You know, I really do think he's on to something with that.

I have days too where I'll use the same rotation of APV's that were hitting perfectly the previous day. If I don't mess with coils, ets, the same untouched set-ups will be champs again the next day. Some say they can feel weather changes in the knees, etc... I rely on my gennies.

It was so infuriating. The andyman is dedicated with boba's bounty. It was hitting so perfectly on Thursday, Ian and Lisa were practically fighting over that pv because it was tasting so great. All day Friday, I couldn't vape it. It tasted like a dirty sock. On Saturday, it tasted just as good as it did Thursday.

Yesterday was like that for me... Thankfully, everything is back to reality today. I've learned not to touch anything unless only one APV is acting wonky.

I'm going to make a coil wrapping video soon. But in the meantime...

Take the end of the wire and bend it into a "U" shape. Put it underneath the negative post so that the longer end of the wire for wrapping the coil is between the negative screw and the wick. Pull the long end of the wire over so that it is touching the wick, then tighten down the negative screw.

Pull the wire so that it is straight and taught and begin wrapping the coils as low on the wick and as close together as you can. You want the coils snug but not so tight that they are deforming the wick. After you've finished wrapping the coil, bring the wire around the wick and wrap it counter-clockwise around the positive screw one and a half times and tighten down the screw.

Gently adjust the coils so they are equally spaced. Line the top coil up close to the positive conneciton. Once you have the coils even, loosen the positive screw and pull the wire so that the positive wire lead is as short as possible and make sure the wick isn't touching the positive post or screw.

From there, adjust the coils and/or pulse fire until all of the shorts are gone. I wouldn't suggest crimping either of the leads, the method above works better; it doesn't add resistance or eventually start causing shorts at the leads. It's the best, easiest, and most consistent method I've found.

Looking forward to a vid of that.
I can get a picture in my head reading it... but would like to see it in action.

Ripple, I asked to taste the peach and blackberry juices that Clint had, he didn't ask me.

And waaahhh, my Andyman just stopped firing!! It worked beautifully until this morning. Don't have time to mess with it today. Work will be a bear. First day back; one co-worker out because she broke her ankle last week. Another co-worker's mother passed yesterday :(

OK, I admit it, I'm afraid of him......something about the tattoos and the way he talks, I'm such a whack job.......

Sorry for your work troubles, Lisa........:)

Ok, you're officially goofy. There is absolutely nothing to fear from Clint.

And I forgot that I bought one of those 15 dollar ProTanks for those days that all my coils are crap :p

you probably would not understand me then, my accent is a lot deeper than his lol :(
Not at all stevo. :thumb: There are deep accents, and then there is garbled speech that is totally independent of any kind of accent.
I'm one of the few in my family who doesn't have either an English accent, or a thick Scottish brogue because I was the red headed, step child of a great American father. I can understand every word they say including Scottish Gaelic, although I often wish that I couldn't...

I just realized with all of the drama, I never made a return from bash post.

I won't go into great depth but it was so much fun. I had a blast hanging with the whole group. It was great to hang with old friends and meeting new ones. The Hoffbrau Haus is awesome, Giordano's pizza is awesome. The Hilton sucks because they hosted a vape convention and said the only places we could vape was in the ballroom or our own hotel rooms, lol. I got to help people with their pv's and coils, i love to do that stuff, although Friday was a terrible vape day for everyone (myself included). It seemed no matter what I did, every coil on every pv I wrapped was giving me a hard time but things were much better on Saturday. Apparently, that anomally was affecting more people than just me. Mike guessed it was related to barometric pressure changes. I thought he was pulling my leg so I called him on it but he insisted he was serious.

I didn't spend too much money, I was really proud of myself. I snagged my MFA, got a bottle of G2 Captain Peaches from Clint at ENS's table and picked up some of Ripp's Retro Plasma from the CigTech's table. Both of these juices are superb, I'm ready for 100 mils of each, they are that good. Sleep was scarce throughout the weekend but the nectar was flowing. I'm really looking forward to Zenfest in August, so glad I don't have to travel for it, too!
Wow hopefully no more Vape Bashes at The Hilton anymore then... Vapers should never spend money to support anti-vaping policies like that! Although I never noticed because by the time I got there, I was completely oblivious walking around everywhere including outside of the Ballroom vaping and sipping out of my flask too lol!
And yes, Giordano's Pizza is a Chicagoland institution that I've been committed to many times...
