I was finished buying supplies, but I ended up losing one of my eGo T's, and it had the only tank adapter I owned on it, so I had to replace that, and then I saw a review of some juice I had to try. Unfortunately, I did not like the juice.
Anyway, I also had huge medical bills from the first of the year. 3 weeks in the hospital plus a 70 mile ambulance ride add up to some major bucks, so I think I am finished with shelling out money for wants.

I love this thread. Makes me feel a little better knowing it's not just me. It was getting so bad my husband put me on a budget. :glare: He gave me a CC with just a $300 a month limit to use each month for ecig supplies. That is for 2 people who vape though. Once it's gone, that's all I get. So that has actually been working pretty well for setting a limit. I just discovered I love 306 atty's after trying for months with 510's and hating dripping. Boge Cartos were getting expensive being that they would only last 1-2 days max, and having 2-3 at a time for different flavors. Now that I discovered these atty's I need, or is it want, a pretty Empir mods drip shield, drip tips and maybe even a DCA? Just might have to wait til next month though. I also have been looking at the Provari mini and so much more. I think I am truly addicted. :?: Not just to the nicotine but in all the cool ways to vape it. I've only been vaping less than 3 months and have already purchased 4pv's as well as countless juices and I can't stay away from the computer.

I don't see a problem with snapping up items and spending large amounts a month on supplies IF you know why you're doing it(that is, you have a plan) and IF you can do it without going into cc debt.

I recently bought a massive, massive amount of Boge 3.0 cartomizers. Buying them in bulk cost me 0.72 cents per cartomizer. Do I need multiple hundreds of cartomizers this minute? No, but it is an ongoing, long term need that can be amortized out over the many years to come that I will not need to purchase any. It's also my little fail-safe in case the government pulls the rug out from under us.

if you've got a ggts, you sooo dont need a darwin. lucky you.

Meems

I had spent massive amounts of money on a number of pvs and accessories but finally settled on two and sold the rest. My ggts and a Darwin. I was sending my Darwin in for a repair and the usps "lost" it.... I'm tormented on whether I "need"another one....

Earlier, I posted about how I wait a year before purchasing anything I really really want, because a year's worth of time gets all the kinks out of the gadget, lets all the pro's and con's materialize fully, etc.....
Today I am going to brag the opposite way. lol
Yep, I was one of the first peeps in line for the new Zenesis mod with tank and I now have a real beauty with case (vaultz!!) in my life. Pro's and cons??? I have no idea. BUT, it is, so far to date, the easiest rebuildable atty and stainless steel mesh wick ever made. The mod itself is over the clouds superbly crafted out of the finest materials at this price range, and the builder/seller is going overboard helping his customers. I love the no-wires all mechanical mod, the rebuildable attyk, the ss mesh wick for pure straight flavors, and the seller's attitude and service. This is the first time I've ever jumped the gun, and it was well worth it. I'm going to get a mini next, and then a titanium, and then the dragon, and .... oh my, I think I need help this time around, these are too good to wait for anything but money. Zombies, watch out! I'm ready!
(houseofhybrids.com makes these, in case somebody just has to ask lol)

Wish I would have thought of this before I bought the provari. I love it but the extras are what kills it over the Z. Maybe if I ever get my taxes I will have to set some aside for the next pre order.
