I don't know if I ticked Zen off at bash but I wasn't gung-ho on cartos, i didn't like them 3 years ago, either.......well, to each his own, I don't want to buy consumables unless I have to, there is other stuff to buy besides that and I'm a cheap hippie.......

My biggest question would be how is the carto tank on a mechanical mod? Does that make sense? I just remember when I use to use carto tanks, I had to use my mini provari to get a decent hit/enough voltage....

Diver atty or Killer atty. Both rebuildable so you can make a coil comparable to what you make now.

I've run mesh all the way through in mine, Andy has been running with mesh just long enough to go through the atty base, and none on the tank end if I'm not mistaken. Set up all of mine that same way, VERY thin and tightly rolled mesh fits in and gives just enough rigidity to wrap evenly.

It may be a new diy I've been trying, it is a little gunky. Do you run the mesh inside?

You'd have to try pretty hard to get a hot spot, likely would need a very visible gap between the wire and wick to get a hotspot. No risk of shorts and it wicks so darned well.

What gauge and how many coils are you running? Pic?
Allright, maybe a hot spot? Although, there are no glowing coils.
