I set up my in-law with a vamo, a few carto tanks, and some 36mg/ml 80PG/20VG e-liquid about 2 months ago. She say's she still needs cigs that the e-liquid doesn't give her the fix she is used to but she has cut down to 2 packs a day after 2 weeks but has stayed at 2 packs a day since and she is still using the ecig. What should she do? go WTA?

Update- She currently smokes then vapes instead of chain smoking 2 cigarettes. I will suggest she vapes before smoking as mentioned in this forum. If there is no improvement I'll order some WTA juice. She's doing good so far, was just looking for advice on the next step.

Comments on suggesting different mods, she is ok with the size and the one she has is easy to use (which is important). We've tried different ohm ratings and she likes 2.4ohm and the tobacco flavors. I'm also going to mix a cherry+tobacco flavor for her to move her mind away from the tobacco. Unfortunatly, I only see her once every couple weeks.

A lot of it is a mental thing. Sure they know they need to quit, but do they really WANT to quit? It's all in the mind that you want to quit. One of my boys did pack and a half since he was 7, 23 now. Dude started on six, he only does 6mg. It's all in the mind, I truly believe.

This is true, 2 PAD is a cigarette every 25 minutes of a 16hr waking day. If you are vaping and WANT to quit there is no way you would be smoking a cigarette every 20 minutes.

Instead of chain smoking 2 which takes all of 10 minutes tops, she smokes one then vapes. She's divorced and stays at home so she doens't have much to do. Her only excersize is to walk the dog. I was afraid it was a mental thing, like something she has left that she doesn't want to give up... but she still says she wants to quit. She also says she likes the taste of the ecig. What about snus and e-cig? has anyone done that?

What worked for me was changing my habits.
The nic delivery system was cool. The first cup of coffee with my kanger evod and my joyetech 650 pass through and it was ok I knew I had a chance. I have posted before what I did but I will do it again. Its all about at least for me, changing her habit.

When she first wakes up.
Reach for the vape vape a while. Then smoke.
That firs cup of coffe take a few vapes, then if u feel smoke.
After a meal, vape first. Then smoke.
Whatever situation that she would trigger an analog.
Have her vape a bit.
Thats what worked for me.
Then finally after a week I said ... and vaped full time.
Good luck

That's great, but how in the heck does someone smoke 4 packs a day? Meeting that nic fix might require bathing in 100 mg ejuice. I wouldn't up from 36 mg.

Not smoking the cig all the way down as I did. Heck man I would light up smoke half and then toss.
Its all about the ritual of the smoking at least for me.
See what I liked, when getting set up and sampling my juices.
I liked the click of the button much akin to striking that lighter.
Smoking is a ritual, just like vaping has somewhat turned into a ritual

U know I anm observing a situation from a distance. My friends sis in law is on an oxygen tank
and still smokes, I keep telling her to get this gear for her.
So maybe I will have to give up a batt and have her go and buy some juice this weekend.
But I am hardcore, I know if I can do it with this kinda gear man anyone can.
The big part though is always willingness

I used snus with the ecig for the first few weeks. Only during meetings that were 2 hours or more. I think it helped. didn't take long to quit it as well. first few weeks are tough mentally for sure.

A good point - but a decent e-liquid in a decent delivery device with a good battery could actually help this lady. Keep trying!

Normally I would agree with you but its apparent something is going on with this woman that no safe amount of nic is going to fix. It almost sounds like a very extreme hand to mouth fixation. The one thing (the only) cigalikes did for me was to mock that feeling of having a cig in my hand. I would fool with it even when I wasn't vaping. I was much more comfortable with it in public because it looked like a cig. I would agree that upping her mg past 36mg may become dangerous for someone like her. Sounds like she always needs a hand to mouth thing going on so maybe the vape, smoke, vape thing might work. GL to the OP on helping his friend.

What he said but one more suggestion I just thought of
U mentioned a vammo. Its all about the psychological thing.
I would get her just a regular passthrough egoc 900 mah silver,
and maybe a kanger evod silver.
Here is why. Because the slim clyndrical
feel of it will or may I know it does for me, gives me
that feeling of comfort of holding my old friend a regular cigarette.
The reason I don't reccomend a twist is because now she probably
just needs the simplicity. Also those darn twists take seemingly forever to charge.
U may wanna give that a try as well.
I'm wow coming up on a month this saturday, and even though I did
step it up a bit and got the ego-v v2. I still like the sveltness of that
regular ego-c style. Its just comfort and a blend of the new with the old familiar.
The click of the button the ritual.....
I really get passionate, like I see most of you on here do. Because I desire the hopeless
cases like myself here to get this

I believe many, including myself, here got into this just to cut back. I think that put us in a favorable frame of mind in that we weren't "quitting". So, no pressure.

If I had entered into this looking to quit, I'd have been panicking and smoking more. Cutting her usage in half is Awesome! Gotta give it time. Many here don't quit for months.
