To me, these threads are always fascinating because of the messages vapers will readily expressed, which does scream hypocrisy to me.
I asked earlier what is the harm in vaping 0 mg and would very much appreciate a response to that. I see it as harmful (or rather as harmless) as being outside on a foggy day. Perhaps someone in the vaping community wishes to educate me and let me know the harm that is present with vaping 0 mg juice. Better yet, link to whatever research you find to back that claim up. I'd like to see it, consider its source and perhaps update my thoughts on this.
In the meantime, there are quotes from this thread that I find interesting and that I take issue with. While I could use quote feature to include who said what, I don't think it is the point. I think it is more realistic to understand that these items are not isolated to one individual. And I mean individuals in the vaping community. If these were said by ANTZ spokesperson for the day, we'd be all over the comments refuting it. But here on this thread, they slip right on by. Well, until this post.
Earlier quote: "I kind of feel like vaping could act as a "gateway" to other things."
Another: (Vaping) "can be considered a 'vice' "
Another: "i don't trust anything labeled 0 nicotine unless i mix it my self"
Another: "Because something may be legal, it doesn't mean that it's right."
I'll just add that what it was like being a kid isn't so foreign to me, especially as most adults I've met act like kids, throwing mini temper tantrums if what they want to do doesn't go their way. Part of ANTZ position, as I understand it, is that the majority of nic addicts start when they are young. I find that a majority of vapers / ex-smokers started smoking under 18. Yet, the politics/biased science concludes that if a child (under 18) smokes, they will surely die, a premature death.
But the anecdotal evidence on vaping forums counters that as many (of us) are alive into our 40's (and well beyond) after starting to smoke at say age 15. And I've learned to trust anecdotal evidence when it comes to vaping rights. Now, with a kid smoking a log at age 15, even I will think that person is plausibly doing some serious harm to their system if they actually pick it up as a habit, become addicted, and keep it up for years and years. But I have a very tough time getting on board with the same child at 15 taking up vaping and doing serious harm to their system if they pick it up as a habit, become addicted and keep it up for years. And right about now, I find it incredibly hard to believe that a child vaping 0 mg as a habit/addiction is doing serious harm to themselves. But I am up for hearing the evidence that would take my incredulous position and (ahem) set me straight.
