I so rarely call in sick. I have over 500 hours of sick leave and I only accrue 4 hours a pay, so....there ya go. I generally only use my sick leave to take my mother to the doctor and I used some this summer for the IV stuff.
I got up, had my shower and decided...nah..not going in today. I can get a couple of things done that were neglected over the weekend...LOL.

Woohoo!!! Congrats on the day off!!!

I'm really digging my sidewinder...I have been trying to troubleshoot an issue that you Zen folks might be a little more prepared to deal with.

It seems that when I push straight down on my sidewinder switch, it will not fire. I have got to push it down and to the side. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

I took the Sidewinder apart, cleaned and polished all of the contact surfaces, and tightened up the switch---hoping to improve my Sidewinders performance. Still having the issue with the switch. I even added in one of the spacer washers in my switch to shorten the throw a bit, but that did not help either.

Wish I knew the answer. . . Vapor, Unfettered, jsl1ce or Andy will be in to answer soon, I'm sure ;) If not one of them, one of the other more knowledgeable folks!

I sort of have to do that too. That or really mash it down. I feel like it's back to magnet/no spring days when you had to push it just right for it to fire. I don't know if it's wrong or not, but mine is the same.

i also found the new springs that jason sells at ENS are shinier, maybe its in my head but it feels like it works better. the one in that^ pic is the one that came w/ the SW, which is no longer in my switch.

Is that a brass screw??

Sanding down the screw to a more flat surface seems to have helped me a bit. Will have to empty the tank and get the coil dry to really tell for sure though.
