I keep laughing about the original post but to be honest, my German Shepherd calls me white trash every day. He’s always in my face because he loves the smell of the coffee vape. It’s like have an 85 pound fruit fly constantly buzzing around your head so I switch to lime flavor and that’s when the barrage of insults begins. At least this bum kept on walking.

No, never for vaping. I have been called white trash for having a 73 pinto as a lawn decoration, for marrying my 14 yr old cousin and for making Ned Beatty "Squeal like a pig" (that was just good wholesome country folk fun) but never for vaping.
I like to think things through from a psychological perspective, and it sounds like he might be jealous and would like to try to use them himself, but is worried the response HE might get from his peers. Probably wanted to see your response because he couldn't come up with one for himself. Or maybe he was hitting on you...

But I do carry a few cheap disposables for cute women who want a smoke or a light. Hey, its worth a shot !

The only place I've read remarks along those lines is on Twitter...if you search for "ecigs," you'll find a handful of Tweets offering up the opinion that they're "trashy." It's just baffling.

Hah, I'm not even sure how I'd reply. I mean really, what can you say? I guess the best you could do is direct them to the closest mental health clinic, but other then that, not much.

It's only ok to say that if you are a white person talking to another white person, and using it as a term of endearment. I.e. "what's up my trash-a?"
