No more doubts:

Newswise — Catania, 17 December 2021 - Thousands of studies with different and often inconsistent results have so far been the primary snag to evaluate the toxicity of e-cigarettes.
No more doubts: e-cigs are less toxic than traditional cigarettes.

BLOTTO SINGLE COIL RTA REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

I'm back again with another RTA review and I'm glad you made it here. Dovpo has had great success with the very popular Blotto line of RTA's and they added another to the line, a single coil RTA called the Blotto Single Coil not to be confused with the Blotto Single Coil Mini. The mini was more open in the airflow department and this single coil I'm reviewing today is more of a restricted direct lung atomizer that is still 100% Blotto with it's bottlecap design but with a more restricted vape. As always lets check out some details on this RTA prior to my review of it.

FEATURES

DOVPO Blotto Single Coil RTA Tank

  • 1. Design for single coil direct lung vaping
  • 2. Original honeycomb air flow, smooth to adjust
  • 3. Comes with honeycomb holes inside the posts
  • 4. Improved cotton well
  • 5. Elevated metal backed airflow posts
  • 6. Top refilling design
  • 7. Strengthened AFC ring & base
  • 8. Dual diffusion airflow system

Original Honeycomb Air Flow
The Blotto Single Coil RTA continues the original honeycomb air ring, which is smooth to adjust. It also comes with honeycomb holes insides the posts to provide the advanced air diffusion solution. When the air flows through the RTA, the honeycomb holes deliver the air evenly through the wire & cotton, offering superior flavor to match your taste. You can tell the E-liquid profile layer by layer from one deep puff.

Improved Cotton Well
In order to offer the best flavor, the cotton well of the Blotto Single RTA has narrowed to the perfect size for single coil cottons, so the juice will be vaporized adequately and rich of layering. However, the cotton well’s not too narrow either, so even vapers who are new to RBA vape can set the coil and the cottons easily.

Elevated Metal Backed Airflow Posts
For the latest Blotto Single RTA posts, we utilized stainless steel to seal the honey-combed style posts, to be more tolerable to the heat. The positive and negative posts formed a 272°circle where the built wire sits. When vaping, the air goes through the posts and be diffused from the honeycomb holes to the wet cotton evenly, to provide the refreshing and loyal taste to vapers.

BREAKDOWN

DOVPO_Blotto_Single_Coil_RTA_Product_Overview.jpg

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Packaging for the RTA was pretty basic with a transparent window on the front of the box displaying the Blotto Single Coil RTA in a cutout of foam as many company's do, underneath are 2 other tubes/tanks, 1 is a bubble glass and the other is a bubble yellow PCTG, both bubble tubes have a 5ml capacity. The RTA ships with a straight glass tube/tank already installed on the atomizer that has a 2.8ml capacity. No coil or wicking material is included.

20211218_051351.jpg

With this being a smaller version and having a smaller build deck than the original I decided to do my review with the straight glass on it, I'm not a fan of bubble glass but sometimes I have no choice but to use them, thankfully this time I did.

I did want to install the glass bubble just to see how it looked and take a picture for you so I proceeded to remove the straight glass but it wasn't coming off, after about 5 minutes of trying I knew what needed to done next.

I filled a plastic bowl with very hot soapy water (Dawn) and let it and the deck soak for about a half hour. I removed it and rinsed all the soapy water off , dried the glass and tried to remove the straight glass again to no avail, it felt glued in place. The next thing I tried was using a rubber jar opener on the glass and after a couple of minutes of twisting the glass back and forth it finally pulled free. After cleaning all the pieces I laid them out to dry. I put the bubble tank on it but decided to stay with the 2.8ml straight glass for testing the atomizer, the appearance with straight glass is so much better.

20211218_072511.jpg

20211218_083721.jpg

The Blotto Single Coil is a top fill atomizer that attaches uses the Bayonet style and has a 1/4 turn opening/closing. The juice fill ports support 100ml bottle tips but just barely, you wont be able to insert the tip into the fill port but filling using this type of tip works just fine and is mess free.

20211218_125522.jpg

The dual airflow inlet slots that sit 180° from each other are honeycombed providing a very smooth airflow at any setting, I also love how Dovpo and Vaping Bogan designed the honeycombed post holes to be offset giving 272° of airflow to the coil (great idea), also there is some airflow coming up underneath to coil.

20211218_120441.jpg

As you can see the Blotto Single Coil uses a raised deck platform and is really a post less deck because of the way of attaching the coil legs, after cutting to size which you can use the Bogan Skull tool to do or use the Coily tool tool on the 4.5 or 5 mark then drop the legs in the holes then tighten and make your adjustments to center the coil on the deck. If you like a more open airy vape I would go with a 2.5mm diameter coil, I chose to use a 3mm coil to judge how restricted the vape would be and I loved it, (just right) with the airflow fully open.

20211218_123053.jpg

When wicking you want to cut the cotton right at the edge of the metal deck where it meets the rubber O-ring, you will need to thin out your tails so they just fall into the wick wells without force, I thinned the tails pictured below much more after trying a fitment.

20211218_124436.jpg

You want your tails to either just poke through or drop down just before hitting bottom as I did on this build that was a 0.24Ω 3mm Quad-Core Fused Clapton coil that hits my sweet spot at 58 watts. The only thing I would have changed on the deck was the screws from Flat head to Phillips head.

20211218_125243.jpg

20211218_125035.jpg

After getting the atomizer together it was time to find it a home on top of a mod, looking through some recent review items I came across it's new home. I think the all Black murdered out look with white lettering of the mod and the White Skull really make this combo pop, don't you agree.

20211218_125646.jpg

PROS

* Great Flavor

* Attractive

* Smooth Airflow

* Quarter Turn Top Cap

* 3 Tank Tubes Included

* Easy Build Deck

CONS

* No Cotton Or Coil Included

* No Build Directions In The Manual - (Bad For Inexperienced Or New Vapers)

USING THE BLOTTO SINGLE COIL RTA

After the problem of trying to get the straight glass off was taken care of it's been nothing but smooth sailing using this atomizer. I will say that I'm surprised that Dovpo failed to include some cotton or at least 1 coil in the box.

As far as ease of use any seasoned vaper should have no trouble building on this great deck but I wouldn't recommend it to a new vaper.

The wicking works very well even chain vaping (no dry hits yet) and the airflow for my taste is perfect, I never tried a 2.5mm coil because the 3mm I installed was and still is performing great. I think those of you that like a airy vape should use a 2.5mm coil though.

The flavor that this RTA puts out is great, I didn't think it was going to be as good as it is. I like the Blotto Single Coil more than the original Blotto I have to say.

I would like to thank Joyi and Sourcemore for providing the Blotto Single Coil RTA for the purpose of this review. If you like a RDL vape and great flavor you should pick one up for yourself, you won't be disappointed. You can pick one up at Sourcemore clicking on this link.

Looking for a 18650 charger that has a built in Internal Resistance tester.

I'm looking for a charger to recharge my 18650 battery's for my vaping stuff and flashlights.

I have seen battery chargers before that charge 18650 battery's that have a built in internal resistance tester feature built into them but for some reason I can't find one with the internal resistance feature.

The reason I'd like to get a charger for 18650 and 26650 cells that has a built in internal resistance tester is to be able to test different new cells.

The lower the internal resistance the more charge's you normally get from battery's and it also means a better quality battery.

I used to be into RC car's and boats when I was younger and that's how I know about the internal resistance thing.

OXVA Orbiter - Can anybody help me identify this issue?

Hey everyone,

so I've had my OXVA Orbiter for about 6 months and it has been my favourite RTA by far with massive flavour and absolutely zero leakage. However a few weeks ago it started shorting out. I've taken it apart and cleaned it probably about 20 times now, tried it on different mods with a bunch of different coils, and then spent another 2 hours at my local shop where the owner tried everything he could think of, and by the end he was as confused and frustrated as I was, saying it's been the only rebuildable that has defeated him.

The errors switch between "Check atomizer" and "Atomizer short", and the weird thing is it will work with one coil, no matter which side, but as soon as there's two installed the errors come.

The 510 connector pin/bolt screws in and holds one side of deck down snuggly in to the other, and as the image shows below it's completely insulated by either plastic or some kind of ceramic, and there's no cracks, potential shrapnel interfering or any signs of where the current could be transferring beyond the coils.

I've just ordered 2 more because I love it too much to let this RTA go, but working out the issue has become an obsession. If anybody has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Many thanks and big love <3

Provari 18650 Sleeves

Remember Serenity Gear Leather? Yeah, me too. Well here's 2 of Tim's sleeves from back in the day, plus an extra "carbon fiber" sleeve made by??? I have no idea.

The black leather sleeve seems to be in great shape still. The brown one however, the mod stopper at the bottom seems to be coming unglued. I remember having this happen to a few other sleeves from him. Never heard about anyone else having the issue though, maybe it was just the way I used them, I dunno.

The "carbon fiber" one, well that's just a plastic tube with a carbon fiber sticker on it. Still somewhat snazzy looking. And functioned as intended.

How about $20 shipped for all 3? I can absolutely do less, just shoot me an offer. Not free though, I gotta at least cover shipping charges.

Closed/Sold Kayfun Stuff(s)

I'm sure you know what you're looking at, but I'll add a little info.

All the Kayfun lite stuff is probably from '14 as the date at the base indicates. I went through my Kayfun phase all those years ago, then I just fell out of love with it. It's got everything needed to run it in full size mode & mini mode. It's got an aftermarket top cap too. If memory serves the top cap was made by reaper mods. I have no idea who made the plastic tank sections though.

Then there's the Kayfun 5. I never fell in love with this one at all. I tried, but it didn't take. A little too fiddly to me. I know it's not terribly fiddly, but for me it was.

None of the stuff is in pristine condition. But it's all in perfectly usable condition. No major defects on anything. It's all been ultrasonically cleaned, but only with warm water. You might do well to give it all a more thorough cleaning. It's just be like me when I buy used gear. Build it, fill it, vape it. To each their own.

Price is $175 for everything. Is that high? I truly don't know. If it is, shoot me an offer, worst I can say is no. I don't really want to split it up. Simply because I hate going to the Post Office. But if you absolutely positively must have one but not the other, shoot me a message with a price offer. Again, worst I can say is no.

Thanks for lookin'!

Last night was movie night!

I watched again both of Aaron Biebert's documentary films, A Billion Lives & You Don't Know Nicotine. They're both available on ibex - https://watchibex.com. That streaming service, which has quite a few other interesting films costs $6 a month, or $5 a month if you pay for a year ($60). They also offer a 10 day 'trial', so while the docs can be watched for free, you do have to put up a payment with either PayPal or a CC so they can start charging it after 10 days..

I highly recommend everyone to watch these films, maybe again like I did last night.

Vaporesso Luxe Q Issue

Hi everyone! Im new to this amazing forum & this is my very first post! Please forgive me if I don’t do this correctly!
I just bought a Luxe Q on Oct 8, 2021 (my very first vape). It’s been great except for a yucky taste often in my new pods even when I leave the juice sitting for an hour or longer after first filling my pod. My bigger issue right now though is the charging light is staying blue. I’ve had it charging forever & it’s staying blue. Has anyone else had this problem? I’ve tried 2 chargers. It blinks red a few times, then green a few times & then no light at all until I take a pull on it. Then the light is blue & it won’t turn green anymore. Today is the first day this has happened to me. Anyone know what’s wrong & how to fix this? Is it garbage? It’s only Dec 18, 2021, I would think it should still work after only having it for roughly 2.5 months & Im not an extremely heavy user! Any help is greatly appreciated! I purchased a different brand vape because I was worried the Luxe Q is going to stop working & I don’t want to go back to smoking cigarettes!

My Thinking

My thinking is if the FDA tells Julies it's okay, and then all these vape shops are still selling, then why can't we purchase nicotine for DYI? It makes no sense to me. Do you think this crazy war will be over with in about 1 year so all DYI's can go back making their own juice?
Maybe us vapors should start talking about taking away Alcoholic drink, as compared to driving and drinking and driving and vaping, which is worst?

What would you say is the most reliable single 21700 mod?

Hi, I'm really sick to death of having mods die on me or start faulting within a space of a couple months.

I've had 2 Aug vapes foxy ones that both decided to not read my tanks. I've had inkon kroma R that the gravity style battery door got stopped connecting and it was never the same.

I did have a pico as well which to be fair lasted a year before it stopped liking batteries.

I just wana know what in your experience is the most reliable mod brand /ideally a single 21700.

I use the same mod day in and day out and its vital I have something reliable even if its a bit more expensive.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Packaging is the standard box in a sleeve, opening the box reveals the tank with the short drip tip that has a slightly larger bore installed and the spare glass tube sitting in their own cutout spot on the foam cover. Underneath is a box containing all your extra O-rings, extra screws, tri-tool, Allen wrench, 2 pieces of shoelace cotton, 2 extra steel cables, 2nd drip tip, 6 airflow inserts, 2 Ni80 2.5 mm 1Ω coils and your user manual.

I must point out that this is a tall tank compared to what I'm used to using and the 2nd included drip tip raises it a bit more if you use it and for most of my review it was what I used.

Looking over everything that's included Vapefly really took care of their customers. The airflow inserts give a great MTL range of choices, you should install a insert, put the top cap back on and just try the airflow without installing a coil to make sure your happy with the insert you installed because once a coil is installed you can't switch inserts with it on, the airflow hole must be free and clear of obstructions to install a new insert. Inserts are just screwed in using a flat head screwdriver.

obzor-Vapefly-Brunhilde-MTL-RTA-review005.jpg

20211212_083720.jpg

Pulling the top cap off reveals how simplistic the RTA is, using 2 steel cables that transport the juice inside the tank from bottom to top like a Genesis styled device of the past. I like to raise the steel cables up just to where there breaking the plane of the wick wells that they sit in. The center airflow hole is where the airflow inserts are screwed in to place, you don't have to use the airflow inserts but what's the point of that, just another option for you.

20211213_130839 (1).jpg

3 things to point out here, the sloping post help when installing coil legs also trimming or cutting the coil legs is made very easy with the open space to get your cutter in deep. This picture shows the airflow intake hole that can be closed down some using the top cap when in place to do so, you wont get a huge difference so pick the right airflow insert that comes closest to your liking. The protective cage even has the Brunhilde helmet on it.

20211213_133149.jpg

Turning the tank 180 degrees brings you to the small fill port that will accept a 100 ml gorilla bottle just barely, do not try to use a glass dripper to fill because you will end up with a large mess on your hands. The top of the bottom portion of the tank has 3 liquid droplet symbols that designate the juice fill port, to get to either the airflow inlet hole of the juice fill port hole simply twist the top cap to line up either juice symbol or airflow. opening

20211213_132916.jpg

Either way you choose to install your coil the easy deck has you covered, the coil almost installs itself it so easy. I used one of the included coils and dry burned at 10w to burn off any oils that might be on it. The coils provided are slightly spaced and I needed no tweeking or strumming of the coil to get a even glow from the center outward when fired I chose the 1.4mm airflow insert that' shown in this picture. I was happy with my choice and even closed the airflow off just a bit for a more tailored vape that I like.

20211214_130426.jpg

Wicking this RTA is just as easy, I used one of the shoelace pieces of cotton, you may need to hold the end of the coil when inserting the cotton through the coil so you don't deform it because the fit is a bit tight. This RTA needs a lot of cotton to fill the juice wells so don't thin out the tails and make sure your tails fill the entire juice well, if you have gurgling on your draw you don't have enough cotton in the wells. When the tails are tucked in fully saturate the coil and wick tails, fill it up and give it a quick fire.

PROS

* Great Flavor

* Easy To Build On Deck

* Easy To Wick

* 5ML Tank

* 6 Airflow Inserts

* 2 Drip Tips Included

* Perfect For A SBS Mod ( TALL TANK )

CONS

* Tall Tank ( FOR SOME PEOPLE )

* Smallish Juice Fill Port

* Coil Must Be Removed To Change Airflow Insert

USING AND FINAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE BRUNHILDE RTA

Before seeing it I knew the tank was going to be a tall one so that came as no surprise but on a SBS Mod it looks like a perfect fit as with the Brunhilde SBS 100W Mod.

20211216_141342.jpg

The German 101 team did a fantastic job as they always do designing this RTA making it so user friendly to build on. There are enough choices in the airflow department that should make everyone happy.

The fill port and airflow sit 180° apart and with a simple twist of the top cap to line up the airflow hole or fill hole is simplistic and easy to operate and having 2 drip tips with slightly different bore sizes is a bonus, the German 101 team have covered all wants one could have in a RTA. Filling using a 100mm bottle tip is possible but it just fits the fill port without creating a mess, I wish it was a tad larger in diameter though.

The ease of building on the desk is one of it's strongest attributes as well as wicking this RTA, you might want to remember to yourself more cotton in the wells is better than less because the SS cables wick extremely well, I don't know if the German steel is what makes the difference but using genesis styled tanks in the past they never wicked as well as the Brunhilde does. My general rule of thumb is to fill at the half tank level using this type of atomizer using SS cables but this beast wicking keeps up so well I can run the tank bone dry almost.

The protective cage with the Brunhilde helmet really pops on the design aspect, if you some how do break the glass tube or just want to totally strip the tank down for a thorough cleaning it comes apart very easily.

vapeflybrunhildemtlrta8-550x550.jpg

As far as the flavor department goes it's a 10 out of 10, Sharp detailed taste comes through in a beautiful vape, each draw gives a vape saturated with such great flavor, a juice I've been using for a long time and know all so well has changed for the better using the Brunhilde, new flavors that I never tasted before have sprung to life using it with that juice. The Brunhilde MTL RTA is now in my personal rotation of MTL Atomizers. ( LOVE IT ).

I Would like to thank Joyi and Sourcemore for providing the Brunhilde MTL RTA for the purpose of this review, I also urge folks looking for a MTL RTA to pick one up, your taste buds will thank you.

THANK YOU

Need some help and advice picking a budget device.

Hey everyone. Recently after seeing the damage smoking has done to my belongings I've decided to stop smoking in the house and start vaping instead. I'm here to ask for some recommendations and maybe so even some advice.

I've used a vape before in the past a few times. As well as a few different devices, all being pens or pods. So I have a bit of experience luckily so I know the things I want and don't want and I'm hoping people here can point me in the right direction.

Things that are most important to me:

-- Draw feeling like a cigarette. Definitely a mouth to lung device. I've seen some pens with very wide diameter tips and I don't see that being a good option for me at all.

-- I'd prefer a pen device unless the pod device has replaceable coils rather the pods. I don't like systems that I can't refill with my own juice and even more so systems that have expensive replacement pods or coils. I'm on a really tight budget and having reasonable priced maintenance is very important to me.

-- The only other thing would be leaks. I hate getting juice on my hands when using the device or even refilling it. As far as budget, ideally I could get something for 20$ but I can give a few dollars if I need to.

As far as liquid I'll be using a bit of both nic salts and juice. Juice probably more so as it seems to be the cheaper option. Sorry about the tight budget but times are hard and I tried to think of reasonable wants in a device for my small budget.

Last thing I'll add is I do have a eGo one atomizer and about 25 to 30 replacement coils for it I received as a gift a long time ago So maybe if I can find a decent cheaper pen battery for it that would be a great option considering I'd have coils for a long time. I would like to get a different tip for it though as the metal or whatever I do not like at all.

Thanks for any responses and anyone who took the time to read this and help me out.
