Thanks! it seems to have helped, I was getting a .5ohm reading from the switch before and a .1ohm reading now. I doubt stripping the threads on the body will make any difference since I was getting no resistance through the device itself, thinking I'll work on the spring and bottom inside of the switch a little more.

really? i have one of the older ones, and no glue in it at all, I have taken all of them completely apart. must have been from before mine was born :?:
