Part two......
So after putting the coil together, It was time to check the ohms. ( note: looking down the hole, you can see that the coil got a bit out of line when installing the pin. I simply fixed this by rotating the insulator plug and pin.)
Next up is the wicking. I cut and rolled a length of KCD and rolled to a fine point at one end. Since the coils to be used are spaced, I wasn't overly concerned about using too a bit too much and thus the possibility of receiving dry hits. In fact, I rolled so that it would go through the juice ports and through the coil fairly snug but not overly tight. Once it was through, I tucked some of the wicking onto the body of the OCC to bunch it up a bit against the two sides of the coil as to help prevent any flooding and then trimmed it up to the holes. ( note again: the other side of the OCC has already been tucked and trimmed)
And there you have it loaded with Got Cookie wide open at 18 watts
The funny part of this whole deal is that it took me longer to put this damn post together than it did to re-build and fire the SubTank itself!
