Real trash article on e-cigs posted today.
In spite of the headline, the reader is left to guess what the 19 chemicals might be, since there is no evidence or links to studies to validate the claim. And in case you didn't know, "Occupational Safety and Health lists propylene glycol as an inhalant risk and recommends immediate fresh air if the chemical is inhaled." I'm heading outside - now!!

You'll see this same article syndicated in a number of medial news sites. Look for this first paragraph:

It's no easy task to quit smoking and the lure of an e-cigarette, which claims to mimic the smoking experience without the harmful chemicals, seems a dream come true for many smokers. According Philip McAndrew, MD, Loyola University Health System physician and smoking cessation expert, that dream can quickly turn into a nightmare with no FDA product regulations. The truth is little is known about the chemicals e-cigarette smokers are inhaling. What is known is there is an increase in the number of adolescents smoking them.

I've collected a list of examples in today's round-up. Watch for the small local papers and TV/radio sites to start quoting from this disgraceful pile of junk ... I predict we'll be seeing quotes taken from it for many months to come.

Another important fact that Phillips brings up is something I noted a while back - if a smoker blows hard against the fist (say) with mouth closed - AFTER and even long after they've smoked a cigarette - and then exhale, smoke will come out. When you use smokers in these studies - that aspect should be fully taken into consideration, because it tells nothing about second hand vapor. His point that newbies don't inhale in the way more experienced vapers do, is another study stopper.
