Running a bachelor nano with an MTL kit. Running a 0.9 Ohm coil, SS 316L. 210 C on TC normal. Now how can I change wattage, or is that not required on these like they are on Joyetech mods?

I am basically trying to get it to heat up a bit more.

Within each pre-set "profile" you can change the wattage and temp on the mod, but adjusting the "pre-heat" punch for each can only be done within the EScribe software.

Read that manual Steve linked to first, it's short.
Don't worry, if the server stops glitching... you'll be a pro by dinnertime. :)

Save the initial settings to a filename you choose w/ File>Save As - then you can change anything you want and always reload the stock setting if you screw up.

If you are in Temperature Dominate Mode (Temperature is on the big display). You first lock the mod (5 clicks on the power button, the DNA75 might be 3), then hold down the + and - button down for 2 seconds (iirc) to get into the wattage adjust screen.

PS Temperature controls how hot the vape will be. Wattage and preheat controls how fast it gets there.

Wattage & preheat watts will limit the max available power, as will temp, both need to be high enough. The preheat punch is how close it gets to the temp before stopping preheat, 0 = within 160 F to 11 = within 10 F. I always have punch at 11 and time at 2 seconds, YMMV.

Where were you guys yesterday? I wanted to change my wattage in TC dominate mode, and couldn't remember. It's NOT in that data sheet PDF. Google search wasn't helping, finally found it someplace.

For new folks, pick a profile that is un-used and set it up for your metal of choice then tweak one thing at a time in escribe, keep it connected, upload settings, bring up device monitor and vape. Rinse and repeat. Particularly paying attention to pre-heat wattage and punch.

Try being a temp vaper...set your watts to max and control only with temp.

Try being a wattage vaper....set your temp at a max and vary your watts.

Find what you like.

Personally...I have everything on max watts, and vary the temp with temp dominant profiles.

I also use SS430 after trying NiFe, Ni200, Ti and other SS.

I'm kinda bummed - found out Escribe is PC only and I've always been Mac. :(

Hopefully the SMY will suit my purposes out of the box...waiting on reviews. Size-wise it's perfect.

Run Windows in a PC emulator. My tower is so old, I can't update it beyond Snow Leopard. But I run Parallels, and Windows XP, with no issue. There are other options you can research. Evolv talked about a Mac version in the first quarter of this year. Now with all of vaping under siege, I doubt we'll ever see a true Mac version. Evolv may end up in a different business if they survive. Or just supply to other countries that are not controlled by the FDA!

I've only got 512 gb of solid state storage in my laptop, so I'm unwilling to devote a portion of that to a Windows partition. My nephew tried to set up a Windows partition for gaming purposes in an external drive for me but was unsuccessful in his attempt. (Yeah, I'm an old gamer...started way back with "Ancient Art of War" on a 2nd generation Macintosh, but pretty much shifted over to Xbox a few years ago.)

Thanks for the suggestions, though. Worse comes to worst, I could get my brother to run it for me on one of his Windows machines, though, and he's only a few minutes away.

i got a cheap tablet off of Ft for under $100 about a year ago. the Chuwi Hi8 with windows 10. i got it just for the purposes of a portable escribe and some internet..............stuff. still does the job just fine.
depending on the size of the screen, adjusting or selecting certain things in escribe can be sucky.

if you shop around there are dirt cheap windows tablets out there.
