I have a black and wooden already, just ordered a silver and red to complete the set.
I guess you can say I like this mod.
The wooden one. Does it look like the first one or the second?

Got one here & highly recommend! Nice sold, well crafted & damn good looking finish.
hey when you get a chance with your sdna 75, can you plug into escribe/device monitor with board temp checked. then fire the device at anything above 50-60 watts. on mine the board temp climbs crazy high and fast running the 75 at it's upper limits. i've even got the "too hot" error a few times. just wondering if this is just mine or not.
took mine apart to find smy used a very large piece of double sided foam tape for the screen mount that covers about 70% of the board. thinking the foam is hindering heat dissipation.......

So far on the SDNA75 I have just been pushing a stupid little Cubis tank I bought at same time for $11.20 & stuck a notch coil in since I got it (surprisingly good flavor for such a crap tank/stock coil combo). For me to push at upper limits I'm gonna have to get some time to sit down and coil & wick up some Aromamizers I've been neglecting lately.

I'll let you know but I thought most of heat was generated on other side of board. 80% of board does seem a bit excessive though. Did you trim away some of the excess? Did it improve?

My first SMYs (arrive tomorrow) so I have to ask...

Are the case thermals factory populated... properly?

Atmizer... did you run the analyzer yourself? (are the heat/cool constants good?)

If the first answer is "no"... can we get a good set posted for others to use? :D

In Device Monitor what was your Room Temperature and Board Temperature running when it was crazy high?

The mod was setup by DJLsb. All your answers are here:

Thanks, I forgot about Daniel's involvement.
Certainly should mean it's good to go out of the box (except for his 316-centric profiles). ;)

Yeah, there was a lot of work customizing it to my liking, leaving only his thermals. What was good was I could open my DNA200 settings independently, separate window, and duplicate most of my preferred settings from that info. Once it was done, then it's good to go.

true the actual converter circuitry (inductor, mosfets etc) are on the back, like you said. smy has the MCU, gate driver, LDO's and other heat generating components completely covered by the foam tape. if i can i will update this post with a pic of the front side of the board.

right now, device mon is saying room temp is 76°. it's close, it's actually about 73-74°.

here is a Yun RDA with dual staple staggered fused clapton (those geek vape premade ones) 1 puff at 75w .098 ohms. towards the end of the vape (board temp 192°F) the too hot error popped up. you can tell when i let go of the fire button, the temp starts to drop.

i don't use this build on any of my dna 75's. i'm just using it to show you guys. this build stays on top of my relo with a heat sink 510 adapter. running at 190w.

Just about what I expect to do.
If it were a 133 or 200, I could understand having five separate 316 profiles to cover the wattage range... presuming one regularly used such a range of builds. With just 75w... not so much.

I only skimmed his short intro vid from May (?) a couple days ago so he may have some pre-heat tricks up his sleeve... I'll find out tomorrow. :)

Plus I have a variety of 430 gauges and some 316 Clapton on the way so they'll get profiles too.
