Aspire Cyber G - Review by Javichu

Hey there folks.

Time for another review,this time its a pod like device that was sent to me by Aspire for the purposes of this review.

As part of my MO i will get us started with some pics that with a quick glance will let you know the type of device i will be reviewing today.

Components:

Aspire ASP chipset:

Filling:

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Time to open the box and see what is inside,all is neatly tucked away and surprise surprise Aspire decided to splurge and throw in an extra coil.
Kudos on that Aspire,well done.

Contents in the box:

1 Cyber G kit
1 cartridge of 0.80 ohm
1 cartridge of 1.0 ohm
1 USB-C cable
1 user manual

Holding the pod it does feel small,granted i am always into bigger mods so that must be it.
Weight is about 40 grams but it is made of Aluminum alloy,that is the main body of the pod,nice and sturdy feeling when holding it tells you it was well designed and put together.

VAPING TIME:

While the coils soak up the e-liquid i fiddle around with the options.
This pod has 3 different settings when it comes to using it:
-Just auto draw
-Just fire button
-Auto draw and fire button

To switch between modes just click 3 times the fire button (with the mod on) and you will see 2 little lights light on,that means you can auto draw and use the fire button.
If you press the fire button once more you can light up just one of the leds (led A on the left side) which means its on auto draw mode.
The light will blink to confirm your choice,same operation if you want to only use the fire button.
Press fire button 3 times,then fire again and the led on the right side will be on,wait for it to blink then voila you are only using the fire button to use the pod.
If you decide to go back to dual mode (auto draw and fire button) just press the fire button 3 times,click until all 2 leds are lit up,wait for the blinking to cofirm your choice.

Battery wise you have a led light located at the base of the pod,3 different colors to show you the current state of the battery:

-Green=100% to 60% battery
-Blue=60% to 30% battery
-Green=30% or less battery

Both coils the 0.80 ohm and 1..0 ohm have been absorbing the sweet nectar of the gods for a good 15 minutes so yeah let us huff and puff and see how it feels.
For this review i am using a Red Bull type aroma at a 50/50 proportion and 20mg nic salts.

Starting with the 1.0 ohm,i get a nice solid mtl hit not too warm but it does hit.
Flavor wise i am getting all the flavor i could ask for,since its nic salts and much higher dosage of nic that i am use to i take things slowly.
Used the 1.0 ohm coil during the morning and it did satisfy my vaping needs,granted i used it alongside my main sub-ohm tank set up but it was a pleasurable vape.

Afternoon i switched to the 0.8 coil,to be honest here i didn't notice that much of a difference,the vape was a tad warmer thou,i kinda enjoyed the 0.8 coil a bit more than the 1.0 ohm.

Still the same flavor and a pretty nice hit,used that coil all afternoon and all next morning as well.
I tried out both auto draw and the fire button and did not notice any change in performance,good job on that Aspire.
Some other brands struggle with auto draw and when you use it you do notice a slight lose of performance when compared to the good ol' fire button.

Did notice a couple of time a slight hiccup when using auto draw but after paying close attention that was a problem on my behalf,my inhaling wasn't up to the task of auto draw.
I don't normally use it in my day to day vaping so i had to focus a bit on making strong and consistent inhales,so that is on me not the pod.

Drip tip thou,bit small for my taste,again this is just a personal opinion but for me and my full bodied kissable Spanish lips it just felt a tad small.
Looked myself in the mirror and the way i had to pucker my lips to use the pod made me have nightmares at night...seriously,that is something you do not want to see.

PROS:

-Solid design and well built
-Good flavor and cloud production from the coils
-Easy refill system
-No wiggle waggle from the cartridge that has the mesh coils,magnets hold it firmly in place
-No leaking whatsoever

CONS:

-Personal taste,the drip tip way to thin and small for me
-Not much difference from the 0.8 ohm to the 1.0 ohm,the 0.1 ohm a tad hotter but that's about it.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE:

Well it all depends on your needs.
But for a person new to vaping that needs a simple yet flawless working device then yes this is perfect to get you off the cigarettes.
For veteran vapers its also a nice device for those MTL vapers that sometimes just need something really small and portable without the hassles of a big mod with an RDA on top.
Somedays we are lazy so we just want to vape without any hassle or complications,in that sense this pod delivers all that and more.

Well that is it for today folks.

Thanks to my friends at Aspire for sending me this product so i could review it and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this review.

Shaloam

It's your favorite special human, my mom always said so anyway, I'm always posting dumb and dangerous .... on the forums but I'm a loveable guy.

Ps. I didn't mean to give anyone bad ideas, I keep forgetting with people on the internet it's monkey see monkey do, so if you can save someone's face, then by all means.

As far as vaping goes I have the dovpo dual topside black and gold edition squonk mod with the profile ps running the nexmesh A1 strips in parallel mode(.07 ohms, 43 amps, 130 watts)
I use batteries that are within the amp rating.
Molicel p28a batteries I think they're called.
The profile is also gold, perfect match.
Im a flavor chaser and this is where I ended up. Haven't found anything that gives off as good flavor as the a1 strips in the profile ps.(some builds have come kind of close) (Clouds are godlike) but not important. It would be subjective saying it's the best vape ever, but in terms of how much flavor you get each hit, nothing gives more. And if there's something you think could deliver more flavor let me know I want to continue the chase.
My yihi chip in my dovpo only is supposed to go up to 40 amps, and it only goes to 43, I'm ables to squeeze that much out and no more. And I'm only at like 3.3 volts roughly at 130 watts at .07ohms. it requires so much power to function properly if you can dish out at least 35 amps.
UNLESS you vape it in series mode, still very good, just prefer parallel. So if you got a single battery mod, then put the series pin in and the A1 strips work perfect at 90 to 100 watts.
Air flow is so buttery smooth my lord.
Throw out the strips that come with it, and order the a1 strips, ss316, and classic strips and try those. The parallel 510 pin isn't pre installed tight enough so only one side will fire so out of the box you need to tighten it for both to fire.

^all the reviewers on YouTube thought that only one side was supposed to fire with the pre installed pin to they each did the review in series.
And they used the strips that came with it and they are trash. Throw out those strips that come with the device.
2/3 of a piece of cotton bacon roughly is the perfect wick size. Really tight but not as tighten as you can possibly go either, tighter than a regular coil.

So since the reviews did all their reviews with the stock mesh strips, annnddd in series mode, it's a very underrated rda.bit still got decent reviews, but it should've had more popularity with the performance of the other strips. but no one even bothered to try or knew about them and now their profile is sitting in their vape part graveyard when they have no idea what their missing out on.

I also got the stng by wotofo, I love wotofo obviously, there are better mtl rdas, but it is great, kind of prehistoric but prehistoric works, sometimes simple is better, and it's only 15 dollars. So it's a no brainer.
Right now I'm vaping on 28g ni80 2mm 9 wraps. 1 ohm. Very nice. Mouth to lung hit. Nothing else much to say.
I want to get some 30 guage ni80, do a 3mm 7 wraps 2 strand parallel coil(.9ohm)
Also want to try 32 guage 3mm 5 wrap(1ohm) 2 strand
And want to try 32 g 6 wrap(1.15 ohm) 2 strand

I know one of those I try will end up being the winner. Never seen anyone do a parallel build for mtl so I like how it'll be unique. I've figured out for mtl I like to be from.9 to 1.1 ohms. Usually around 17 to 20 watts.

So that's all about me in regards to vaping.

The picture of the cloud from the profile does not do the justice a video does, not at all, but still an idea. The only thing I've seen blow clouds this big is an rda with a triple coil deck or one of those decks with 4 or more coils. But that's just too gigantic and that much heat wouldn't be fun all the time.

Istick Pico breaks to easily - stick with it or go for alternative?

I wondered if there is something more robust than the pico? I saw there was one from Pipeline with stainless steel components but it seems that it is not produced anymore.

At the moment I still have the Pico v1 b. I like the look. But the cap for the battery is jumping of sometimes. The thread might be worn out. Also overall it doesnt look good anymore.

I wonder if I should go for pico v2. What do you think pico 1 vs pico 2?

Also is there something out there that is also so nice and small but maybe has higher quality materials?

Pod, again

Ever since pod type vapes came out, I get curious from time to time and have to try whatever is new and innovative. The idea of a smallish and fairly discreet device does have some appeal. This time around I got myself a vaporesso luxe qs. It seems to be a somewhat restricted DL, I can get a pretty decent hit off it and it works ok for MTL as well. The only problem I found was the pod is kinda hard to remove, especially in the morning when my joints are stiff and don't want to do anything yet. So, I went and bought a Smok, yes I know what I said about Smok on another thread hahaha, RPM 40. It wasn't expensive and neither was the luxe qs. I can pull the pod much easier on the RPM but I don't care for the side fill hole at all. The plug is tedious to replace after filling because the actual fill hole is too tiny

Battery smoked ?

The other day I placed a Molicel M35A 18650 3500mAh 10A Battery into my Efest Slim K4 Battery Charger and it immediately smoked the battery upon contact with the positive terminal. I always purchase batteries and chargers from 18650 Battery store and this battery was probably close to its end of cycle life. Charger still works fine but would it be a good idea to replace it ? I’m kind of taking it as a battery gone bad been vaping for a long time but have kind of neglected to educate myself a little better on batteries beyond the basics.

thx for help

Voltrove 25 v.3 RTA Reviewed by SessionDrummer

1 Lede.jpg

If you've never heard of, or decided to purchase a Voltrove, you MIGHT want to read this review. This one is claimed to be a real flavor chucker, AND in either Single, or Dual coil mode, so we will just see about that. Hang on, buckle up, grab a drink, and enjoy the ride !!!!!

**Specs:**

* 304 stainless steel construction.
* 810 Wide bore, shorty Delrin drip tip.
* Easy to build on postless deck design.
* Glass straight tank = 4mL
* Glass bubble tank = 6mL
* Tinted glass on black RTAs won't peel.
* Removable AFC
* Keyed top cap

**What's Included:**

* 25mm v3 RTA (straight tank installed)
* Bubble tank section
* Spare o-ring/screw kit
* O-ring sizer

I decided to pick the 25v3, and a few juices from Joe over at Royal Vapes in the UK. I also decided to use 3 of his juices to test this RTA out, and I'll link to EVERYTHING in the "Linkage" section below the review.

2 Royal Vapes.jpg

Now NORMALLY I'd just "Blah, blah, blah", and gloss over the box, but this one, was a work of art ...

3 Box.jpg

And, because Mark KNEW how hard these boxes in boxes can be to slide out, he included a pull tab ...

4 Box Bottom.jpg

5 Box Open.jpg

5a Box Open 2.jpg

Included were an o-ring guide card, spare o-rings, and grub screws ..

6 Extras.jpg

Wait, where's the instructions, and what's a o-ring guide card ??

7 O-ring Guide.jpg

Even THOUGH there were NO coils, instructions, or tips and tricks included, the o-rings, grub screws, and driver were ABOVE average, especially the grub screws ....

8 Extras 2.jpg

I chose the Black over the Stainless, as the black came with tinted glass, that was almost reflective, and VERY hard to photograph. The 4ml flat glass came pre-installed, along with the spare 6ml bubble glass ...

A visit to Chemnovatic...

I dont quite know where this one would go in the forum, I usually post in the reviews section but this isn't really a review, it's more of a look at Chemnovatic in Lublin, Poland.

This is a three-parter, with all three parts for Chemnovatic released on the channel today. It's a discussion on Nic Salts, nicotine in general, Chemnovatic as a company and other stuff that DIY vapers might be interested in.

All three episodes covering Chemnovatic are part of Vaping/Ecig101 Season 3, which is covering everything to do with e-liquids...

MOV (mountain oak vapor) alternative

I used Mountain Oak Vapors for years and stocked up before they stopped online sales. My stock is getting low and the closest physical store is about 10 hours away so not an option. I can't find any other eliquid I like as much. Anyone familar with MOV tobacco flavors have any suggestion of any similar alternatives? I used MOV Wrangler, (tobacco) Classic Country, (a RY4ish) Americano a (coffee tobacco) and occasionally Sunday Morning a natural extract (coffee tobacco), and a couple more tobaccos Gambler and Outlaw. The MOV liquids are so well balanced never to much of anything, always good for all day vape and never to sweet. The natural extracts were brutal on coils but I used them rarely.

I should point out that I'm a MTL guy and use the go to MTL type RTAs, Kayfun Prime and similar with cotton wicked single coils. Usually build 1.5ish coils at run at about 10 watts so my liquid is usually around 12 to 15 MG, average 50/50 pg/vg ratio.

When liquid is heavy VG and thicker I will thin it with a squirt of PG.

So many new MTL liquid is very strong salt and I find it to strong for RTAs even if they are MTL type. I'm guessing the high NIC salts are for POD type device? I am gathering a lot of liquid that will go to waste as I try to find suitable MOV alts.

Thanks for any insight.

UWELL TENET & TENET KOKO POD KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Once again I welcome all of you back for today's review of the Tenet and Tenet Pod Kits from UWELL that were supplied to me from HealthCabin for review. Both of these kits are almost identical as far as vape features go but as you will see, are very different in form. I will say that both are really geared towards MTL vaping but you can get a tight RDL vape from them. Both of these use a internal battery ( TENET - 750MaH ) - ( TENET KOKO - 950MaH ) and use the Caliburn G and G2 coils. As always lets start out with some information on both devices then I'll give my feelings and findings on them in my review.

Steam Crave Meson AIO

I received mine a couple of days ago, here's my take on it.
Lots of air, lots of power.
If you are a high power wattage vaper and want to do that with a Boro AIO this is for you.

The pros: 21700 battery. 2 amp onboard charging.
Dual coil deck and mesh deck included. Includes lots of extras.
The deck can be removed without emptying the tank.

The cons: Heavy.
No wattage adjustment in TC mode.
No TCR adjustment in TC mode, just Ni,Ti and SS.
TC does work but you better have some high power coils installed as the boost/preheat is high.

To sum it up, it works very well in wattage mode, TC not so much.

Bench Test Results: Epoch 28B - 40A 2800mAh 18650

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This cell performs a little better than the Molicel P28A, which is expected if it is indeed a P28B rewrap. I cannot guarantee that this cell is a Molicel P28B rewrap but due to its appearance, performance, and some other info I cannot discuss, in my opinion this is a rewrap of the Molicel P28B. That cell is the all-around best performing 18650 we can buy in my opinion.

The P28B is not yet in production so these would be sample “pre-production” cells sent to Molicel’s customers for testing and feedback.

This cell’s internal resistance is a bit lower than the P28A so it runs a few degrees cooler at high power levels. At 10A they performed the same in my testing. At 20A the Epoch ran for about 3% longer. At 30A the Epoch ran for about 8% longer.

The Epoch’s delivered an average of 2758mAh. This is well above the P28B’s 2650mAh minimum capacity rating but below the 2800mAh typical capacity rating. This might be due to these cells being pre-production P28B samples and not fully tweaked yet.

The 40A rating of these Epoch cells is not a true continuous rating IMO. The P28B is rated at 40A in the one-page spec sheet but that rating is temperature-limited to 80°C. When the cell gets that hot you must stop. Since the P28B would reach about 100°C at 40A you must stop about 2/3 of the way through the discharge.

So while, technically, the 40A rating for these cells is accurate I am disappointed that there is no mention on the wrap that it’s not a true continuous current rating (which can be used to compare against other cells). Most applications will never run this cell continuously at such high power levels but I believe strongly in accurate, consistently set ratings. 18650BatteryStore contacted me though and said that the wrap will be changed to add a continuous current rating and list the 40A rating as temperature-limited. This is great news!

Since the Epoch 28B reaches about 86°C at 30A (down to 2.5V) I am giving it an estimated 25A continuous and 40A temp-limited rating.

This cell is double-wrapped, a good thing for durability, but Molicels are already a little bit larger than most other cells. That can make this Epoch a tight fit in some devices. I recommend testing their size before committing to a large purchase if other cells are already a snug fit.
