Look at how well Jelly Belly is at mimicking flavors. It's been maybe ten years since I saw the episode of "How It's Made" that focused on Jelly Belly and I'm still in awe of how obsessed they are over flavorings and getting it right. I think the juices will only get better. I just hope the better juices survive a market that could easily be over-saturated.

As far as the OP talking about "I smoked cigarettes for 40 years and in all those years I've yet to smoke a cigarette that has a vanilla, caramel, graham cracker, banana, honey etc, etc taste to them..." Nat Sherman's line alone offers cig's with different tobacco blends that give off such flavors (very subtly).

I agree that if someone is DIY for 6 cents a ml and it's exactly what you like then send out 50 3 ml bottles and check the reviews. I mean, it's the real deal right? I diy some myself but got tired of two flavor mixes and didn't have the patience to mix 6 flavors. Where do diy recipies come from? Vapers! My bet would be, unless you have a lot of time and experience that your juice would wind up in someone's underwear drawer. It takes a tremendous amount of time and trial and error.

But I do agree that good reviews for the most part are meaningless.

*fanboy* A pathetic insult often used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like.

I wish that word would go away.

Mas, I wish Jelly Belly would start selling their flavors for use in e-liquid...

To me, buying 'expensive/boutique' juices is like eating out at a nice restaurant. Sure, you can buy groceries and cook at home and save a ton of money compared to ordering your favorite dishes at a nice restaurant. But sometimes you just CAN'T make it as good as the chef at the restaurant, or maybe you just don't want to bother with the chopping, cooking, cleaning, mess and the time. You can make your own juices that you may enjoy, but sometimes you just can't replicate certain flavors that vendors have or maybe you don't want to put in the effort of mixing a bazillion things together and testing it and having it not quite be the flavor you are looking for. In that case, I say screw it and buy the juice I know I like. Props to you if you can make stuff you like and only use that and save money. As a fairly light vaper, it isn't worth the trouble for me to make my own juices when there are more interesting flavors on the market that I have NO idea how to replicate, nor do I have the patience or experience to do so. I can make a pretty good steak at home. But it doesn't mean I won't occasionally splurge on the nice filet mignon cooked by a professional chef at the local steakhouse.

^^thats what I was getting at in my previous post. I realize it was long so im not surprised not many have read it, but, more or less, you've captured my point.

When I started vaping, I started where most do, at Mt Baker Vapor. Never found anything that made me love vaping, and was generally incredibly dissapointed. Then I tried a long list of vendors, all of which have fans on this website. MOSTLY, I struck out. The stand outs would be, Fuzion, Good Life and Alice in Vapeland.. I like a handful of juices from each of those vendors.

then I tried the high end juices. First, The Standard. Instantly blown away, and even today, with two boxes full of all different Brands of high end +$22 a bottles, The Standard is still one of my top brands. Cell Block Four is my favorite juice of all time. Frankenvape and DeadMans were some of the first fruity vapes I really enjoyed. Anyone tried their new flavor? Slow Mo? Im in love. I have tried SO many orange creams, NONe of which get it right. Im an orange cream fanatic, and every juice Ive tried, its too much citrus orange, no cream. Leave it to the standard, but Slow Mo, is a perfect orange cream. Its got the cream from CB4, with a SOFT orange, with no overpowering citrus. It also rivals CB4 for its ability to fog up a room, AND carries the same ability as the rest of their juices to stand up to sub ohm vaping no problem.(Jamesons and Blueprint are made by the same company as the Standard, and IMO, are just as good. Jamesons Amelia is probably the best strawberry vape on the planet, IF what you're looking for is an honest to God summer ripe strawberry.)

    But I digress.

Couple places you can go for the high end juices.. VapeRev and Elevated carry a lot. Ive tried every brand they carry, but not every juice. They dont have everything though.. Suicide Bunny is one that comes to mind missing from both their inventories. But heres what I can state as almost a fact(IMO it IS fact). When you get a juice you dont like, its not because its tastes offensive, or dirty, or rancid, or any other type of rotten flavor combo I have run into so many times.. No, its gonna be because you simply dont like the flavor combo. The Standard G35? Im not crazy about it. Just doesn't work for me. but it DOES, 100%, taste like what they say it should.

For better or worse, I pretty much only vape the high end juices. Along with a couple from Good Life, Fuzion and Alice.(IMO, the juice from Good Life and Alice in particular, has the same level of flavor clarity and unique creativity as the +$22 a bottle juices do. Fuzion not neccesarily, but they just know how to make some damn proper fruit vapes)

Jman, I have a quick question for you. I noticed that Cell Block Four says it has "hints" of citrus flavor. To you is it really just a hint or is it fairly noticeable. The rest of the description sounds wonderful but I am not a fan of fruity/citrus flavors (I say that yet I bought some Gambit last week after testing it and the apple in it is very, very light yet I like it).

But you are saving a buttload of money...

I like to think I have a refined palette, but to keep things in perspective, the worst e-juice I ever tried (cig techs highly reviewed RY4) still tasted better than cigarettes.
