Dr Farsalinos requests funding for a comprehensive study of a large sample of retail e-liquids. ECF has donated to this study. Please see the details here:
Indiegogo funding for Farsalinos study
We think this will be a valuable study given the large sample size and the mystery buyer testing of finished retail products. The target is 100 products tested, and additional funds will mean that more samples can be analysed.

Update January 23rd
The funding total has already reached $29,000 in total, both by the Indiegogo route and by private donations that required an alternative routing for currency conversion or banking reasons ($11,000 in non-Indiegogo donations are reported).
Therefore the funding total has been exceeded already. However it is likely that additional funds can be used for testing more samples, as each test is expensive (several hundred dollars is usually quoted for a comprehensive analysis of a single sample).
Even so it seems likely that funding will reach a considerable total since the appeal has only just opened - perhaps even double the target amount is possible. This is very welcome as it shows how well-supported e-cigarette research is now.
We may consider suggesting to Dr Farsalinos that he arrange trustees to hold any funds not assigned to this study, with the aim of supporting future research of his and reporting back on how the funds are applied. We are happy to support his research, of whatever type and whenever it is scheduled, since he is one of the principal scientists providing honest research in this area.
