I sold off all my GG's a long time ago...... for all the 'same' parts, no 2 were the same.. the threads weren't cut the same, some had slop, some did not...I could not interchange parts as some didn't fit....I had enough to make 3 stealths or 3 GGTS's and still had extra's... and I could get the 'one' zag (had same problem w/ prototype zag) to fit on one, the 2nd it would go on part of the way, the 3rd it would go on extremely tight... c'est la vie, the fascination and love of them died quite quickly for me after that...

aggree with this, I have had to rework most of the threads on my gg to even get them to even fit together, and buy a couple replacement parts including 3 telescopes, 2 top tubes, and an extra rethreader ring, to find ones that would thread onto the zag (even reworking the threads would not help) for others that just wouldnt fit... also have had to mod the crap out of the switch and axis to get it to fire consistently, NOW I love it, but if i had to vape it the way it was before all that, I would of gotten rid of it long ago. esp. the threading, I have never seen such sloppy, chattering or inconsistent threading

The new GG's are rather nice..

my GG has been replaced with all brand new parts and I still have had the same problems as brian... FWIW, I have found that dave's ghost modder gg stuff is of much better quality than imeo's

Yeah, you pretty much have to stay withing whatever run your GG came out of for the interchangeable factor without any differences whatsoever. I myself use only Revision 1s (because they are so damned beautiful) and the first run of the SS ones, they seem to be my favorite but to each his own, right? :)

What a day I have had with my Sidewinder - bleh. It was working fine but I was getting burnt hits every so often so I decided to recoil my wick . That was going fine until the coil popped at the negative post right when I was finishing it up - started over with a new coil which went fine until I started using it and I was getting nothing but burnt hits again even though liquid was wicking perfectly well . I decided to make a new wick and coil and everything was going fine until the very end - the wick slid down through the coil while I was firing it and, in mid fall, fused with the insulator . I was not in the mood to insert a new insulator so I decided to go without it and make a thicker wick this time around. After the wick was prepared and inserted I made a 3 wrap coil as opposed to my usual 4 wrap to compensate. It is working perfectly well now but it makes me recall when I made a thick with w/o the insulator on my ZAP a couple months ago - unlike when I use skinny wicks, I can taste the mesh almost as much as I can taste the liquid (kind of a grainy taste). Hopefully that will subside as it breaks in because I am in no mood to start over again.

And now, for a bit of stress relief (any other Neurosis fans out there?):
