Well as promised here is my "about me" post! sit back, grab some popcorn :pop: as this may get long.

My name is actually Franklin, and yes, i will answer to Frank. I am a 34 Years old Caucasian male. I am married to my wonderful wife (no she doesn't vape but is cool with me vaping...she calls it my "Steam Stick") for 5 years now. I work in the Commercial HVAC field as a service tech. I was a 1-1 1/2 pack a day smoker since i was 12. just over 2 years ago i was introduced to the vaping world in the form of a "cig-a-like" from a friend of mine. i used it off and on but continued to smoke. January of 2012 i found eGo and bought a kit used it more but still continued to smoke. May 2012, the friend who introduced me to vaping decided to open a B&M shop here in town (not Altsmoke...although they are here in town also) and introduced me to Variable Voltage in the form of a L-Rider Lambo. I fell in love and finished the pack of cigarettes i had and started vaping only. That was May 15th and i haven't looked back. Now i have several different devices (some i have purchased and some were from my friend as "tester" units as i can be rough on stuff and he wants to sell good quality stuff.) I have used cartos (Boge SS is my fave.), clearos (Kanger T3 is my fave.), dripping atties (HH357 long barrel is my fav.), various carto tanks, and i do have a couple Genesis style (DID clone and AGA-T+) and started looking at hybrids. I also DIY most of my own juice. I recently became the proud owner of a ProVari V2 because a guy i work with (actually i converted him to vaping) bought one, didnt like it and wanted to trade me for my Vamo (i had 2 at the time so it was no big deal and yes i did try and offer him the difference in cash or other APV items but he wouldn't take them) and i really like the provari. As i said i have been looking at hybrids and started getting frustrated because the ones i could find were always out of stock or selling for a holy crap ton of money ($400-$500). i started a wanted post looking for one and listed my budget (which was around $200) and i recieved a very nice PM from MissEmma pointing me in the direction of the ZAU and ZAP (she even PMed me the post in the classifieds that i bought my ZAP from) and then pointed me here to join in the fun and knowledge contained within. The rest is as they say history. I am now patiently (ok not really) awaiting the arrival of my ZAP (should be here either tomorrow or Thursday) and my order form ENS (this just shipped today) that has the accessories for the Zap mentioned in a previous post. I want to give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to MissEmma for her help!!

Now you know the story of me and i will post a pic of the ZAP when i get it and maybe an updated pic of all my PVs. Thanks for letting me join the family!

Glad you joined us :) I'm sooo glad you got that ZAP!! I'm sure you'll love it as much as we love our Zens :)

youre right about the empire, its a really well made pv... both my gg and gus tele wobble after a while though and have to be tightened back down.

weird, I have never had it happen since i switched to solid wicks, are you making them thick enough?

wow, sorry bro, maybe someone on here can contact him for you? imo i would get the 'velas back though, have you seen what those things are going for right now? insanity.

though from what I've seen mike sometimes takes his time doing stuff but he always takes care of his peeps in the end, i'm sure he hasnt forgotten about ya.

trust me J-man, I've not had a problem with wicking in a very very long time...I've had friends that did, and after I re-coiled their unfortunately shoddy work, and explaining what to look out for, neither did they...both had solid fat wicks in their rba's and had a ton of carmelization going on...one was running so cool (7/8 wraps of 32ga lol), the coil couldnt keep up with the wicking, the other was burning the hell outta the juice as he was running a 28ga 2/3 wrapped coil and hot spots bigtime...of course, both had their juice darkening, for different reasons...

Afternoon everyone. Quick question. My cobalt switch seems like its crooked.... Anyone else have that issue?

Miller! missed you last night... Unscrew the switch, take it off and engage it on a table, check results. Also, make sure the screw is tight inside the switch. As mine used to come loose on its own after a bit. I added some Naolox to the brass screw in mine and it seems to help a bit.

Hi everybody-

I've come to the conclusion that I suck at rebuilding my atomizers. My juice is always dark - right now neither is hitting worth a damn - when I do get them going good, I don't know why they're going good. I just poke at the coils till it seems to be working or change the coil if that doesn't work. *sigh* I've been doing this a while now - you'd think I'd get good at it!

Afternoon all. Going to be a short one. Is there any significance to you neww avatar or are you just messing with our heads

I've changed it here and on FaceBook.

Nonsense.
You found something that worked for you, to an extent, and lived with the dark juice.
I did the same.

I wish I lived closer to you, I'd come over and walk you through it.

I have this problem, mine was from wicking too well and me tipping too much. Right now it's like I play this balancing act between tipping up and getting a good hit or tipping down and getting a dry hit. Is this on your provari? I also lowered my voltage a little on mine. Might have helped?

Good afternoon everyone!! With that said.................

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!! My ZAP arrived today!! :w00t: Once i get it built (working on that right now) i will post pics!

It didn't come pre-built? Did they stop coming with a wick and coil installed? Or did it come looking like a blind man wrapped it and everything was cockeyed?
