Six days since his post and no replies, I think OP has flown the coop, a flyby.
That or they saw that a lot of people here didn’t vape disposables and had a low opinion of them. I see a lot of vapers who because disposables are “newer” (they’re actually not) they must be “better” because what technology actually moves backwards? THIS ONE. disposables and “salts” didn’t become popular because they were good or safe. THEYRE neither. They were heavily pushed because they're vastly higher profit, and They became popular because they were a better way to play “smokin in the boys room”. To be fair, they still are. If your vape could get confiscated at any time disposables win.
Rebuildables are only better if you’re not going to high school any more.

Ultrasonic vape technology. Why did it disappear?

Hello all. I am really interested in ultrasonic technology in vape systems. Do you know why this technology is no longer available or developed?
Do anybody have a contact for a company that still produces such things? I'd be really grateful for any information! Thanks!
My memory is there were size and power use issues. I didn’t know about the noise one, though it makes some sense. That might all be fixable with advancing technology though. Does solve the heat problem, which is big. For one it changes the base requirements. You can use water as a base for example. With no heat the dry hit and metals things go away. It’s real questionable if they were even ever a real problem and it wasn’t just tobacco companies putting their finger on the science scale, but this shoots the metal shards thing in the face. There may be other stuff. It Also changes the flavoring requirements massively. You could potentially use *any* flavor safely. Possibly not oils. That would have to be tested. There are lots of flavorings that are unstable at vape temperatures. Things would open up.
Vape tech has always had rich enemies though. It may just have been bought and killed. The whole heat thing more or less drives every limitation vaping has.

Random DIY mixing and More

Good morning random folks. I'm spending my morning on the deck, with coffee and vape, of course. Today is overcast but no rain in the guess. I have a hummingbird bird that has been checking out the feeder, but afraid to try it, probably because I'm sitting out here. The nectar level is getting low, so I'm sure the hummers are feeding. I have a lot to do these next couple of days because I have a group of 20 missionaries in training coming for dinner tomorrow night. I was going to set up one of the tables on the deck, but since there's a 50% chance of rain tomorrow, it looks like I'll have to squeeze two tables into the dining room. At least I have a dining room, which is more than I can say for my last place.

What Will Vapes Look Like in 2030? Share Your Most Creative Design Ideas

OK -- i'll play...

Would you try a wearable vape like a ring or necklace?
A ring, no. It would either be in the way or have too small an e-liquid capacity.
A necklace: There are already vapes that are made for &/or include a lanyard. Never use them, myself.
How about a modular system that lets you swap flavor pods and batteries like LEGO?
That already exists. They don't seem to have caught on much.
Or maybe something stealthy, disguised as a USB stick or wireless earbuds?
Vaping already gets shirt for minors sneaking stealthy vapes that look like USB sticks, etc. We don't need more of that.
drop your wildest vape design concepts below!
The only design ideas i have aren't very wild & all exist but aren't common:
An on/off switch. A menu/mode button. A couple buttons for memory slots. Covers for USB ports.
i never claimed to be smart or creative.

Anyone Still Dripping?

I’m going back to building coils and dripping. Does anyone still do this? I don’t want to depend on disposable vapes.
Plenty of folks build coils & plenty drip. Personally, i use pre-built RTA/RDA coils because i'm clumsy & not too bright. i use drippers sometimes, mostly to test new e-liquid mixes, sometimes just for the Hell of it because i like variety in my vaping experiences. Some people drip all the time.

You know that you can build your coils and use them w/o dripping, right? In an RTA or RDTA rather than in an RDA?
