Another drive by update. The carto does vape great. Nice taste and it also looks nice. Maybe not quite as much steam as my Zen gennys but this may well be the one I take to work each day. Very easy to set up, nice feel in the hand, fires great each time I hit the button and I can now lay this PV down on it's side. I'm sure Mike has a winner on his hands. Ok, back to work..

Macdo popped by my work today, and the generous S.O.B he is, he gave me a Killer 705 :) Thanks macdo! I can't promise how soon I'll try it in in the Z2 Carto and report back, but I'll try and do it by the weekend.... if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

It's my pleasure:toast:.I really hope it works out. It looks awesome too. Keep us posted.

i feel so dumb...still cant get this working

Aaron, you are definetly not dumb!! Did you try the condom fill method on a carto, before putting it in the tank? Another question is what is your juice pg/vg ratio? When I use to use carto tanks, I always punched 2 holes in mine & that always worked best for me. All my juices are 50/50.

(Sorry for the double post)

so filled up my first cartotank.
not to bad but it is similar to a lavatank in terms of how to fill... the top cap and glass is pretty snug... i accidentally pulled off top cap a little and reseated causing me to flood the carto.

to unflood i had to pull the device out and blow it from the bottom from the 4 air holes.. it does have a bit of an airy draw

@thejager.. look on youtube to see how ppl are filling and priming cartos for lavatanks.. it will help you out

Aaron, take one of the little condom caps that should have come on a carto, fill it about 3/4's of the way with juice. Then put the carto slowly into the condom, threaded end first....you will see the juice fill up thru the top of the carto. Let it sit a few & repeat until it stays soaked. Dry it off, give it a quick blow to remove any access juice from the center & it should be good. Hope that makes sense!! :)

Aaron, definitely try punching another hole if you can. Don't give up.

If you have a vv/vw device you could try priming the carto so it's really flooded, let it sit for a bit to saturate. Don't put it into the Zen2 carto yet. Put a drip tip on and make sure it is gurgling bad. Blow a little juice out and slap the carto (tankless) on the apv. If it gurgles a bit that's fine. Pump up the volts/watts and vape it with strong draws until it clears. Might be a bit messy, and have some water handy to rinse out the juice lol. But if it starts to vape well slap it into the Zen2 carto, fill it up, and take a few un powered priming draws to make sure it's ready.

I'm really rooting for you. Once you get it....:vapor:

soooo i am rocking 65/35 mix and havent had any dry hits.

Also wanted to throw this in here to see if my measuring is correct...

so there is a bit of battery rattle even on the 18650 aw imr button top

loaded up the cartotank... includes 1 carto which i believe is boge. measured resistance at the connector to be 2.0 ohms with the carto loaded.

there are 4 air holes along the side of the cartotank so there is no chance of leakage to battery...

the draw is cool and airy but flavor is good. vapor seems to be lacking a bit. battery voltage currently is 4.1 volts... so the wattage is 8.4 so it could be the way the design of the cartotank is...

the button itself has a resistance of .4 ohms

so if you add the resistance of the carto + button which is 2.4 total the total power output is 7.0 which is how it does feel...

Note this is me using a sperry dm-6400 multimeter and i am curious what you guys are seeing.

if i am not doing my calculations correctly please let me know.

Also since this is my first mechanical, what is an acceptable ammount of resistance from a switch/button. Thanks

Well, I got my stuff in a few minutes ago. I set up the Cinis with ekowool (thin SS core, just enough to go through the deck). Awesome. Next, I set up a new RichMan genny and put it on the DX490 (my AC9 is on my paps at the moment, I'll probably replace the RichMan on this device with another AC9 or a Kayfun and put the RichMan on something that matches the finish better). Awesome. Last, I juiced up the 650CT. Yowza! I quit using cartos about a year ago because I just didn't like them. I got much better flavor from RBAs and didn't find any tanks I liked. I was a little skeptical when Zen started talking about doing a carto tank, but I figured if anyone can make them great, he can. So I rolled the dice and figured I'd try one out. I am LOVING this thing! I don't know what kind of magic he worked, but man, oh man... Flavor is fantastic, look and feel are perfect, easy setup. If this isn't a fluke and it stays this good, I see myself picking up a few more of them and giving away my twists and evods/protanks. (I travel a lot and gennies aren't very travel friendly).

I did also order a kick to try on the CT. It doesn't necessarily need it with a 2 ohm boge, but it is very nice to have. I get a small gap though at the switch or burner end, evidently my kick is a little tall. I split the gap between the top and bottom and now you'd have to be looking for it to really notice it.

I'm a very happy camper. My first three Zen devices certainly didn't disappoint - worth every penny.
