Good evening Zenfidel siblings

I have to agree the ceramic wicks did not live up to my expectations but the Nextel sure as hell did. Unless you has a cat who's litter box is in need of KL suggest you might want to cut the said ceramic "wick" in two and use it inside the Nextel wick as a stiffener to give the Nextel some body for when you wrap

So with the treated Nextel, all I need to do is (optionally) stick in a SS wick inside so that it's more solid for wrapping, feed the Nextell into the tank, and just wrap a snug (but not tight) coil and go? No torching or anything, right?

HR I'm sitting here tonight with my Z2 Carto thinking it's time to change the carto...I've been running it pretty hard since I got it so maybe that's your issue?

Good possibility, Third tank in less than a week plus i have a kick under it. i am doing the "flood cleanup and clearing" the best i can in hopes i can save it. (not that i dont have more cartos to punch, just being kinda lazy...)

I really like the carto that came with the Zen...but I have boxes of the standards to use up and have vowed to do that until they run out.

I have my killer going in another carto tank and am really loving it. I seriously think I might try to get a second one. My master plan is to obtain another carto tank in the Gun Metal...so once I use up my carto stash I'd have a Killer for both:D

The nextel needs a hotter coil to hit like mesh does.
Thx, that's what I thought, but do u think 3 wraps is too low of a coil?
Ok, out of nowhere, my carto tank has decided to flood.....:(:grr::cry::cry::cry::cry:

And yes it is the stock carto...

Ok first and most directly to your point, ...i have noticed that if i hold the punched hole in the "air bubble" in the tank, it helps sort out flooding faster...

Secondly, i have noticed that with my z2 (switched to magnet in switch) my device fires when standing the 500 & 650 modes, i forget this and set it down once, without my customary unscrew of the button, and the carto tank leaked bad out of the air holes...wiped it, couple sharp toots and she was right back going flawlessly

Right but you might want to consider feeding the Nextel through the deck first. From there insert the mesh into the Nextel and pull the mesh/Nextel through the deck until you get the desired position after that it's just a matter of measuring what you want in terms of Nextel to sit on the bottom of the tank.

Did u guys drop wraps with using the nextel? I'm finding it too be a very cool, almost too cool vape, is that just nature of beast, it feels like i need to drop a coil( I'm at 4 wraps of .5 ribbon), but i dont wanna get in the danger zone.....have about the same resistance coil as i have on my aga-t and that is hitting much warmer with mesh

Give it a 3 wrap

Thanks for the info Bumpi! part of the clean up i do is keep the air bubble over the hole ( a trick/lesson i learned early on when i first started using carto tanks) and take a few sharp hits, i used some small pices of paper towel to clear the holes. I am using the spring in my switch..

i have gotten it to calm down and stop flooding, i wonder if there is a "time limit" the top can be off after filling the tank? I Took the top off, refilled the tank, cleaned the top, then reinstalled the top (yes i did turn it upside down and made sure the bubble was over the hole)
so i wonder if normal air pressure can reek havoc when the tank is full but the top is off.....

madmanmatt, You do not need to baby the Zen2 carto tank, mine goes to work with me in its mod hugger on a lanyard (See pic below) around my neck.....now, when i go to work i am not at a desk or anything like that, i do commercial heating and cooling so i am climbing ladders, working on units on roofs carrying tools and equipment and the like, i have not had any problems (i do keep an eye on it just to try and not break the tank) These are well built units!! it swings around and The cap has not come off at all

thanks hod rod, I baby my bam right now.
