One other note - the o-rings on the single coil version appear to be a tad thinner than on the dual coil version. They are a different colour (white as opposed to red on my two units) and the cap is much looser with the white rings on the single.

I know there have been some comments about the looseness which I wondered about since my original dual cap fit so snuggly.

Yeah, I ordered the Dual Coil version but must have gotten sent the Single. It had a loose cap with one hole, and the white O-Rings. But, with a machinist's help and some floss, it's rocking two holes and the cap is nice and tight now. Made my own dual coil version, ha ha, and it's awesome! Another amazing set-up to my already amazing REO, many thanks to Rob, once again..... :)

Well, I want to thank you Papa_L for the initial review you provided. After cruising along with the RM2 for a solid year on my one and only Grand and feeling like it couldn't get much better, I followed your advice and got the dual-coil RM3. For the first couple of weeks I played around with different builds (27 and 28g) but kept going back to old faithful (RM2) - just couldn't get it completely dialed in to my liking. Then I saw one of Super-X's videos on the Odin and saw him using 29g at 6 wraps, so I decided to try two 6-wraps of 30g around a 1/16 drill bit at .59 ohms and BAAM! This little RM3 is kickin consistent stellar flavor and huge vapor! Not sure why, but the smaller diameter wire really made a big difference for me on this setup. I can't believe I'm saying this but the RM2 is in the back seat now. I still love it too, but the DC RM3 is simply outperforming it for flavor and vapor. It's producing a nice warm full vapor - but not too hot.

Just when you think you have the best setup going, something comes along and trumps it. My next adventure will be the Odin (once I scrape together the coin for an LP Grand). Could it be even better? Time will tell and it will be a lot of fun testing those waters. Thanks again for sharing your findings.

For flavour chasers the 2 best bets would seem to be the Odin (super-x is a fan) and the Magma, on a LP grand. I use Atomics on mine (RM4s) but there's a lot of differences in how i make my coils and how you do. I don't use cotton.

The reason i like variable airflow is that i am not limited to whatever size of hole is drilled in the topcap, and SS is not fun to drill. The RM3 is, i believe an A6 atty(?) and it's a good one along with things like the Igo, so i'm not shocked that you can get some good results from it. You might look at a Cyclone too with the AFC for a LP grand although i have never had one.

I know, right? I never would have thought that the RM2 could be topped at it's own game, but the RM3, with the right build, is just magnificent while preserving the vape characteristics of the RM2.

What ohm do you like? A single coil RM3 with 28ga can produce loads of warm flavor.

Right now I'm at .8 but want to go a little lower. If I get the RM3 for the LP Grand..I see that it's listed twice-one for single and one for dual so if I remember correctly, someone said one has one air hole the other two? What if I want to do both single and dual coils on it (play around and see what I like best)? I don't know which to get.

ETA- kickin myself right now cuz I had the chance to buy the Odin and now it's sold out-UGH

Great idea and thanks!

Yup - this would be the way to go. I have both SC and DC versions of the RM3. The SC cap has one larger hole, the DC has two smaller ones horizontally opposed.

I've done a dual with a SC cap - not optimal. Haven't plugged a hole on the DC cap with a single, but that would be better. Just be mindful that the one unplugged hole in the DC cap would be smaller than the hole in the SC cap.

Awesome and thanks and I remember now..you told me to try and see if I can buy two top caps :facepalm:I forgot because I keep waiting for the LP Grand color I wanted and it's still not up so all my 'mental notes' have disappeared. LOLOL

No worries, AB. Maybe PM Rob to see if he can hook you up with both caps - it would give you the most flexibility with this great little atty.

I bothered the poor guy enough today so I just ordered my second REO, a Grand this time and went with the dual RM3. I figured if I set up a single coil in it and it's too airy, I will bug him later for just the single top cap. LOLOL I really wanted to get the Odin but I'm tired of stalking Loki's website.

And....just realized all my batts for all my mods are 18490  So I gotta jump on RTDs site and get some batts stat. Thank you for all your help on the RM3. Very excited to try it.

I doubt it will be too airy, it's a pretty tiny RBA, with some pretty tiny holes.

I would recommend trying a dual with 6 wraps of 30g around a 1/16 drill bit on each coil. I remain amazed with the vapor/flavor from this build.
