I think the stuck base/jc ring is due to operator error.

The instruction card doesn't give very clear details how to assemble the rta.

When I assemble mine like most youtube reviewers do, it gets stuck like many people have mentioned. But if I put the chimney on the deck first, then put the retaining ring on (the piece with the goliath engraving) then unscrew the chimney out till it stops, and continue assembly.....it works great with no sticking.

Not sure exactly why so many are having issues. Its still not clear if its the RTA\premade coil section unscrewing or the Topcap and chimney connection. I have not had the RTA section unscrew from the base piece. Not once, not even slightly unscrewing. Tighten that thing down and its no worries. I use hybrid 510 mods so I want zero movement with the positive pin. So I clamped that booger down tight.

Only way I could see the top cap part unscrewing is if your twisting from the top cap. I hold the airflow section and the ring with the Goliath engraving and it will not effect the top cap and chimney connection.

Just like with some of the ol clearomizers, you don't unscrew holding it at the top or you will make a mess.

This this is Nice. Not the best looking tank, but not the worst. All flush brushed SS. This is just tall. Performs amazingly. Flavor is very muted. But I got this for my unflavored. When I want tasty I will stick with my flavor monster drippers

I absolutely love this Goliath V2....

AMAZING performance.

It works perfectly with my temp control builds (titanium coils, eVic VT). The 2 post rba design is perfect for TC. The equal length coil legs on the deck make for very consistent and reliable temp control.

It blows away my Subtank mini, Goblins, Cthulus, and goblin/kayfun hybrid. It's the only device I currently use.

I DIY my own juices, and the flavor on the Goliath V2 is every bit as good as any of my other tanks..... So much so, that I have actually reduced my flavoring percentage to 5% max, because It just doesn't need any more flavor than that.

The vape production is huge! and I also had to reduce my nic % as well.

The deck can be a little hard to remove, but I don't remove it very often (around once per week for cleaning/re-wick).

Overall, this tank is nearly perfect in my book and I don't see why it's not getting more love.

Filling is kind of a pain, not knowing the correct way. I can fill through the juice flow pretty good but takes some time, or if I take the top cap of it ends up coming out of the airflow holes all over my device. But needless to say this thing is a beast. Only RTA I have used that I get no dry hits when using 80vg. Bravo to YOUDE

Got it coiled and wicked up....dual 26 ga...2mm...8 wraps @ .48ohms. It's performing nicely. I can see how the juice flow with the o-ring can be a bit janky, not as user friendly as the v1. But, I always have it wide open so it's not a huge problem. I seem to be able to run it at a higher wattage than the v1...of course I could have just nailed a semi-perfect build, so we'll see.

I dont understand the negativity with the Goliath V2...i think it's a fabulous Atty, if you are rebuilding. The coils that came with it, I did actually try and although I loved them the first 8 hours I found that they started to taste steel like within 24 hours. I would say the coils are only good for one full day if like me, you vape a desert type vape.
I vape on mine a Kapt Krunch so its very sweet and I usually have to burn off the gunk on my coils one week in on any atty but this one....those coils didn't last a day. Rebuilding of course is a different deal. It does suck up juice but again, perhaps its how one vapes?
I only vape at 30 watts and I am not into clouds but taste so I keep the air flow almost closed. Just enough to avoid dry hits. And the taste is out of this world. I have several different attys that i use daily and they are all different from one another but this one I do LOVE.

Leaking is usually due to the wicking. Here is how i do mine BUT i use 50/50 so it might be best to ask someone that uses whatever percentage of juice you do.

I own 3 x v1 and 1 X V 2 and this is how I do it and i don't have any leaks

I wick like usual, cut my cottons so that its on an angle. The Longer part of the angle to the back, where the deck and screws are. What I do is i DON'T leave trails in the channels as many say, although it works for them but for me it always leaked. I then fold it under, onto the deck itself, but if cut properly, the back of it, where the longer angle is, will just tuck under...you don't want it so long that it then covers your air hole. I just want mine JUST enough to tuck under...IF they then do get in the way of the air hole at all, remembering that it is cut on an angle so the longer part is at the back....I push it back against the deck so the hole is not covered. at the same time, naturally I am tucking it under on the front as well. i always keep mine short enough so it either JUST tucks under, or it almost does, but not quite. That way when I put the juice on, it keeps it in place. Reason for my doing it this way is that too much wicking will leak and too much is not good either. But when I have it folded under, the fold itself sits right on top of the channels, not in them, but on top so the juice just rolls right off of it there and down the channel. It does that so well on its own, I dont need to drown it by running wick into the channel as some claim works for them......it never has for me. Again, we are all different and what works for one, as you know, doesn't work for the next but for me, leaving them OUT OF the channels has always been critical. By cutting them on an angle, I can afford to tuck the longer piece at the back under and against that "wall" so it doesn't sit over the air hole so it can afford a bit more length..and it helps to then stabilize the shorter wick, that when dry, without juice, might not quite stay put under...it sometimes pops out, its that short, but by putting the juice on, then I lightly guide it back under and just push it so it sticks there and the juice rolls right off of it into the juice channel.
When I first did it this way, it didn't look as if there would be enough wick at all but it turns out my size is just perfect. Some seem to cut theirs much longer or fuller, etc so they have to cut it from the top down on an angle, in order to fit the chimney over it-----mine drowned when i did that :)

So snip on angle, tuck under at back, push against back of wall so its not over the juice hole and then soak with juice and make sure that the front than tucks under...doesn't look like much but you have enough there it will just roll down into your channels.

I have, going, at all times ( i have a lot ).......2 x Goliath V1 clone, 1 X Goliath V1 authentic, 1 x Goliath V2 Authentic......1 x Goblin Mini Authentic, and all of those i do wick exactly the same way and none leak.
I have 3 x Kanger SubTank Minis Authentics, 3 x Lemo 2 Authentic, 2 x Delta ll Authentic but those ones wick differently and i have 1 Ulwell Crown but thats the only one, so far, I dont rebuild on and am using TC coils for my iDP 3Li.

I keep ALL those tanks going all the time which can be a bit much but NONE of them leak and not one of them do I leave threads in the channel.
Hope that helps OR someone with your same percentage of juice can help. Maybe mine works for me this way because it's 50/50? Who knows!

The #1 reason any of my tanks ever leak, is always down to my forgetting to close the air hole at the bottom while filling it up :)
