I just wrapped a 4/5 on my DID. It's reading .9Ω and it is hitting like a truck! This is what I was getting by braiding the 32, but I don't like braiding wire because it limits the clearance between the wick and the + post. I have to say I am very impressed with this wire. For it to be burning this good without being seasoned, tomorrow it will be insane. We made a good move here.

BTW, I'm using a hybrid wick comprised of #500 mesh with a pc of Nextel XS 116 in the center.

can I get some 30 ga as well?

We will start a list for the 30. I just want to be sure that anybody that hasn't gotten any, gets the opportunity to get some. Right now 3lbs served 80 members. I have another 3 lbs on the way. There should be plenty for us to start doubling up. The 30 will have more wire per lb, as it is lighter. Maybe we can do something like members who already got 100', can get 50' of the 30. Just a thought. We will figure it out. I am open to suggestions.

Just so everyone is on the same page. We are getting 30 ga wire, and there will be a list for it. We haven't worked out the details yet on how were going to go about it. So stay tuned.
We still have a lot of members who haven't paid for the first round. So I want to get a list up tomorrow of those members. Then we will go from there.
I am crashing early tonight. I am all spooled out.
Thanks all, vape happy!

that could be explained by people waiting for their pms as it is usually done ........... anybody who did not follow this thread wouldn't know the procedure was streamlined.
if you publish the list maybe we all can send a few pms each with instructions on how to pay.

I use gennys exclusively, and I have been braiding 32 to get about .9Ω coils. I haven't had a chance to try the 28 yet. 2 miles of wire , you'd think I could wrap a coil. :)

I will tonight and then I will be better able to say one way or the other.

I'm using the ody for the most part, and trying to avoid fiddling with dual coils. I'm pretty sure the Ω/ft. on the 28 will solve that problem, as basically I just want a 1Ω coild. Still have miles of the 32, though. You have a link describing braiding? i.e. any particular method of twisting them together?

Nice. Yeah, I've used the drill trick before in my car stereo days. So far, a dual coil is the only way I've been able to get down to the 1 ohm range to be able to use 3.7v again. Been 6v for over a year now, but I want my GG in shorty mode. :) Hoping this 28 ga. works out in just a standard single coil. Seems like it should...

It's not that the dc are hard, per se, but definitely less consistent and more finicky. I only end up with about 1/4 that I'm happy with once all assembled, and that gets old quick.
