As promised here is a picture of "the wire wheel bushy thingy". Apologies for the guy in the picture but said unkind things to me about not giving a BM about the eutectics of the shot.

Man, you got like this Gary Oldman, Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy thing going on.

That image looks like something you would see right before you are about to be tortured by some evil Bond villain.

Ripple Post...

good morning all!!!

Ian post. Get back to work you ........

I bought some more of your stinkin' juice by the way. What is it called again? Forbidden fruit or something? Whatever it was called reminded me of your penchant for buggery and lust for K-man's man meat.

Happy Tuesday .....es!!!!

Good morning all!

Happy Birthday Landlord! Hope you had a good one!

Tried uploading photos, but they are too large; in any event, I checked; the threads in the tube are andonized as well as the post in the switch--completely andonized. There appears to be a washer(?) over the switch post laying on the bottom of the switch.
Hopefully, the one picture I was able to upload will show below.

I have not touched the BAM in days, thought I'd give myself a little time away, LOL. Last night, tried to fire it up, coils just barely light up. I'm still hesitant to take Easy-Off to it, but will if you all insist

Juanita, I would leave the ano alone for now. It looks just like mine and my BAM works perfectly with the ano............

You should have one small washer under the screw in the switch. I couldn't tell in the pic. It gives the screw added height and makes a better connection to the battery.

Also do about 30 sec of sanding to the top of the screw using 400 sandpaper, roughly speaking, it's not a science......LOL........the slightly flattened head of the screw would make better contact with the battery.

Clean the switch with alcohol and qtip while you have it apart to make sure there is nothing that would impede good contact, and give a swipe with the alco qtip to the top and bottom of the battery if it's not a new one.

Will do. I DO have a washer, least it looks like one, silvery-whiteish, but it's on the bottom of the switch, over the post? See picture furthest to left and you can see silverish disc over the post there? And it's not budging.

I'm pretty sure the disc is actually just unanodized aluminum. It won't come off.

Ok, but, and maybe I'm reading wrong, Dearme's washer she said is under the SCREW, mine is actually over the post, on the bottom of the bottom part of the switch itself? In other words, my spring sits on top of that disc/washer whereas sounds like hers is between the screw and the silver threaded part of switch?

It's just a little washer that sits under the head of the screw to make the screw sit up slightly higher. It sounds like a minor thing, but it is important..........

Several suggestions have been made to SLIGHTLY squeeze the top and bottom of the spring in the switch so that it will make better contact with the post. I have not done that to mine, but others swear by it.

I thought the white/silver thing in the bottom of the switch around the post in the screw was 'something' as well, but the guys have convinced me that it's just a spot that is not anodized. That space in the BAMs that were sold at VC was anodized and may have been one the problems with those BAMs not working correctly.......

Let's not do anything major to the BAM until we have tried less intensive methods to get it to work correctly........
