Here's another example of our illustrious FDA and the exemplary job they do as our supposed safety watchdog.

This is nothing to do with ecigarettes per se, however, I believe it shows how the FDA favors certain companies and their financial bottom line.

One Thousand Lives A Month - 60 Minutes - CBS News

I've done research on the FDA before, they are completely corrupt and have more to do with stamping out the competition for big business and enabling big business at the expense of our health and welfare than anything else.

Disban the FDA NOW!

what's intersting about this story is that the FDA approved this drug and clinical studies were still being done AFTER. Obviously, there were complaints about the drug.

five years and no complaints about e-cigs, yet they can't give them conditional approval for use while more studies are done.

Serious double standards.

Yes, doctors noticed their patients were suffering from kidney/renal failure, one dr. said 23 out of I think, 30 patients he used this drug on in his own little trial were affected this way. That is a HUGE percentage. Yet no one had done a thing prior to these studies. They had to know something.

Just like Vioxx, how many died from that and all the other crap drugs they give to us like we are their personal guinea pigs? My mother was on 24 different kinds of medication at one time! I called and had her taken off of 13 of them after I threatened to sue the Dr. All were FDA approved and they were literally killing her with all that.

This is all to do with money and power, nothing to do with what they claim to be.

This reminds me of what happened to my great aunt (RIP). She was on about 18 different meds, and was on a doctor-ordered salt-free, sugar-free, fat-free diet. She finally (no surprise) had a massive heart attack, and ended up on life support. After about 4 days of no-response, they decided to pull the plug. When they pulled it, she started breathing on her own, and got a bit better throughout the next two weeks. She had been off all of her meds because they thought she would never make it off of life support. She did make it off life support, but they gave her a very, very poor prognosis and sent her home to die, sans meds. Well, she got better. And better. And better. And within 4 months, she was pretty much a new woman. Docs were amazed of course, and decided that she had a long while left to live yet, so they put her back on all her FDA-approved meds. Within a week she was dead.

OMG! JLeigh! I am so sorry about your aunt, that is so sad and terrible. But, unfortunately, I believe this is more the norm than something unusual. Every time I turned around they had Mom's meds jacked up again and we'd make them take her back off of a bunch of them. Some were duplicates and triplicates. When we'd get her off what we could, she'd get better, sometimes it was like she was losing her mind, then she'd become lucid again when off them. They ended up killing her and my dad both with their drugs within 6 months of each other last year. Nothing will ever convince me differently, no one can take that many drugs and have their organs function properly. My dad had a pain patch that is now under class action lawsuit.
