Today I have the new Geyser V1.5 for review. V1.5 sounds a bit weird as its like not a full upgrade of the original Geyser, and it is exactly not. The only difference between the original Geyser is the pod and pod-lock mechanism. A new dual mesh coil has been released with the V1.5
This pod-mod is special because it’s 21700 external battery, has dual airflow control and a new dual coil. Also the materials used to make this pod are unique, Aerospace grade Magnesium Alloy.

Review:
Let me be straight to the point with the device. It is for me the best crafted pod-mod
device out there. The materials used make this pod-mod unique, the Aerospace grade Magnesium Alloy makes this device feel very solid and extremely light. It lays very well in the hand and the thumb fire on this thing is so comfortable, not so much an index fire device though. For those that want to carry it around on a land-yard, it has a connection point on the top of the device. For me it was not necessary to add that connection point as the device is a bit too big to carry on a land-yard in my opinion.
Also, the device has a very unique look because of the form factor of the device, it is not your regular pod-mod shape let’s say. On the back of the device is the battery-door that is made out of plastic. It slights down and uncovers the battery compartment. Great news is that it takes a 21700 and still is very light. For those that don’t have 21700 batteries the 18650 adapter comes in handy. + and – are clearly marked in red and blue. Once the battery clicks into place you slide back the battery door till it clicks into place, no rattle nor loose battery door on the Geyser.
Fire-button is integrated into the top of the device and clicks very nicely. On the bottom of the device you find the up and down button, which also react well.
A very nice vibrant looking UI that has plenty of modes. Wattage, TC (Ni, SS, Ti, Tcr), VPC (curve) and Bypass. For the time being TC is kind of useless aa the couls are Kanthal and there is no adapter or RDTA available yet. Simple control of the device:
- 5 clicks on/off
- 3 clicks to activate mode switching, up or down to select
- Firebutton and up or down to adjust screen brightness
- 3 clicks to activate mode switching, firebutton to select puff and plus to reset.
As said main difference with the original Geyser is the pod. Before it had a very well thought of system which was just not executed right, some people had leaking issues because of that system. Before it had a top fill that was unclicked with a push on the button on top of the pod, but the top-fill was not properly sealed and caused leaking for some.
Now the device got rid of that system and top-fill. Now it has side-fill, a rubber plug can be easily pulled from the side, but for me it is quite hard to get it back in for some reason. Another issue with this pod is that you cannot see the liquid level at all, not able to see how far I filled. Also when the pod is onto the device it is impossible to see the liquid level, very annoying. Capacity of 5ml does help, but still.
Pod clicks strongly into place and can be released by pulling the top lever backwards. I have not experienced any leaking on this device, which is an improvement compared to the original Geyser.
On the sides of the pod you have a very interesting airflow system with honeycomb entering the pod from both sides. You can also adjust the airflow on both sides for precise fine tuning. It is not noisy, but also not smooth, a bit on the turbulent side but not annoying me. In the kit you get a torx screwdriver to unscrew the airflow disks and replace them by others which are not included on the kit, but are available for purchase.
Drip-tip looks like 810, but seems its minimally bigger, not able to use any of my other drip-tips which is kind of a bummer. Drip-tip that comes preinstalled is comfortable. No additional drip-tip has been included so you must make the best of it with the one drip-tip it comes with.
Now the coils, a single and dual mesh. These coils are massive for a pod-mod, much larger than most sub-ohm coils as well. They press fit into the pod with no issues. Getting out those coils can be hard without the included tool.
To finish this review with some positivity, these coils are just fantastic. Flavor is very good, and clouds are very dense, no issues with chain vaping as they keep up well. The dual mesh for me is the winner here providing crisper flavor and extremely large clouds for a pod-mod, very impressive. Single mesh also performs great, but delivers a slightly less dense cloud.
Conclusion:
A fantastic device with fantastic coils but a bit disappointing pod. Reason for it being disappointing is mainly due fill method and the fact that when the pod is inserted you cannot see the liquid level.
Device is just great, super light-weight, 21700 compatible and a very nice properly working UI. I hope to see a RDTA and adapter for this pod-mod. The device itself is for sure one of my personal favorites, the build quality and used materials are outstanding.
This pod-mod is for flavor and clouds, these coils will not disappoint anyone, I am sure about that.
Things to improve:
- Should be easier to close the fill-port after filling
- Ability to see liquid level
- Replaceable drip-tip
VapX for me is one of those new-comers that is worth to follow, their devices so far are of very good build-quality and vape-quality. I am curious what VapX will come with next time.
