To be honest, $20 is a pretty fair price if the information he provides is good quality.

There are a lot of people that would rather pay $20 than spend the time it would take to research themselves.
And if he steers them in the right direction and helps keep them on track, the information is worth an awful lot more than that.

Think of how much time and money each of you have spent gaining the knowledge you have now.
How much would you have paid to avoid all of that and just hit the ground running?

In the case of someone incapable of doing their own research, I agree that the information would be useful. However, if someone is internet savvy enough to find his ad, they should be able to find this forum. It pops up on the first page of google for almost everything ecig related.

Just saying. I know that times are tough, but I think that's just going a bit far.

But what do I know lol

You can find legal or accounting information and advice all over the internet too, and yet somehow people are still paying attorneys and accountants.

Just sayin.

Depending on the quality of his advice there was a point recently where I would have happily paid him $20 rather than having to weed through the forum in information overload mode.

I guess I just have a different mindset. I told everyone I knew about ecigs and have helped numerous people find a good setup. It never occurred to me to charge for it. Now I got paid to do it when I worked in ecig retail, but I was informing them about products we sold there.

But hey, if there is a market for it, sell it.

I do agree that this forum can be overwhelming, but I have a feeling that most of us would be more than happy to take the time to talk to someone new one on one and help them out.

Maybe we should set up a mentoring program lol so the newbies don't get 50 replies all telling them something different.

I also don't necessarily see a problem with this, given how many people we see on here ripping their internet hair out. And tons of people find this site everyday yet still can't navigate the information effectively as shown by the constant recurring identical thread topics on here.

I would tell this guy to also market the fact that the $20 will allow you to sample various juices through various devices to see if it's something you want to pursue at all. That would be a great value to many people, imo.

it's not that it's a bad idea really.
It's just this, if you are farmiliar with V2 cigs "smole for free" program.
What information are they giving them, is it self serving?
are they selling them what they get a bonus on.
by the way I've given my code to three converts to use at v-cig and I have yet to see that credit.
is it a fledgling supplier.
I may post an ad, go to egf and do some research and ask some questions, then buy a EGO anyway.
because I love ego's. So simple
