I just have to celebrate for a second! I never in a million years would have imagined being here at this amount of time, and it's amazing! I couldn't have done it without the support and help on the forum so I wanted to say Thank You ALL for being so welcoming, friendly, helpful, and knowlegeable! I am SO grateful!

For newcomers, if you follow the advice of really seasoned members on the forum, you will find yourself succeeding! I would have failed the first day if I hadn't gone... Hmm... something isn't working... And found this forum. I am truly grateful and can't even believe this day came! I already feel insanely better healthwise and yesterday I was busily talking to my favorite brother on the phone, and telling him how great I felt, how fantastic it was, and how I could SING again! He's a musician, I was for awhile, but I do like to sing and am enjoying the guitar more than the violin... In fact, he and I agreed to resume guitar lessons via skype, so I'm really excited :)

Monday will be a big test, oral surgery was moved to then. It's really... ominous when the receptionist calls and says, "So, the periodontist has reviewed your records and decided we need more than 2 hours, can we move you to Monday?" Yikes (I'm doing it awake). Maybe he'll let me vape through my nose, halfway through, LOL, though I doubt it. I'm all prepared though, I got nicotine patches, a ton of advil, and I plan to just.... Pass out a lot, afterward. And, vape Nose to Lung. :)

But YAY and THANK YOU, ECF! You guys are the best. Really. Thank you.

Anna

LOL, see what I mean? I mean, my mom's happy I'm vaping etc., but no one (besides my sis, who quit cold turkey) is going to send me rickrolls or thumbs up today, they just have no idea how hard it is those first few... well, whatever length of time it is before it gets easier, depending. I mean, that's great for THEM. But, no clue(s), really... Thanks, guys :)

The first month is definitley a mind blower. For me it was 7 or 8 hours after I started. When it dawned on me that I had had (is that proper wording?) no desire for a smoke in that amount of time, I was amazed! Congratulations, Anna!

Just open up the airflow and vape slowly. I had a tooth pulled, surgery style and vaped 15 minutes later, gently. Then I went on a 20 mile bike ride with packing still on the hole. It healed just fine.

Vaping has hardly any of the effects of smoking on dental work and healing.

Congrats on 30 days, pretty soon it'll be a year, then two.
