These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
This cell is a great performer and its 10A rating seems reasonable. Its capacity rating is a bit exaggerated though. It performs a little better than the Sanyo NCR18650GA down to about 3.0V. If you are running down to a lower voltage than that the NCR18650GA might run for a bit longer.

The Vapcell F34 and Sanyo NCR18650GA run at about the same temperature. I do not know how this Vapcell’s cycle life compares to the long-lasting Sanyo NCR18650GA.

The 20A max rating is undefined and useless, ignore it.

The two cells I tested delivered 3348mAh and 3352mAh. This is great consistency but is below this cell’s 3400mAh rating. Since I cannot have the lowest capacity cells in the batch I am rating these 3300mAh.

Hi,

I have been using Samsung 25 flat tops and AW button tops. They are about 4 years old now and still seem to be ok but I would like to replace them.

Unfortunately there is very little availability. I actually need button top batteries now and I can't find any high discharge ones.

I am an old school vaper using a protank4, vaping at max 23 watts on a .5 to .6 ohm coil with a single 18650, so it's a pretty tame setup.

Can I use one of the high capacity low drain batteries?

Can someone throw at a few battery models that would suit my needs so I can see if I can find them?

FreeMax Marvos 60W First impressions:
For this test I got the Gunmetal version of Marvos 60W, it is an All in One Tri-Proof IP67 device (the first of FreeMax with these features). So FreeMax Marvos 60W boasts qualities of resistance to dust, shocks and water. The paint appears sturdy with good quality finishes, the display is beautifully colored, very bright and with enlarged and clearly legible fonts.

I was pleased to find on this device the effective adjustable bilateral AFC already seen on Marvos T80 together with the Pod-Tank with replaceable Drip-Tip 810. Also available separately is a valuable Pod-Tank entirely made of Pyrex glass which can guarantee a better aromatic perception of the liquids it contains.
FreeMax claims the "Glass Pod Tank" option was the first in the world to be made available on the market.

Having had previous and positive test experiences with the various Fireluke Tanks installed on the "technologicals" Mod Maxus (50-100-200W) and with the previous All In One Marvos T80 kit, I am very confident also for this new product.



FreeMax Marvos 60W Feeling:
The dimensions of this kit are not particularly small, but this is normal because you have to take into account the IP67 coating and its thick armor. However, the handling is really good thanks to an octagonal shape that is not excessively elongated, the grip is comfortable and ergonomic. The weight is contained in just 129g thanks to the construction of the frame in light aluminum alloy. Liquid silicone rubber (as it is defined) is of the "soft" type but not too much as the name would suggest. Marvos transmits a good texture and a good grip thanks to this material and the numerous engravings on its surface.



FreeMax Marvos 60W Front / Rear View:
The completely transparent Pod is quite bulky but in the overall view the device appears well proportioned.

Going down (from above) on the front side we see the small and unobtrusive wording "FreeMax". The Fire key is slightly protruding and seems to be made of plastic material, however it does not produce any annoying noise it is precise and easy to click.

The screen and the "Up and Down" adjustment buttons are immersed in "liquid silicone". The display shows all the information useful for vaping; graphic level of residual charge, set mode, set power, adjustment lock / unlock symbol (padlock), Volt, Ohm, puff counter, duration of the last puff and indication of the 5 background colors available for the display.
The underlying USB-C port is protected by a sturdy cap for its waterproofness.

In the upper part of the rear area there is the two-way AFC control mechanism. The knob protrudes and is made of sturdy metal, its excursion guarantees a precise adjustment that remains firm in the chosen position. Below we find the inscription Marvos above a satin plate with pleasant bronze reflections.



FreeMax Marvos 60W Side View:
On the side Marvos is almost completely covered and protected. The "liquid silicone" is engraved with five ergonomic grooves on each side and is delimited by border lines of a brighter color.
The two opposing slots for the passage of air towards the coil are completely partializable for the RDL / DL vape and measure 11x3mm each.

So I have been vaping since 2010, and still use my original REO's with a RBA. Hello again. Today I’ll be taking a look at the Freemax Onnix 2 pod system that was sent to me by Freemax for the purpose of providing a fair and honest review. I never had the opportunity to try the original Onnix so can’t really compare them very much. I do know that the original Onnix had a 20w output while the Onnix 2 has a 15w output. I believe that the original was targeted at RDL while the 2 is targeted at MTL. I guess it depends on what kind of airflow you like on MTL. Before I get too far into it, let’s see what’s included and take a look at some pictures provided by Freemax.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

When I opened the package of the Onnix 2, I was rather excited to have received the blue version. After all, blue is my favorite color. The grid of lines on it remind me of a printed circuit board or something like that.

On the face of the unit is the FreeMax name in white and a single fire button. On each side it is just a solid color with a single airflow hole on each side. On the back is simply the name ONNIX 2 in white. The USB-C charging port is on the bottom and of course the magnetic pod with replaceable coil is inserted in the top. The two magnets that hold the pod in place are fairly strong and once close enough will pull the pod in the rest of the way by themselves.












The Onnix 2 comes with a single pod but two coils. The .8 ohm coil is pre-installed but has a sticker over the bottom so you don’t accidentally fire it before filling the pod. The other coil that comes included is a 1.0 ohm coil. There are also two other coils available but not included in the kit. There is a .5 ohm mesh coil and a 1.2 ohm coil. From what I understand, the .5 coil is not compatible with the Onnix 2 but will work with the original. The Onnix uses what Freemax is calling the OX series coils. From what I understand, the OX coils can be used on the original Onnix as well as the Onnix 2.


The pod itself is almost clear which I very much appreciate. I’ve been using the Onnix 2 at work with a clear liquid. I can even see the blue o rings clearly through the pod. The pod holds 2ml of liquid which seems pretty standard compared to other pod devices of this size that I have tried. The plug that covers the fill hole has Freemax stamped in it and can be rotated out of the way for filling but is easy enough to hold while filling. One nice thing about this one is that the plug is not just a rectangular piece but has a lip that comes down toward the bottom of the pod that makes it easier to get ahold of. I appreciate that. Some pods I’ve tried, I’ve had to grab a small screwdriver to pop up the fill plug because I simply can’t grab them to remove.










The Onnix 2 comes with a film covering over it that peels right off for use. I suppose it’s to protect the finish in shipping. The battery portion of the Onnix 2 can be used in auto draw or press to fire. Five clicks of the fire button turns the device on. Three clicks of the fire button will disable the fire button and work in auto draw only. That’s pretty much it since there isn’t a screen with menu or anything. It does have a blue light on the bottom and three light indicators towards the bottom of the side with the button that indicate battery level. The blue light is illuminated when firing and afterwards the battery indicator(s) light depending on the level of the battery. One light indicates 0-35% battery, two lights indicates 36-70% battery, and three lights indicate 71-100% battery.






FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have enjoyed testing the Onnix 2 and plan on putting it in rotation with my other work pod the XROS. I need a pocket friendly device that will sit in my front shirt pocket without being noticed but yet provide a strong enough vapor to satisfy me. I of course will need to get some spare coils and maybe a pod or two for back up. So far I have been using it with a clear mint liquid at work for about a week and have noticed no reduction in performance.

Freemax says that it auto senses the coil resistance. I’m not sure exactly how that works but would say that it does. The Onnix 2 has a 900mah battery which is plenty for a device like this. It fully charges in about 60 minutes. The 7-15 watt output gives a nice strong vape in my opinion. It can vary depending on the coil used and the remaining battery level. I know they say that it is targeted at MTL vaping but with the .8 coil it is a pretty loose MTL. Those that like a tighter draw may not like it. The Onnix 2 does not have airflow control and perhaps that would have made it appeal to more people. I was a little concerned about how well the auto draw would work with such a loose airflow but it has been working well for me. I have run into one or two before where the auto draw doesn’t work well until you tighten the airflow control but this one doesn’t have it and doesn’t need it. However, if you put a finger over one of the airflow holes on the side it will considerably tighten the draw. I personally prefer a loose MTL. The 1.0 ohm coil has a little more restricted airflow and doesn’t seem as warm. I really prefer the 1.0 ohm coil over the .8 coil so will probably go ahead and get some spare 1.0 coils for back up.

In my opinion, the Freemax Onnix 2 is one of the better small pod devices that I have had the pleasure of testing. It’s a nice size for carrying in a shirt pocket which I plan on doing.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find these basic infos easily anywhere, so here it goes:

1. My top cap and tank are extremely tight, so I have a hard time everytime I need to pop it open, be it for adding more juice or to fiddle with the build inside the atomizer. Is there any way to lubricate it or something so that it'll slide open more easily?
2. I've been using the Gen S kit atomizer, with coilheads, and I've noticed a huge difference in the ramp up time when switching through to my new Creed RTA. Now everytime I take a puff, it starts with almost no flavor and suddenly it gets too hot for me to vape. I can't seem to find a sweet spot. Tried higher wattages but it just gets really hot really fast. Back to the coilheads, I can drag for like 5 seconds without a hassle. Now it's just too intense or not intense at all. Like it's 0 to 30% power in 10 seconds and then 30 to 100% in 1 second.
3. I'm really new to this, so I would appreciate any suggestions on coils/builds. I'm using dual coils on a Gen S mod, set on pulse mode, trying to vape at 65 - 80W.

Hey guys. Have you used the Era MTL RTA by Auguse before? Today let's look at their Era Pro RTA which is said to be better than the previous Era MTL. Here we go!
