Ummmm...does this mean we can use our Trustfires for our .02 builds now???

Seriously, guys like you land on their feet. I appreciate everything you've done for this forum and you'll be missed. Your absence will certainly leave a gap here. You're a good dude, Baditude....I hope you stay positive and keep your spirits up. That's the most effective way of spotting the next opportunity that comes your way. Hang in there, my friend.

Reflect, heal, get your life back.

I'll be the dissenting voice here. Bad has helped so many people, but at what expense? One doesn't rack up a ridiculously high post count without spending a lot of time posting. Trust me. It's none of my business, but I would like to see Bad channel the energy he's been giving to us, into himself. Maybe a break from the internet wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Dear God... for me, a "break from the internet" would be akin to a "break from oxygen." ;)

Baditude,

I am new here but not new to forums and usually ppl like yourself with so many helpful posts and blog posts end up taking a hiatus from time to time but usually come back, places like this are often like Cheers. I am sure you will be back when the time is right but now is the time to focus on family and yourself. You have helped me though we hardly have ever spoke and you will continue to help ppl even without logging on. Best wishes for you Baditude.

Ive just read 18 pages of posts stating how many lives this man has helped save. Ive only been here a short time, but I too have benefited greatly from bad's posts and blogs.I dont know much about computers, so I can't do what needs to be done but someone who knows about that kind of thing REALLY needs to post a link to somewhere that some of us can communicate with each other without violating any rules. I dont know all the rules here so I'm trying to be careful in what I post as I dont want this thread to be closed, but please someone make this happen. LINK?

wow,
there's about 10 pages on facebook named baditude.
*including the one i just made*
:)
So if you find it post something there.

I am so sorry that you find yourself in such a lousy situation. I also am in that "older" group and lost my job as well. Fortunately for me, I was 62, so could take my social security early because it is impossible to find a job past a certain age. MAYBE you could try to re-invent yourself--consulting or blogging or trying something you always wanted to do and make that bring in $$. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You have been a huge help to so many people that good karma just has to follow. Hang in there.

Hang in there Bad.

Things have a Way of Working Out if you Believe they Can. And then go into Action to change them.

With the 100,000 or so Good Karma Points you have Racked Up making the ECF a Better Place, and the Countless Individuals you have Helped, I know it will Work Out for you.

Bad youre pretty silly to think no one will comment here buddy.

Yours posts helped me progress to my provari much quicker and allowed me to save many headaches and possibly return to smoking. Im just one guy, and in your 18,000+ posts you can rest assured that your words of encouragement have reached well over 10,000 ex smokers.

I would count you as a major factor in saving many hundreeds of lives. Feel proud for that even if it never resulted in monetary gain.

These situations always have a way of opening new doors that lead to previously undiscovered vistas. I have no doubt tht you will bounce back stronger and better than before, and return to your home away from home here at ECF.

Good luck in all that you do, and know that none of what you will ever do will be in vain,

We love you

C

What about a "go fund me" thing? I have seen this work for others. Maybe it can help and you could start a youtube channel? I have not read thru the 20 pages but maybe it has been brought up already? Either way, your blogs and answers have helped me go from a novice to where I am now. Thanks a bunch Bad!

I'm sorry for your misfortune, Bad. I sincerely hope you get back on your feet soon. Your posts and your bolgs led to me carto tanks and I use those almost exclusively now.

I made a post a few months ago in which I thanked the members of this forum who invented carto tanks (perhaps you were one of them) because they have made vaping even more enjoyable than it already was. I'll take this opportunity to thank the person who led me to them as well.

Thank you so much, Bad. God Speed in your endeavors. You will be missed.

Bad I have not been on these forums for very long but just in the short time I have been here you helped me out so much. The knowledge you have shared with me and so many others is very much appreciated it.

I remember the first time you were helping me out was when I was deciding to get a Provari and your argument was just so good and so descriptive. I have really enjoyed everything.

One more time a BIG thanks too you. I hope everything in the future works out great for you.

Bad, it's clear that life has given you a kicking and I can't offer you anything but good wishes. The last time I applied for a job I was 59, a fact I omitted from my CV, or résumé as I believe you say. When the company phoned me to arrange an interview I told the guy I was in my fifties and if that was a problem for them they shouldn't waste my time. Well, I got the job and it lasted until I was 63, since when I've been retired. A man like you, clever and resourceful, will get something, but you must have that confidence to kick .... and chew bubblegum, to challenge people to turn you down. Remember, employers mostly know that oldsters are more reliable than youngsters, with old-fashioned honesty and work ethics. We'll see you back here, and probably soon.

Nothing to add but another person in your debt Baditude. Your blog posts now circulate in paper form around all the new vapers in my office when they look to graduate from Ego's. I love your posts and I hope the effort you put in to saving us all can go to finding a new lease on life. Enjoy the space where the hunt for work and the tiring rejections aren't your "par for the course" day. There's little I can do from this side of the pond, and I know you're no tlooking for handouts but if you ever need a favour just know there's hundreds if not thousands of people here who'd go out of their way to give you a helping hand and repay a little of what you've given us.
