So I used the Ejuicemeup calc and made 2 - 3ml bottles of 555 tobacco flavor in 2% and 4%, in hopes of one of them being ok in a couple weeks. I got in 20 of the 45 flavors I've ordered, but wanted to get that steeping before I did anything else.

Did I start too high with the flavor? I've read so much, seems that everyone is using from 1% to 15% on tobacco flavors. I thought it best to start low, can always add more later. They had their massage and are in their bath, since that's all I can do until I get my UC and milk frotherthingie.

Have no idea what it's supposed to taste like, just know it's a tobacco flavor.:) Looking for something to add menthol to. Have several other tobacco flavors coming so I can decide which I like best with menthol. Any suggestions for that?

TIA

So I tried them both, yes, they do taste nutty, reminds me of peanut butter and I'd have no problem vaping either of them right now. The 4% is slightly stronger than the 2%, naturally and I do like them both. If they get better in a few weeks, I'll be beside myself with joy! These have to steep?? Dang. I wouldn't bother adding menthol to this. I was looking for a plain ole tobacco taste that I could put menthol in, not something that tastes this good.

Great! I've been vaping the 2% all day!:vapor: I like that whole 'nutty' thing.

I made a mistake on the Nic though. I was thinking 100mg, because that is on it's way, but used 48mg that I had bought while waiting for WL to get it back in stock. I put 100mg on the calc to bring it down to 16 mg. So I'm guessing it's probably less than 8mg. Not a problem though, I like it! If that's the case, I'll be making juice with less Nic than I had intended, from now on.:thumb:

Less NIC reduces the throat hit and harshness so if it's good for you I would stay there. As I was quitting cigarettes I went from 24mg to 18 to 14 and find the vapes much more flavorful and less harsh where I am now. I also changed my base from 75pg/25vg to 50/50 and now I'm at 35/65 and find the vape is now a thicker fuller and smoother vape.

These are brand new CE4s clearos, just got them in my original order (from China) although I had gone to a B&M to buy a batt and Davide Tank, while I was waiting, I'm impatient like that. (I bought a total of 11 CE4s)

Anyway, I got them, excited that I could have several flavors going at once, but .....after a few hits, have to put it down and grab another and let it 'rest' a while. I'm hoping the higher PG juice will wick better in the clearos. I read another post where someone else is having the same issue.

LOL yeah, VV, I have a VV passthru with no instructions!

If the clearos that you are using have the coils at the top, then you have to turn sideways to make sure that the juice is getting up that far. Also, darker flavors have a tendency to burn if you vape too rapidly.

What kind of passthru do you have? Does it have a dial at the bottom?

:)

The clearos do it even when full, I think it's just not wicking well. Hoping a higher pg content will help. For now, I'm gonna dump my tank and use it. Have 2 more glassos coming, but don't want to toss 11 new clearos.

I called the store where I bought the passthru, as soon as they opened a few minutes ago and they explained the various colors and voltage settings to me. It doesn't have a dial, you change it with the button. No battery, just passthrough.

Thanks ya'll!

Your going to want to figure out how to adjust the voltage on your VV and turn it down. I'm quite sure that's your problem.

I haven't used the clearos on the passthru, only use it for the 510 drip. The clearos are on a standard ego type batt, 900 or 1100mah. Yes, I figured out the vv passthru after getting the info from the store. I like it best low, @ 3.3v. I've been using the 510 and the passthru as much as the others. Tastes better. :)

May I ask whose flavor you used?

Sent from my LG G2, using Smack-a-talk HD.

TFA 555, love it! I've ignored everything else since night before last. I can see this being my go to and I really think this will help me get off those last few analogs. Down to about 6-7 a day from 2.5 PAD 40+ yr habit.:thumb:

555 is very good. One of my go to's

I agree, I'm loving it and I was a menthol analog smoker! Didn't think I'd find a tobacco flavor that I liked without menthol, but I love this.

Now if I can figure out what to do about the mornings. I can't vape for 2-3 hours after I get up, it chokes the crap out of me. After 2-3 analogs, I'm fine and can vape the rest of the day, especially with this 8mg. I'm wondering if I should make some at maybe 4mg or less and see if that will work in the AM to get off the analogs completely.

I posted this question in the 'older folks' forum since I fall in that category. Any ideas Danny?

This is one of the reasons I use a variable volt PV. I like a lower hit in the morning so i just turn the voltage down. Using a non tobacco flavor also helps. As the day goes on I lose the hit at the lower voltage and start going up or I might switch to a stronger flavor. On the other hand my mixing methods aren't very conventional and I often just add a few drops of a mixed juice like coffee to a fruit flavor directly into my mini nova. Delicious with peach in the morning when my taste buds are most sensitive.

Do you know what kind vv you have? I am thinking that it may just be an ego type which works as regulated device at 3.3 volt and the other mode is non regulated at battery voltage.
What are the ohms of your clearomizers?
By the way i am 70. So I may qualify as one of the older folks.

Thanks Traver! The only vv I have is my passthrough that I use with my 510 da for testing flavors. My other batts are standard ego.

But I have found that I like my passthru at it's lowest setting 3.3. I may try moving my tank to it and see if I can use that 1st thing in the morning.

All my heads are SR, 2.4-2.5 as I understand it. Have a couple tanks coming with a little lower ohms, 1.8-2.2. Being that this is all new to me, I've spent a small fortune buying everything that has been recommended to me and need to hold off a while (like THAT will happen). Already have a 'shopping cart' in process and will probably add a VV/VW to it before it's submitted. I just have no clue how to use that sort of thing and like the simplicity of my ego and Davide Tank.

Was hoping what I have and have coming, will hold me for a year, then blow it out next Christmas. I know, if I manage to get off the analogs completely, my son will buy me anything my heart desires come next Christmas. He's been wanting me to quite for over 30 due to health issues, but I am now seeing it as a real possibility. Maybe if I can understand, use and like the VV, I'll hit him up for a Provari for Christmas next year. :D
