WoW - just looked at the calendar...
I hit the 30 DAY MARK! Woot! Been an odd journey so far (but a good one), lots of "moments",
from discovering that now, when I bring the groceries in, I no longer have to stop at the top of the stairs to catch a breath...
no more hairballs when waking up...
I can SMELL things again (like the smoking room in one of the facilities I deliver to - "You mean I used to join in THAT?! Phew!)...
the look on my favorite waitress's face when, after dinner, I pulled out my PV (I KNEW she would ask me what I was thinking BEFORE she threw me out - I tend to tip like a drunken sailor and she KNOWS it! :2cool:)...
The Trooper who pulled me over for vaping on the thruway (I'm still looking for him to join us, but not yet)...
watching the count on my banner going up...
all the people who have come to me and asked me about my PV - "how has it been for you?"...
yep - interesting times... let's hope the next 30 are as good!

(where the heck did my banner go???) Ah, there it is now!

Thanks everyone! I quit smoking the day I got my kit in and it's been great. It's taken me a little while to figure everything out but this site has helped so much. I started with V2 (agh!) and made the switch not long after to V4L and couldn't be happier! For any newbies - be sure to go strong on the nic level to make sure you don't crave a cig. I did 11mg and it worked for me but was a little lacking. I switched to 18mg a couple days ago and now I'm fully satisfied! I can feel the nic difference, vape a bit less, but the big thing is the TH (especially when drinking).

I've been experimenting with juice/carts but found that I always come back to V4L so I think I'm done searching companies. I've finally found my mainstays - 18mg Kamel Menthol, Smilin Menthol, and Dunhall if I feel like a "regular". And I've already converted 5 of my friends! Happy vaping! :)

Awesome Nitemist & Scootness.....there is just something about that first month that is so exhilarating especially if you have tried to quit and failed after a couple days or weeks. Just remember....be prepared to be attacked by the analog zombies at all times...they have a sneaky way of surprising you between months 1 and 3. :thumb:

I'm sure both you are like blood hounds now as you can detect a burning cigarettes from 100 yards away.....crazy isn't it?

SnowDragon, you're absolutely right! I can smell it from a huge distance now. Very weird.

Honestly, I never wanted or tried to quit before but the health issues were finally starting to catch up with me, plus they just passed a smoking ban here in all bars/restaurants. I loved smoking, especially when drinking. So I just decided to do this one day (actually for Lent for you other catholics out there) and I love it! I'll never go back. I feel 10 times healthier, can do it indoors again, and it's cheaper than smoking! Plus I just love playing with all the new toys/flavors haha

Congrats to both you guys Nitemist & Scootness, it's all good from there. If most people that attempt to vape would seriously give it a full couple of days, they would have it licked. I've seen some quit the moment they start vaping.

I too was amazed how quick all my senses came back, 'tis funny how you can smell a cig a mile away. It's a shame they couldn't have invented these things years ago.
