Ever since we have had the two Pyrs here, we have lost no chickens to foxes or coyotes. That is not to say that if one of the roosters was chasing mama around the horse corral (all our chickens are free range), one or more of the cats might have had chick snacks. But neither of us ever saw any other chicks except the lost one we brought in last night.

Just brought home an Anatolian Pyr cross... A pyratolean? An ananese? We lost a lamb two years ago and brought in one that kept the nasties at bay, but would bark at mice and frogs and ended up killing a stray cat... can't keep a cat killer around, so we went guardless for about three months...

Wasn't much of an issue here. Some good winds and a lot of rain. Other places had flooding, landslides, cars flipped and buildings tore up.
