When I filled out my rx200 questionaire I said to make a 2 battery version with an egrip type 10ml tank in place of the 3rd battery. Not quite what I described but close enough!

Not seeing it on their site. Can you fit a 6ml aromamizer in there?

One Instagram Post is all I can find. Elastic drip tip comes with the mod? They just stuck a rubber hose on it? Buttons are Ugly as hell and way too many holes with that whole basket weave back cover. What chipset? SX based I assume? Don't imagine Wismec will be pleased when they see this one.

Wondering if anyone else had the same issue I'm having... I've had my RX200 for a couple months now, I seem to have an intermittent problem that I can't find a solution for. Once in a while when I hit the fire button, after the mod has been sitting idle for a few, nothing happens, it doesn't fire. I look at the display and when it comes on it shows the battery empty, then it automatically switches to the correct battery level. This happens regardless if the batteries are full or not, and happened with three different sets of Samsung 25r. It first did it with an older set I had, so I bought two brand new sets thinking it was the older batteries, but still had the same problem. Other than that the battery works great! I have not upgraded to the latest firmware, but have done a couple of upgrades since getting the mod hoping it will resolve it, but no luck.

Any idea?

Vapin,

That sounds like the loose ground screw problem a lot of folks had back about the time you bought yours. It is an easy fix just tighten the screw in the battery sled.

I won't go into the hows and why but if you search it hear and probably even YouTube you'll fond your answer.

Thanks! I found the screw under the foam plug, it was already pretty tight, I loosened it and tightened it again, let's see if it makes a difference.

I knew it was covered by something but didn't want to say anything and send you off on a wild goose chase.

I'll keep my finger crossed that just jiggling the connection will solve you problem.

How well do your batteries discharge in the rx200? My co worker has one and it seems his batteries tend to discharge at different rates, as in one will be 80%, and the others will be much lower, around 40+\-% when he plugs them into the charger. I'm really interested in this mod but that seems odd to me. Might just be over thinking it, just wouldn't want to discharge the batteries too much. Thanks

I don't see how that could happen without the RX200 posting a batter alarm about the imbalance. The RX200 uses balanced charge detection and will alarm at I believe a variation of 0.3 volts.

Well anything could have a defect, as that does not seem right.
I would ask if they have updated the firmware, as well as what batteries are being used. Lower grade batts could cause an issue. Could also be a dirty battery contact.
Just spitballing for ideas.

My batteries are always different by about .2v max! There is always a pair that is exactly the same & 1 that is lower! They never seem to go below like 3.3v even when I use them until the RX stops firing (which I seldom do).

I had a unit that did that as well. I posted about it around page 50 of this thread.

The way to check is to turn the device off by pressing the power button 5 times. Then press and hold the power and down button together for 5 seconds. Your individual cell readings will then show up briefly on the screen.

My local shop swapped my defective unit out for a properly working unit.

Hmm. I'd recommend downloading a live repair/recovery/utility CD such as one of the older Hiren's Boot CDs and use the Mini XP distro that is built inside the disc. Fire up the networking application, jump on the web, download the update, and get to flashing.

Or you could download/install vmware player and create a virtual XP install so that you can easily fire it up if you need to do something that is absolutely Windows specific.

I exclusively use Ubuntu on my home computer(s) and have a virtual XP install just for these tasks.
