After the release of the 5 series last summer with the dual battery version, Geekvape adds a new piece to the Aegis series with the new Aegis Mini 5 Mod. The battery changes, here integrated at 3200 mAh, but the protections against water, dust, and shocks that Geekvape made a standard and built its codebase over the years do not change. Aegis 5 gifted by Sourcemore, without receiving money or having working relationships with them.

Spacious cup with 510 connection to be able to install any equipped atom. As Geekvape has always accustomed us (I have been using the Aegis since the very first series), stable and precise readings of the coil. Steel material with knurled texture to avoid putting the atom flush and jamming it.
USB Type-C port protected by the rubber cap with the Geekvape logo to keep it safe from water (IP67) and dust to recharge the 3200 mAh of integrated battery. Geekvape specifies that it is 5V / 3A even though usually I have always used a "normal" 2A which anyway, is not provided in the package and must be provided by the final user
The back is rounded to fit the palm of the hand. The coating for all colorations is in eco-leather, I think however the texture changes. In my case (black) the leather is slightly rough, little spongy effect but anyway slightly more comfortable than the Legend 5.
On the side, the frame that at first glance has always distinguished the Aegis line from all other boxes besides the return of the practical A-Lock, that is a switch that quickly allows to completely lock the keys. Possible therefore to transport it in all safety in the pocket without accidental fires.
The rubber-coated bottom is much wider than the 4 series and thanks to the integrated battery, it remains stable when placed down even without an atom installed on top. Printed on it, the various brands including CE, UK CA and disposal.
On the front side the key with the form factor that does not change from the Legend 5 and that on this Mini results even more comfortable to press in any position it is held thanks to the smaller dimensions. The 0.96'' TFT screen quite clear but not very bright that shows all the info. Below, the layout of the two keys + and - flush with the body of the Mini 5 remains unchanged
The chipset is heavily revised always compared to the Legend, removing a good deal of the superfluous and leaving what actually, is needed.

After many years the Aegis series by Geekvape, arrived at version 5 remains one of the most lucrative in the history of vaping winning over enthusiasts who need durable boxes but also those who love looking for a box that works well.
