FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The main box the Z1 Kit comes in slides out out from a outer sleeve, lifting the top portion off reveals the ZI . Beneath the Z1 is where all of the contents lay, Digiflavor was very generous with coils in this kit. A nice little compartment of 4 attached small boxes hold 4 coils in each compartment, coils are of different materials and Ω readings, charge cord, user manual, and other paraphernalia are underneath the Z1 also.

I wasn't prepared for what happened next and have to say in the hundred or so reviews never experienced what I found. As you can see I either received a very badly missed item from Digiflavor's QC team or a previously used item that was repackaged and sent out to me for review.

I can't say who is to blame but will tell you that the entire box was sealed in cellophane just like new. To be PO'D is a understatement. Because review items now take a very long time to arrive because of the mail bans, the Z1 had quite a lot of items ahead of it with 1 or 2 items coming in daily so I didn't get to it for some time.

The device had white material all throughout it and the drip tip had either machine oil or juice still inside the 510 connection port. Even the charge cord was filthy dirty. The display screen had a very deep scratch running down from top to bottom with a chip in the center of the screen as well.









I immediately broke the tank down and cleaned it with dawn in my ultrasonic cleaner as I do with all new Atomizers only this one received 3 baths. The Z1 device was wiped down with multiple alcohol cleaning wipes. After cleaning both the atomizer and Z1 device I let both sit for 2 days, I have no idea what the liquid or white residue was. After a couple of days I began the testing of the Z1 kit, I was hesitant to show these pictures but I only do honest reviews and felt that the readers of my reviews deserved 100% honesty from me. Now that everything has been cleaned and the negatives that I experienced have been heard lets get on with reviewing the Z1 SBS Kit .


The Z1 runs on a single 18650 battery that is loaded on the top of the device by unscrewing a cap, correct battery polarity symbols are located both inside the battery tube with a red + symbol and a negative - symbol on the battery cap as well.







The battery is spring loaded and some pressure is needed when sealing the battery cap back on, be careful not to strip the threads when screwing the cap on, always reverse screw until you hear a click to make sure you don't strip out the threads. The charge port is located on the bottom of the device so if you use it remember to remove your tank before to prevent leaking while laying the device on it's side.

I was very excited to see that the new Siren version 3 atomizer was used in the Z1 Kit because I have both previous versions of the Siren. The 1st version Siren I used for a very long time even though it suffered from leaking and weeping issues because the flavor and airflow were very good. The 2nd version was completely changed and in my opinion lost the great flavor that the fist version had but leaking and weeping issues were fixed.

I decided to dig out a old Siren Version 2 to compare them side by side and see what if any changes had been done to the version 3 Siren. The attachment of coils legs have been changed to a easier method that now use top post screws and have a little lip aiding in securing the coil legs.


The deck is pretty much the same except for the top post screws, I noticed that the center airflow platform now has less height to it than the version 2 Siren, I hoped these changes would make a difference and they have in a very positive way with flavor. You can see the changes with the Siren 3 on the left from the Siren 2 on the right. Not many changes but big improvements.





You get a choice of either using 1 dedicated airflow hole or you have the option of using multiple airflow holes, either way the airflow is smooth and extremely whisper quiet when vaping.







Digiflavor was very generous by putting 16 coils in a nice little travel kit in 4 sections complete with a keychain attached. ( VERY NICE )

I decided to use a 2mm 0.5Ω coil that is part of the supplied coils for testing, I rarely use 2mm as I prefer a 2.5 mm diameter coil. The other reason I chose this coil was I wanted to see how well the airflow holes on the deck performed on a longish coil after I spaced it out.

After dry burning the coil it read 0.52 on my Ω reader and had the same reading on 4 devices it was attached to.





Attaching the Siren to the Z1 device it showed a reading of 0.48Ω and has remained at that reading even after changing power modes multiple times. Reading the very tiny display screen is almost impossible to do but manageable squinting a bit.

I love the red bezel around the fire button, it almost looks like a led at times. The device feels very well made and has a solid feel to it. Branding is blended in on both sides of the device well, so well that you really have to look for it to find it. There is no menu, to lock the wattage press and hold the up and down buttons simultaneously, to change power modes press the fire button 3 times then use the up or down button to select your power mode.

I have seen other color versions of the Z1 and all have a rather cheap look to them as I feel mine does also, the stickers could have been done much better in my opinion. I also really hate that Digiflavor used a metal drip tip and one that is way to long as well. I quickly changed to a much shorter Delrin drip tip in the testing but included the supplied drip tip in photos so you can see what it looks like.





The important question is how does the Z1 Kit vape and I'm happy to report that it vapes really good. The device fits nicely in the hand, I ended up using my middle fingertip to fire the device and it felt comfortable doing so.

The New Siren really gives a great vape, I really didn't expect it to be as good as it is because of past versions of the Siren atomizer but this version finally got it right with great flavor and whisper quiet vaping.

There are things that I'm not crazy about with the Z1 Kit aside from the horrible beginning that I had, but there's many good things that far outweigh the not so good things.

First of all I think this kit is a great value with everything that is provided with it. It feels like a well built device that can hold up over a period of time.

@Verashu Kindly assist with my order and account. When trying to reset my account it states "The selected email is incorrect". I was given the Vandy Vape Pulse V2 from Sourcemore for the purpose of this review.





The Pulse V2 is a cool squonk mod with some unique features. It’s a bottom fill. It works with an app to find the device, and do upgrades. And it allows you to switch off modes so you don’t see them when you scroll through the menu.

The Pulse V2 can be used with a 21700, 20700, or 18650 battery, and the power out put is 5-95W, 0.5-6.0V. The bottle holds 7 ml, and it’s filled via a screw cap on the bottom of the mod.







Modes include watts, voltage, bypass, and temp control with all the usual suspects, NI, SS, TI.



The menu is easy:


Five clicks of the Power button to turn it on and off.

Power plus Up to lock/unlock the Up/Down buttons – it does not lock the fire button.

Power plus Down to flip the screen upside down. Why? Who knows. Easier to read while filling?

Three fast clicks of Power will access changing modes, then use the Up/Down buttons to scroll.

Up plus Down to access the control menu -

Function Setting allows you to turn off modes and the app

Hibernate adjusts sleep time from 2-30 minutes

Brightness (self explanatory)

Puff counter reset

Replace UI offers six colors for your screen; red, blue, green, light blue, purple, brown.

When the mod is in TC, the menu will also have the option to set the resistance.

Scroll down to Return and click Power to exit.



Vandy Vape offered no clue as to what the intended purpose of the tiny shoehorn might be, but I used it to pull the bottle out. Both the plastic ends of the bottle unscrew, and while the whole assembly slides out fairly easily, pulling it out from the top cap seems like it would be less stress on it.



So far, no leaks from the bottle assembly or the fill cap, but I do wonder how all of that will hold up. Seems like a lot of potential for trouble for very little gain.



The bottom fill cap has a pull out flap for easier opening, and the flap has a Goldilocks magnet, strong enough to keep the flap up, easy enough to pull down and keep down. Filling this way is awkward though. The cap is small, and it’s all covered in juice, so it’s not easy to sit it down without getting juice on the surface where you set it, and exposing the juice to that surface in turn. And you can’t set the mod down, either. I’ve made the mistake of taking the cap off the mod before taking the cap off the juice, and finding myself with not enough hands to do the job.







The doors have nice beefy magnets and fit beautifully. No wiggles or rattles or falling off.





The positive/negative are designated with a big white + and - .




Mine is the black obsidian color, and I really like the textured doors and murdered out aesthetic. It also comes in sky blue, flame red, and rainbow. I’ve heard there might be replacement panels available at some point, haven’t found any myself, but I would love to have some.



It’s a bit large in hand, at 82.3×28.4×54.7mm, but not huge for a 21700 mod, and not uncomfortable or awkward. The gently curved back and rounded corners make it very ergonomic, and it has a large, convenient squonk hole.






The chip offers no tweaking of TC settings, but I used it is SS and found it very satisfactory. A turn-off for those of you who enjoy customizing, but as a lazy vaper, I prefer when stuff just works and I don’t have to goof with it. I actually find all the modes work really well and I get a nice full hit that’s not too hot regardless of how I set it.



I haven’t tried it with an 18650, because if I’m going to hold a mod big enough for a 21700, that’s what I’m going to use. And the battery life has been great.



This one’s a winner for me.

Hey guys. I recently got a voopoo vmate from a friend and changed the pod because the coil was burnt and the vape didn’t seem to be working right because of this. Upon changing the pod, the vape only occasionally hits and for a couple seconds before cutting off. The light then flashes red before flashing white after and continues to flash white. I have made sure the vape is fully charged, made sure there’s no liquid inside that leaked out, and it’s full of juice. Anyone able to help?

I needed to change out the bottle on my VV pluse 2 from the black one to the white one. Black one is hard for me to see the juice level. Problem is now I can’t get either one back on the part with the tube on it. Has anyone ever change the bottle out and if so how did you get the top piece on the silicone sleeve? I hate to think I just broke my favorite squonk mod.

Anyone know if the aegis max has a factory screen protector already installed??
I don't want to try peel it if there is one and i can't really see if there is one applied on it

First impressions:
The box the little device comes in is huge and I think it's a useless waste of material. However, what I received is a sample and the packaging is not the final one that will be placed on the market in large numbers by Geekvape.
Having overcome this embarrassment, I begin to evaluate Aegis Nano. I am immediately pleased to note that the characteristics common to other Aegis have been maintained, in particular the IP67 Tri-Proof specification.
This means that Aegis Nano is resistant to water, dust and shocks. Continuing to observe it I see that they are present; a bright, fairly large single-color display, the AFC adjustment, a single Fire button with different functions, the Type-C refill and finally the refilled cartridge from the top that seems to be well made.
The materials used for the production of this All-In-One Kit are therefore of good quality and the form factor is directly inspired by the Aegis family, such as the stunning Aegis Max 100W pictured below.
Speaking of appearance; I like the Aegis Nano a lot and although I prefer the classic drip-tips over the "pod-style mouthpieces" I must say that this is aesthetically very convincing on the device.
Aegis Nano with its sinuous curves appears overall very harmonious in its proportions.



Portability:
Made of durable zinc alloy, Aegis Nano is extremely compact and portable. The device is incredibly small. Its dimensions are comparable to those of a lighter, the weight of the kit is about 100g.
Aegis Nano gives a very pleasant tactile feedback. The soft rubber on the edges, the smooth zinc alloy frame and the silky leatherette insert create an excellent mix of materials between them.



Side view:
The drip-tip is marked with 3 protruding lines that indicate the point on which to press to remove it from the cartridge. The central protection in hard zinc alloy is screwed to the Mod by means of 2 Torx screws and is on one side bordering the shockproof rubber and on the other with the imitation leather camouflage insert.
The Fire key is the same color as the rubber it is placed on and has 3 decorative lines on it. On one side, the word "Nano" appears at the bottom, on the other side "Aegis".



Front and back view:
The dark color screen occupies most of the front section and incorporates a 0.69 "monochrome display, reading is facilitated by enlarged and bright fonts.
On the display we can read this information; battery charge status, selected power, resistive value, Volt and puff counter.
At the top there are two small square holes on which the lanyard with chain (supplied) can be applied to wear the Aegis Nano around the neck.
On the back the zinc alloy grille embraces the camouflage insert in a harmonious way as on all Aegis. At the top is the AFC adjustment with a practical metal slider.

Incidentally, the old coils were in there for 8 months, although this unit is in rotation, so maybe a months worth of actual use.

Also, the top cap was just about impossible to remove from the tube. I had to insert a chap stick into it and slam it on the desk for it to come off.

This is the 521 mini V2 that will meter or fire a coil. There's a 3-way switch, with off in the middle.
I was sure that it was turned off, but in handling the kit bag, the switch must have been pushed and turned on. Even with no atty on the tester, it completely drained an 18650 battery.

This was confirmed on a multi-meter. 0 volts.
I know that this battery is done, but it's interesting that my charger completely ignored it.

Based on this, I'd recommend not storing the tester with a battery in it. It probably already says that in the instructions. Maybe there's one person out there that didn't know this already, so here it is.
