Youde Balrog 70 Watt Kit

I had won one of the UD Balrog kits in a giveaway a few months ago. I guess those were the preproduction models that we got. The one I have does not have an option for SS316 in the TC mode. Does anyone know if the firmware is upgradable on this mod?

I searched around a lot but wasn't able to find any info on whether this is firmware upgradable. I don't use anything except SS wire and would love to have that option with this mod. It is a really compact and comfortable mod that I use everyday.

pretty sure it's not upgradeable... I do know the. deer ones have SS as an option aswell as TCR, plus two decimal points on the screen for ohms and voltage. now to find one in black that has the updates!

Thanks for the response Nelson.. I haven't found any info on whether is can be upgradable. But I'm assuming it should be as they released the same hardware and pretty much the same software with the addition of SS in TC.

Unfortunately mine has only Ni & Ti options under TC and I don't use either materials for my coils. I use only SS wire for my builds and I'm limited to running my builds in wattage mode only.

I have one from when they came out (not one of the prize ones from angel vapes or whatever). Mine has SS support on it they always have had it it seems except the ones that were originally won in contest before it was released for sale.

Still love mine my main mod that I use every day all day long. Small, built very well pair it with a Brown Turd LG and gets me through half a day or so for vaping. I like mine enough that I might jump on one of the new colors coming out. Rotate my two Super mini tanks with it.

Tank sucks good to keep around with the two coils just incase you need something and are in a bind.

the fire/power button?. Tried the old permanent marker
cover-up trick , but it only takes hold for a day.

Where do you find the new colors ? I checked the Balrog web site and only see the black. I would love the white and black combo......... Guess I could just buy a white one and switch out doors since I have the black balrog.

The finish is coming off mine too. It's working perfectly still, just starting to look a little beat up.

I broke down and ordered from Ft. They shipped it in 2 days even though it said 7. Should be here in about 14 days. Thanks but I used vape crawler to search. The Balrog is not carried by many in the USA for some reason......

I noticed that too. I really don't understand why, it's a nice little mod and UD is a well known brand. You figure their first mod would have had a better reception.

Wow I received the white balrog in only 12 days fron FT. I morphed it and switched doors . Now have a black and white combo.

Does the one you received from FT have support for SS, or is it the older version with just Ti and Ni support? Thanks!

I'm sure it's the latest software. I don't use SS coils. Being the tootle puffer and still using PT2's with kanthanal built at .86 ohms so sub ohming with old tech. What was a shock to me was FT sent the package to Beijing then showed up in Miami ....
