misplaced, see if the A7 has a floating center pin in it and if it does, try pushing it down a little. I have a AGA-T that I was having the same issue with (would not fire on my Provari). Once I pushed the center pin down a little so it would make contact it started working like a champ.

Just wish I wasn't 2 hours away from ya cause I think I could have ya blowin clouds in no time.

The A7 has a threaded center pin which can be screwed in or out to insure proper contact.

I have a carto setup, so testing under load was difficult to figure out. so I tested under load with the carto top and used a 1.6 ohm atty.. so 1.6ohm atty loaded read 3.77. .... the batt was low. no load it read 3.9. so not that much losss. I retest again later and post results. my memory isn't so great.

Now that was with magnets Right?

I tried mine with no spring in it and the V drop is about what you would expect with a SS switch. So this shouldn't be that big a deal. It isn't like Altsmoke didn't figure out the hot spring years ago, and that's basically all we are dealing with here.

soooo got vapemail today. here are my latest results.. alot more pleased w/ the zen but i think it can still use some optimization...

    First off...

    2.58 ohm atty
    4.17 V battery

    Z2 switch - 3.77
    Steammonkey Switch 3.99
Added magnets to Z2 switch - Kept arking and when fired was just as bad as original if not at times worse

Now, i will wait for the replacement spring from ENS and will also go to hardware store to see if i can pick up any flat brass screws for better contact for both.

glad to see thinks are working better. I had magnets in mine and had no arcing, worked pretty good till one broke, well split into like 6 pieces. what are the differences between the sm switch and the zen? have you tried switching parts between to two to see where the drop could be coming from in the zen switch. I have some drop in mine and in the same boat. one thing I did was file a nice flat spot on the screws, both top and bottom screw..

There is nothing wrong with a slot (or Philips screw pattern) on the surface of a contact. We have been doing that to contacts for many-many years to help promote cooling, and reduce pitting.

It's a new carto and I watched a few videos on how to fill a carto and I have had it soaking for like a week now and still same light to none vape :( any advise? And any word on the 24k plating fix that "was supposed" to happen? The Gen. Rocks socks though :)

I didn't file it that much. just a bit, for a little more contact surface. is working decent now. still have to use a kick with a boge carto for a decent vape.

I've never been a fan of LR (2ohm) cartos/tanks on a 3.7v PV. The cartos just don't last. A SR (3ohm) carto/tank on a VV PV at 4.5-5v is a different ball game tho'.

And, those lazer drilled cartos at ENS are as good as it gets.

my boges aren't lasting that long, bout 15ml and there not so good. I will say they are leaps and bounds were they were 8 months ago. im a big 801 guy. just love the 01 and the z2 carto vapes a lot like a 801, as far as draw and vapor, better taste then a801. im goin to try some carto's from somewhere else when they get in stock, also emailed them about a lr flangless carto. they have a great 1.7-1.8ohm flanged carto. wish that had is flangless.

Why I say 3 ohm on a vv.... (or a Kick)

I only have one 3 ohm lazar drilled Boge 510 going anymore. (all my other PV's have drippers on them) It's on an old VV box mod that I made, which is set at 4.5v. The J-tank has High Caliber Cappuccino in it, and the carto has had at least 50 ml of juice put through it.

ENS also has lazer drilled 801's

They are cartos, Zen didnt reinventthe wheel he just found a better place to put it

The switch is a 2 motion Function make sure you take it apart and clean every part if its been arching get some of the real autobody (not kitchen) Scotchbrite (alot of hardware stores have it too ) it will be Burgandry in color and make sure everything is clean and smooth .... everclear or high alcohol content vodka is grat for cleaning

One thing you might try is just to ensure the carto is installed snug (you don't have to over tighten it) but I do find with my killer that I have to snug it down from time to time. Hope it helps...

    Thanks Iowa Gal,
Started feeling like my question was falling on def ears :( anyways..... It's snug alright :) but it's just not as strong as the RBA vape I get from the ZEN~2 Gen. or my Noble 1 so until I can figure out this carto thing I'm sticking with my trusted RBA's ;) Thanks again
