ME so glad Petie is on the mend...I know you're worried about him. Tyb any update on Luka or are you just in a wait an see mode?
By the way I should report that last night I cleaned my Pchela tank again wiping everything down really well with a white paper towel and no pink residue to be found I switched to a fat wick and think I am liking it a little more than the ceramic wick. Not that I won't use the wicks I picked up...just don't feel the ceramic is night and day above the mesh.

Hey nin, how's that ceramic wick treating you? How tight are you wrapping your coils around it by chance?

good...wicking better....you have to wrap it as tight as possible hence why people are hot wrapping it. as i said before, once you have buildup on the coil it doesn't much matter, but with my juices that may take days....mine tend to be very very clean and don't gunk up very fast.

one thing that i will note is the vapor is subpar.i think this is generally do with heatsink issues....with ss it isn't just the coils vaporizing juice but the wick also puts out a high amount of vapor...with the ceramic it does not have quite the effect. not sure i will be staying with the ceramic, but will test more

Luka started weak but ended up with a good day. she is now being picky about what she eats. boiled chicken was a hit yesterday, but I got cute and added kelp. now it's a no go even if I give it to her plain. she wants row hamburger. I arguing too much of that can't be a good thing.

The vet said that Petie is much better, but wants to keep him tonight to try to get his electrolytes down a bit more. He's eating and apparently sleeping in his litter box.

That's common in kitties staying in boarding cages (which are essentially what most vets use; 3' cubes of wire). Their world is some 80% smell, and we all know what the most important part of any "person" is to a cat if we've ever watched more than one of them interact with each other. Petie is just trying to surround himself with a familiar and self-reinforcing scent.

Back to the office tomorrow to move folks into the temporary office space (a back corner of the building that was until recently sub-let to one of those granite counter-top vendors that are for some reason ubiquitous in San Leandro) so the remediators can tear the front offices apart and replace the flooded carpet, lower wall boarding, and asbestos-infused carpet adhesive. *sigh*. Three months in a bull-pen environment with every other member of my company... Oh, well; I can always pretend we are some s....y SOMA-based San Francisco software company. Except everyone in my company is, like, 40+.
