@Mactavish , If you posted this already, please forgive me. I do read every post, but old age sucks... May I ask where you got the brushed silver Pico?

Edit: oops, @Baseman

No problem, I got mine here:

iStick Pico Kit by Eleaf $29.99

I just checked, it now looks like $39, for the full kit with tank. Since I got it when they sent me the "in stock" email the same day for $28, I thought it was a mistake, as I previously paid $39, for my first two Pico's. I didn't want any more Melo tanks, and didn't want to pay extra for them. I got "lucky" I guess, though as I said it's not a very flavorful tank in my opinion anyways. Get the mod only and use your favorite tank!

FORGOT TO ADD: This is one of many sites that list it as "stainless steel", when Eleaf calls it "BRUSHED SILVER", forcing me to have extra writing! DUH

I have 2, a grey and the regular black. Got one from Rocky Mountain, 2nd from Fasttech. Mod only, I have no reason for another style of tank. I am happy with my Kayfuns and Subtank minis. I have spare parts for both and normally build above 1 ohm. With the regs coming, I am prepared.

Thanks! I love that brushed silver.

I assume that's the SS version!?
Are top/bottom plate and battery cap made of SS too?

I can't really tell what the metal is, but before I opened mine, I noticed the add on box sticker say "BRUSHED SILVER". I thought they sent the wrong one. But looking at the Eleaf site, that's exactly what they call it. So I assume sellers are the ones that started using the words "stainless steel", and it has that "look", though I doubt it is SS, or Eleaf would advertise it that way. And if SS is more expensive, then it's definitely not.

The top and bottom plates of the silver brushed are the same as the other picos (nickel-plated?). The body also is still aluminum, with a SS look-a-like coating -- I would say exactly the same as the Cuboid & Cuboid Mini and the Wismec Vapor Flasks Stout/Lite Brushed versions.

Example (Vapor Flask Stout):

I don't use the melo that came with my kit too much, the flavor is lacking imo. Though I did use it the first week or two I had it and a few times with the ecr head to see if I could "fix" the flavor. The times I did use it I only had it leak on me once. That was shortly after filling so it may have been operator error, but half of my tank ended up all over my mod and table.

My first instinct was to get just the mod, but the it's only ten bucks won when I was ordering. I have a second pico on the way where I'm only getting the mod. YMMV.

Any lack of flavor is the fault of the Eleaf EC coils that come with the kit. The M3M is actually a brilliant little tank. Try it with Vaporesso Ccell or Triton Clapton coils. ;)

I have a peculiar problem with my iStick Pico using an LG HG2 purchased from VapeNW. It does not seem to deliver the same power as my trusty iStick 30 watts. I can best describe the vape as gurgled. Increasing the power on the Pico helps a bit, but the vape is still not as smooth. I am plain kanthal at 1 ohm, not temp control involved. Could it be a fake LG - or is it possible the problem is with the Pico?

Does it state the correct resistance? What tank are you using?

Do you have a different battery to try?

Try a different atomizer and see if it performs normally. Something that can cause weak performance is when the center pins aren't making good contact because the atomizer isn't snug in the threading or because the center pin on the atomizer is a tiny bit too short and barely makes contact.

A true stainless version of the pico would look gorgeous but weigh a ton. At the end of the day I'm a practical vaper. The pico is my favorite because of the form factor. Figuring out that configuration was a coup.
