In actual fact, since becoming vegan about 15 months ago, my wife (who's always been a fantastic cook) has sourced and developed about two dozen wickedly delicious recipes that would change your perspective on meat, dairy, eggs, etc. Suffering, it isn't. I can even stare bacon in the eye and walk away (much to the bacon's surprise).
Lost weight, lower cholesterol, and lower blood sugar are the happy result. vaping got my other vitals (BP, O2 levels, etc) in check. Honestly the best health I've been in since I was in my 20's.
oh having to cut out bacon is just wrong! I will happily indulge in extra bacon just for you!

I know, right? I would have lost a bet a year ago as to whether or not I'd happily go without it.
I have a coworker who's 'vegan+' - a vegan diet plus bacon. Such is the lure of pork fat, salt, and smoke.
lol I love it! I'm a bacon fanatic. I have a great love for the Jewish people, but so glad I'm not. Hope they have a fantastic reward in heaven for having to go through life without bacon

Once in a blue moon, I'll have some chicken bacon as I stopped eating pork and red meat 35 plus years ago. But gotta say that bacon is such a thing now. We have a 5&10 (variety store for the younger folks) and anything bacon-related sells like crazy (bacon band-aids, lollipops, air fresheners, soap, magnets, pins, etc etc). Other than the satisfying taste, I wonder if the sound and scent of bacon cooking infiltrates our very souls?? Is it the memory of these things from our childhoods that keep us yearning for more?? I just find it to be an interesting subject and grateful for the sales
